I would add that Oregon now has 428K enrollments thanks to Obamacare. 300K enrolled through Cover Oregon, 128K enrolled through fast track enrollment into the Oregon Health Plan. http://resources.coveroregon.com/Enrollment-update.html Every Mon. afternoon I enroll a few more into the expanded Medicaid-Oregon Health Plan.

As a fellow Oregonian, I am thrilled to hear that news! Thanks, Bill. Monica Wehby will be very sad about this.

I wondered since Bob Cesca didn’t give any links. I’ll delete the tweet. Cesca is usually reliable.

        • June 17, 2014 at 2:21 pm

I think Bob mis-read the following:

          https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/alt.politics/-L8KTov16Fw

“The State Department is expected to tie Qumus group to the Benghazi
attack when it designates three branches of Ansar al-Sharia, in Darnah,
Benghazi and Tunisia, as foreign terrorist organizations in the coming
          days.

In 2007, Qumu was released from the U.S. prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba,
and sent to Libya, where he was detained. The Libyan government released
          him in 2008.

He and two other men, militia leaders Ahmed Abu Khattala and Seif Allah
bin Hassine, will be identified as specially designated global
terrorists, a determination that allows U.S. officials to freeze their
financial assets and bar American citizens and companies from doing
          business with them.”

Qumu was released by GWB. AAK was a Libyan militia leader (until he was captured by the US! :) )

Mighty P says ‘Hi’ and to let you know her building’s wi-fi is down again so she’ll look in when things get sorted out.

I have to say that my system has been dancing in and out too, which is extremely irritating. In fact, the telephone technician/installers are supposed to show up this afternoon (between 12 and 5pm  ) to bring me an updated and faster modem. I’m not optimistic that this will solve the problem, but since I’ll end up paying a couple of $$ cheaper per month for improved services (it’s a special, don’t you know), I’m going along for the ride.

      June 17, 2014 at 1:57 pm

It is astounding to me that the alleged ‘free market’ is supposed to benefit the consumer: I live in Chicago and for broadband I have the choice of creaky AT&T, who must be ‘fair’ to its shareholders and use phone lines that were strung 60 years ago; or Comcast who has screwed up the order each and every time I’ve tried to pay for their monopolistic service.

      ‘Choice’ my ass.

The capture of Ahmed Abu Khatailah demonstrates the administrations competence. Appropriate and effective police work, and use of military force. No casualties, no drama, no fuss. This would really help the GOP Benghazi hearings!!!! NOT.!!!!!

Is it one of the two that appeared at one of Issa’s hearings? I don’t recall their names but the death of their children was PBO and Sec Clinton’s fault.

    • 75 Melanie
      June 17, 2014 at 2:37 pm

Yep true to form she was just on saying calling Colin Powell, Hillary Clinton and of course PBO liars. She said something about PBO being in Las Vegas placing bets or something. This woman is clearly unhinged and was probably that way before her son was killed.

      • 76 Nena20409
        June 17, 2014 at 2:51 pm

It is irresponsible for CNN to be exploiting a woman who has lost her son and who no doubt has bent up issues ideologically. When Grief meets Ideology, the combo is indeed toxic and can be explosive.

There was Cindy Sheehan(sp) who lost her only son in 2003 in Iraq…..if memory serves me right. She became active and later a political activist, a grieving mother…..and she ended up losing her husband and alienating one of her daughters and later, lost it when she went on going against Leader Pelosi. Unchecked grief is not always a good thing. This woman. I feel for her, but I see her using her anger and ideology in a misguided fashion. It will not end well.

Are they LIVE streaming this event? C-SPAN.org is also Live Streaming it.

Since regular folks are asking questions….perhaps they are looking for nefarious elements staged by the GOPers to Go Rogue?

      • 83 hopefruit2
        June 17, 2014 at 2:36 pm

They’re looking for something – that much we know.

Most likely something that would allow them to distract from his effective capture of the militant in Benghazi.

Don’t laugh, but my new ‘faster’ service modem was just installed, and it’s so fast the WH feed keeps rushing ahead. If you ask me, it’s not very impressive so far. Am I the only one seeming to have this problem, or is the problem common to all WH.GOV users right now?

        • 88 jacquelineoboomer
          June 17, 2014 at 3:05 pm

If I ask my adult son to pick up a box for me, he’ll ask why not one for him, too? He pours milk and eats the whole box. At my house, so he doesn’t have to “share” (only child syndrome). They are bloody addictive, but I try to stretch mine out over a week.

          • 89 57andfemale
            June 17, 2014 at 3:53 pm

I could never make them last a week. the only cure is to not have them in the house at all. Also, I’m finding that sugar really screws me up. Giving it up entirely, however – not gonna happen.

Wow Meta, this is wonderful news! I am an ethical omnivore and always look for sustainable seafood, for environmental reasons but also because, after you do some research on how a lot of our seafood is raised and prepared, you literally wouldn’t want to eat some of it for health and cleanliness reasons alone.

This President and First Lady have done so much good in these areas that no other US President has done or probably would do. These are the things most Americans aren’t even aware of that will protect/improve the planet and our health.

And we find this out on the same day we find out he has brought the Benghazi guy to justice!

      PBO is a miracle!

Was it something he considered a “throwaway” vote? Like the guy was going to win the judgeship confirmation, anyway, so Manchin could look like the bad guy for his voters but really not mess anything up for the Dems? Hate it when they don’t stand up, but that’ll take a long time to change.

Please those who Tweet, please ask these News Media outlets how was it that Peter Berman(sp) a CNN security analyst for years was able to interview OBL in 1998 or so when US was looking for him. And over the years, many Journos have been able to interview those US and/or law enforcement were searching for many months or years before they were ever captured or apprehended.

For any respectable Journo to be asking why was this Benghazi ringleader was not apprehended FIRST or why was a CNNer was able to interview him is beyond buffoonery.
