Tricked into conversation again (at home and by Chips)! Some of us are slower learners.
Not ‘toi’ vc!
Mais oui; I always fall for this distract-with-convo tactic, Layla. I’m either too polite to resist, or too nosy. ;) ;)
Hey vc! long time no meet up :-)
Very funny, Gx2!  I haven’t figured out the buttons on my new gadget, and at the rate I’m going I’ll probably still be saying that in the summer. In fact, I turned it off, until I have more time to maybe look up the instruction booklet. ;)
You will only learn by using your new gadget, lawdy girl! You keep me chuckling, LOL!!!
Good Day Everyone!

I don’t want to hear anything Peter King have to say, because Republicans like him go along with whatever B.S. the Tea Party cook up.
.@CollegeDems This is what Pres @BarackObama is doing about #studentloans: whitehouse.gov/the-press-offi… This is what the @GOP is doing: Voting NO— meta (@metaquest) June 11, 2014
The 13-page essay, titled “God and Advanced Mammon — Can Theological Types Handle Usury and Capitalism?,” was published by “Interpretation: A Journal of Bible and Theology.”
According to the Journal, one section of the essay discussed how if Christian people “had the guts to spread the word,” government would not need to “backstop every action we take.” Then it stated:
Capitalism is here to stay, and we need a church model that corresponds to that reality. Read Nietzsche. Nietzsche’s diagnosis of the weak modern Christian democratic man was spot on. Jesus was a great man. Jesus said he was the Son of God. Jesus made things happen. Jesus had faith. Jesus actually made people better. Then came the Christians. What happened? What went wrong? We appear to be a bit passive. Hitler came along, and he did not meet with unified resistance. I have the sinking feeling that it could all happen again, quite easily. The church should rise up higher than Nietzsche could see and prove him wrong. We should love our neighbor so much that we actually believe in right and wrong, and do something about it. If we all did the right thing and had the guts to spread the word, we would not need the government to backstop every action we take.

On AF-1, @jearnest44 used gaggle to slam Senate Republicans for blocking student loan refinanance bill.— Mark Knoller (@markknoller) June 11, 2014
What’s a ‘refinanance’ bill about. Knoller?
@markknoller Just because twitter allows 140 characters doesn't mean you have to make up words just to use them all "refinanance" :-)— Donna NoShock (@NoShock) June 11, 2014
“We’ve been somewhat trapped by rhetoric and words and amnesty is a word that’s trapped us,” Paul said during a call organized by immigration reform supporters, as recorded by the Wall Street Journal. “We’re trapped in a word that means different things to different people. … I really think that some of it is we’re trapped in this rhetoric and we have to get beyond that.”
Paul says that he supports immigration reform, but he voted against the comprehensive Senate bill.
On Wednesday, he reiterated his support for reform, and said that he would need more assurances that the border is secure.
“I’ve always said I’m for it, I just want to be part of the process,” he said. “I don’t feel that anybody really wanted my vote because they never asked me what I thought.”
Twisted Logic…..this fool has some lefties following him?
As a Senator with his Own Mind,…..he wants to be asked for his votes? This beats all. Seriously?

Fantastic news Bobfr. Thanks, as usual for keeping us informed.
I’m sitting here trying to remember who spoke at my high school graduation. It is coming to mind but I bet these kids won’t ever forget. :)
I don’t even remember who spoke at my university graduation, so forget high school!
I hear ya.
:) :) Lousy memory at 39, eh?
Ha. I’m damn near twice yours so I’m hopeless,
 You didn’t take that number seriously, did you, YA? Since age is supposedly just a number, I simply plucked a number out of the air.
Whatevah. I gotta take ya at your word. Besides, Jack Benny has used up the 39 number. Better get another one, eh? ;)
;) 22? No…. Chips already has that covered. Working on it.
I see you.
I’m not going to step through that door. I know my place…….Thank you very much!
Now to the President’s speech.
The ceremony has started. This graduation crowd appears to be quite ENERGIZED…I’m bracing myself for our President’s appearance.
2014 Kids’ State Dinner Winners Announced!
// The judges were extremely impressed by this year’s entries. The winning recipes were chosen based on USDA’s MyPlate recommendations and based on the challenge criteria of being healthy, original, tasty, and affordable.
The winners represent every U.S. state, three territories, and the District of Columbia. These fifty-four children, ages 8-12, along with their parents or guardians will travel to the White House on July 18th to attend the third annual Kids’ “State Dinner.” During the event, the kid chefs will join the First Lady and enjoy a healthy lunch featuring a selection of the winning recipes, followed by a visit to the White House Kitchen Garden.//
I enjoy seeing the Kid’s State Dinner.
The crowd at the technical high school seems to be quite excited and great supporters of their POTUS.

This is the much touted McCain/Sanders VA Bill, so let the record show….
This can’t be so, the Republicans care so much about Veterans.
Let’s hope he doesn’t succeed in doing that. The bill just passed a procedural vote.

Cantor’s loss has consequences – a few scared GOPers perhaps?
Morning Miss – just a quick visit – busy day today
But it’s already tomorrow for you, so you’ve lost a whole day trying to get things done.
But I get to live every day twice – got to be some benefit in that – or not – maybe I really am 132 years old
OMG, the Queen is posting at TOD!!!! :-)
In more Democratic districts, there was higher turnout in Tuesday’s primary than there was for Ken Cucinelli, the GOP gubernatorial candidate in 2013.
However, turnout was even higher in Republican precincts, and Brat carried the precincts won by Cucinelli in 2013 with 56 percent of the vote, according to the Times.
“But it would be hard to argue that Democrats made up the margin of victory. Turnout was still far, far higher in Republican precincts. Democratic areas did not contribute a large number of votes: Only 5,722 votes were cast in precincts where Mr. Cuccinelli failed to eclipse 40 percent of the vote. Mr. Brat won by 7,212 votes over all,” Cohn wrote.
Independents were not counted, right?
The margin could have been smaller, right?
That 5,722 Dems actually went and voted to get Cantor eliminated is a BFD!
Wow. That number may not seem like a lot, but it is a game changer.
This article makes me more likely to believe the Dem operation chaos theory for Brat’s victory. The truth is usually the opposite of whatever the msm/gop wants us to think.
Those graduates waiting for POTUS are losing their minds yelling and cheering.
Hard to see how the volume can go up, but it will when PBO goes to the podium, won’t it?
Boehner is in tears in HC-5 as Cantor speaks and members look on. Rare display of emotion by Cantor, who was mostly dry in elex speech— Robert Costa (@costareports) June 11, 2014
Cantor about to give a presser, but this must have been just before.
Boehner’s crying again?
Pass the salt.
Has Sec. Hagel finish speaking to Congress?
Yes. I watched most of the hearing and Bagel did very well. Some a**hole Rethug asked how what PBO did was different than when Nixon broke the law. Hagel said “what”? The house wants to impeach PBO for getting a soldier back…..what jerks.

Oops… Disregard this.
