Saw some of the reality show “Southern Charm” (I like Charleston) and Ravenel. He claims to be from a long-time political family. You know, first time I’ve ever pulled for a guy to run for office who has a cocaine bust in his past (which he discussed on the show) … but, hey, if he can make Lindsay Graham hurt a bit, why not? Plus, since it’s clear he’s running against Graham, wouldn’t that help the Democrat?

    That’s right zero.
    You wonder why Charlie?

When he got into trouble, PBO said Charlie should resign…..which he should have. I think Nancy protected him because they are friends. If they got rid of Anthony Weiner they should have gotten rid of Charlie Rangel. Charlie is cut from the same cloth as Bill & Hill.

              June 26, 2014 at 12:46 am

I am saying that is probably why PBO when asked if CR should resign and he said yes but it’s up to the voters. PBO probably knows from his 2008 run for President that CR did not endorse him during the primary because he was a puma. CR is 84yrs old…time to go dude.

Regarding the Detroit water situation, the U.N. has made a statement.

    http://themetapicture.com/canada-the-only-place-youll-see-something-like-this/

“GENEVA (25 June 2014) – Three UN experts* on the human rights to water and sanitation, adequate housing, and extreme poverty and human rights expressed concern Wednesday about reports of widespread water disconnections in the US city of Detroit of households unable to pay water bills. “Disconnection of water services because of failure to pay due to lack of means constitutes a violation of the human right to water and other international human rights,” the experts said.”

“Leilani Farha, the expert on the right to adequate housing, expressed concern that children are being removed by social services from their families and homes because, without access to water, their housing is no longer considered adequate. “If these water disconnections disproportionately affect African Americans they may be discriminatory, in violation of treaties the US has ratified,” Farha added.”

Pathetic for the residents of Detroit, and pathetic for the reputation of our country.

This should be a lessen for the folks who don’t vote and who allow Republicans to run their state. As soon as California got a Dem governor who had some sense he raised taxes and balanced the budgets. You can’t cut taxes for the wealthy and balance a budget on the backs of the middle class and poor. If a candidate for governor, mayor or president says he wants to cut taxes it aint for the middle class or poor. It’s for their friends and corporations.

      • June 26, 2014 at 12:29 am

Yes, Gov. Snyder did a real con job on a lot of people (including many Democrats). The Democratic challenger in 2010 was very weak. Now I think we have person who is capable of winning if Dems will just get out and VOTE.

Fraud charges against Barclays in the United States have been announced by New York state prosecutors.

A lawsuit alleges that the bank falsified documents and misrepresented systems in place to protect certain investors from aggressive trading.

It relates to the bank’s “dark pool” trading operations, which allow clients to trade large blocks of shares while keeping prices more private.

Barclays said it was taking the allegations “very seriously”.

Prosecutors said Barclays misrepresented the kinds of investors that were using the dark pool.

Love President Peres and President Barack Obama standing before the world showing what two beautiful peaceful spirits can do and how to show respect for each other. I really do believe in my heart that President Peres loves our President as a very dear son as well. They have always given me such hope in what can happen still. I truly love seeing them together.

Goodnight my Chips and TOD family. Bobfr, thanks for your continued dedication in doing all of the beautiful work in keeping the issues going on twitter. And a big thank you to our Nerdy and JO’B. We are a family here that is one of a kind. Well, we would have to be because we elected a President that is one of a kind and our Chips who gave us this beautiful place which is one of a kind. What a beautiful family, TODers. I love you all so very much. You give me hope and joy. We will make this happen.

Rest while on your vacations, relax with your family and friends, and come back ready to get to the pounding even more. Trust President Obama. He will not mislead us. Pray for him and keep him in your meditation quiet time. He and VPBiden need that from us as well. He is a very strong man to his core and he will not leave that beautiful core of his.

We give him strength, so we must keep our spirits strong. When one of our TOD family members is feeling a little down; then those who are feeling a little stronger, be here for them. {{{{{{{{{{{{ We love you, our beautiful Chips}}}}}}}}}}}}}}HZ

      A Snip from that article:

“Biden says that during the transition, he was warned not to expect any cooperation on many votes. “I spoke to seven different Republican Senators, who said, `Joe, I’m not going to be able to help you on anything,’ he recalls. His informants said McConnell had demanded unified resistance. “The way it was characterized to me was: `For the next two years, we can’t let you succeed in anything. That’s our ticket to coming back,’” Biden says.”

“The vice president says he hasn’t even told Obama who his sources were, but Bob Bennett of Utah and Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania both confirmed they had conversations with Biden along these lines.”

I have been tweeting this article out to all of the black syndicated radio host as well as black leaders this morning. We had better start paying attention to the things that really matter. This is the Republican agenda right here. They couldn’t beat him at the polls so now its about tarnishing his legacy.
