You are the best. I need to tell how much I adore you and your hard work keeping me totally sane.
You know if I had not found you I would be painting flowers while drooling, dribbling and trying to sell it as art on the streets of NYC.
Instead I am walking, breathing life in Central Park. Adoring every day that my eyes open knowing that the Commander-In-Chief is President Barack Obama!
I can walk by the tabloids and don’t get discourage anymore. I used to forget what I came into the store for and grab a bag of Oreos and eat the whole bag before I got home because of how fearful and terrified the MSM had my mind in turmoil.
But then came HOPE…..TOD……PEACE.
Thank you, my friend.
Congrats on First LDS!!
Thank you, Donna.
I see those beautiful girls are growing so fast.
They are so beautiful!
Just enjoy every second because they will be going to college by next week. LOL!
Congrats on 1st LDS!!!
Thank you, Mr. Bonfr!
I wait patiently for every one of your miraculously tweets. I know you must be a teacher in your own right.
I would have loved to sat in your classroom. to took me years to learn there are no bad students if you have a teacher who enjoys what they are doing. Along with what is being taught at home.
I loved what FLOTUS said earlier last week about if students do not continue to learn during the summer months, you will lose three months of what you learned during the year.(paraphrase, of course)
I shared that with my teenager as she kept texting. I do believe she did not hear a word I said. So I text her…..
LDS, I used to not be in favor of year round school, but I have change my mind concerning that. I think it is a good idea. What did your teenager say to your text?
Sorry Anniebella, I have been gone most of the day and just got back home.
She just text LOL!
Translation: Too much to read. Do not write a book when you text. Or in their lingo…..TMI(too much information)
I notice that PBO is wearing lighter colors this summer. He looks handsome in everything but he’s looking especially handsome this summer.
Hearty agreement, Donna. I love the light suits!
And his tie matches the curtains! :D I do like the lighter look.
This is probably a little clearer than the one I posted on last thread.

A most excellent point, Japa.
Yup! how so very fickle
*sighs* I´m a teacher, can I join pretty please?
Feel free to join me here.
The view is real nice at the top. I can see clearly now.
Too hot to walk this morning so I am making iced tea to share with my elderly neighbors.
I will probably take a nice long walk after the sin goes down along the Hudson River.
The view is so beautiful at night with the skyline of the GW Bridge(the NY side)
Chris Christie is not in jail yet…..so I try to stay away from NJ unless I absolutely must go there.
Thank you for ALL of the wonderful posts that it is taking me days to catch up on. I do mean days!
As I continue to lurk and enjoy it, I purpose to keep ALL of you in my prayers along with our First Family.
Time to make the sweet tea……(if you are from the South you know what I mean)
LDS, congrats on First!
And send me a glass of that sweet tea – yummmm!!! (I know what you mean)!!!
GGail, I sure I could , Honey!
You know a little “sweet tea” does wonders on a hot, sticky, humid day.
Please don’t forget your fan.
I am making lemonade tonight with fresh mint.
My friend has a terrace on the 26th floor. What a view at nigh!
^^^wish I could,^^^^
It’s 91 degrees F right now here in Pasadena. The sweet tea and the punch from df will keep me cool while at work :-) Thanks!

 I thought I had done some terrible thing….
Larry and Linda Drain were happily married for more than 33 years. The only reason they’re now living apart is because they have no other way to ensure that Linda can get the medical care she needs for her epilepsy — thanks to their lawmakers’ decision to resist implementing Obamacare.
Family Values my dying ass.
So Linda has gone to desperate lengths to remain eligible for TennCare. She split from her husband to avoid hitting the monthly household income limit and sometimes stays in a homeless shelter in Knoxville. Meanwhile, Larry continues to live in the apartment that they once shared together. The couple doesn’t see each other every day anymore, and they miss each other’s company. “A thousand little things have been ripped away from us. Little things that people do,” Larry told the Tennessean.
A little over a month ago, Larry started writing a letter to Gov. Bill Haslam (R) every single day, imploring him to consider his wife’s situation and agree to expand Medicaid. He posts all the letters on his blog. He’s up to 44 letters by now, but he hasn’t yet received a response from the governor’s office. Now that the Tennessean has covered his story, Larry is hoping that Haslam may agree to meet.
“I want to sit down in a room with you. I want to be worth 15 or 20 minutes. That is it,” Larry explained in the letter he wrote on July 5th. “I want to know that you consider an ordinary voice important. It doesn’t seem like such a big deal.”
I think we need to make this go viral and shame these Republican govs that have not allowed Medicaid expansion in their states….this is more than shameful!
Oh I do agree with you df.
This is a crying shame!
Please, all you who tweet……..tweet the h— out of this. Thanks!
Boehner has been tweeting this story but of course blaming ObamaCare and not the Republican governor who is responsible.
Here is our Governors twitter handle is anyone wants to tweet him…@BillHaslam.

Good afternoon everyone…..so glad to see all of you. As I explained last week, I was busy with family over the weekend. We had a great time. Son and family arrived Thursday evening, and we all celebrated the Fourth. They went to the local park for the festival. This was our son’s childhood fourth, and he brings his family back at least every other year for it. It’s homey, with good stands and rides, and a good parade, and as he said: FREE parking. Coming from Dallas he was prepared for $10 parking, and couldn’t believe free. We had dinner Friday evening at my daughter’s house …..with her husband’s family and all of ours. Our son in law is the supreme griller! An aunt makes wonderful pies…we all contribute and eat and talk and laugh. A good day.
They’re home now, and hubby and I are relaxing. We enjoy just sitting in the living room, having lunch, and talking. Our house is amazingly cool now. We had new insulation blown into our attic two weeks ago, and the difference is amazing. We became part of an energy conservation program sponsored by out state energy department and electric company. The state department of energy paid for about one third of the cost of the installation, and the electric company gave us a $500 rebate about five days after the installation. The difference is noticeable. The kitchen now is not hot in the afternoon. The young installer said there was only about 4″ in that part of the house previously, and it is not on the west side, so afternoon sun didn’t hit it. The entire house is now sealed from leaks, and insulated up to code. Our bills are also going down.
Those of you struggling with air conditioning might check to see if your state has a similar program and if your electric company is offering incentives.
Love all the information on this page. Thank you to all who contribute so much, and to Chips for organizing all of us so well.
Sounds like a wonderful holiday weekend, and a much needed and appreciated rest!
The insulation is a great idea.

Go ahead….split GOP vote. The RWNJ are all about “if I can’t have it no one will”.
The Joke of The Day
Two men were walking through the woods and came upon a big black, deep hole. One man picked up a rock and tossed it into the hole and stood listening for the rock to hit bottom. There was no sound.
He turned to the other guy and said “that must be a deep hole…let’s throw a bigger rock in there and listen for it to hit bottom.” The men found a bigger rock and both picked it up and lugged it to the hole and dropped it in.
They listened for some time and never heard a sound. Again, they agreed that this must be one deep hole and maybe they should throw something even bigger into it.
One man spotted a rail-road tie nearby. They picked up the tie, grunting and groaning, and lugged it to the hole. They tossed it in. No sound. All of a sudden, a goat came flying out of the woods, running like the wind, and flew past the men and jumped straight into the hole. The men were amazed.
About that time, an old hayseed farmer came out of the woods and asked the men if they had seen a goat. One man told the farmer of the incredible incident they had just witnessed…they had just seen this goat fly out of the woods and run and leap into the big hole. The man asked the farmer if this could have been his goat.
The old farmer said “naw, that can’t be my goat…he was chained to a railroad tie.”
Well Mr. Farmer, he IS… ROTFLMAO!!! :)
Hey sailor welcome back. I missed ya!
Thanks donna. I’m glad to be missed too. Especially when I can be on this side of the grass to appreciate it. ;)
Amen brother Amen!!!!

Good for the Justice Dept. Good Luck.
Imagine that a Republican president produced 45 straight months of job growth coming off the worst financial crisis since the Depression. Lord, we’d never hear the end of it.
That’s how they are, and nothing’s going to change them. The important question now, as I said up top, is whether we’re really turning the psychic corner. Corporations have been hoarding record profits, banks still aren’t lending they way they should be, businesses have been skittish about large-scale hiring. It’s a big game of economic chicken, and it certainly has a political element. Most of these corporate titans and bankers and business leaders are Republicans. I don’t think most of them would intentionally hold the economy back because they don’t like the president, but I do think they take their cues from elected Republicans more than from Obama. When the Republicans stand up and say repeatedly that the president’s policies are failing, failing, failing, these private-sector titans hear them, and it influences what they do.
It may be that we’re finally working our way through all that. Happy days aren’t yet here again, but, once again, Democrats, the alleged socialists, are saving capitalism from the supposed lovers of capitalism who almost destroyed it.

Good Afternoon Everyone.
My cousin Sue was installed as the first African American president of the Clarksville, IN Rotary Club. This an excerpt from an email she sent me:
“It will be an interesting year. 3 males have said they are not renewing their membership and I am sure a 4th one will throw in his resignation, but have heard nothing from him.
Clarksville, when I was growing up, had no African-Americans citizens. The city wants to hold on to its old ways.”
Wow Dakota. Good for her for getting installed but it sounds like Clarksville still has a very long way to go…
That they do, Donna.
Clarksville and Jeffersonville, IN, where my cousin resides, are right next to each other and just across the Ohio River from Louisville, KY. Her brother told me how back in the day, they would ride the bus one mile over the bridge to Louisville and time they would hit Kentucky, they would have to move to the back of the bus.
Dakota, congratulations to your cousin!
I hope that those open memberships get filled with diverse people in the community. I wish her all the best!
Thanks Gail. I’m certain they will. African American and female. I bet those “good ‘ol boys were just about ready to jump into the Ohio River!
Congratulations to your sister. She’ll make it through the challenges…I’m sure of it :)
Why are men so afraid of EVERYTHING and EVERYONE different from themselves. This country is certainly not “the home of the brave”.

Hope you all have a fabulous 4th. Stayed away for the most part…busy with family…
Just catching up with the news…and find it disturbing and hury by the display of racism in Norfolk, Nebraska.
I don’t now if this petition will make a bit of difference…but I believe that the more people make their voices heard, next time they try to pull this racist stun, it will give them pause…..not because they care, but it will affect tourism..reputation and so on..
Thank you so much for helping sign this petition.

Have a wonderful Day TODS….thanks for all that you do…(much love))
Here’s some example of letters being signed..
Our President Deserves Respect.
This is the President of all the people, whether you like it or not. He has been elected TWICE. This despicable display of racism makes our country look worse than a third world country. It is with GREAT reluctance I add a photo of this display of ignorance.
Mayor Sue Fuchtman
In my opinion, you owe decent citizens of the U.S. an apology for allowing such a despicable float in your Fourth of July Parade. Is this how you want people to remember your town?
Thank you Kasai for posting this. I signed the petition but I won’t hold my breathe. I can’t believe that this type of racist display is considered patriotic. No wonder the rest of world thinks the USA has lost their mind over the majority of people voting for an Black president as though the SCOTUS put him there.
Thanks Kasai for posting the link. I signed the petition.

Down Is Up As The White House Uses Conservatives Quoting Obama To Debunk Boehner Lawsuit politicususa.com/2014/07/07/whi… via @politicususa— Donna NoShock (@NoShock) July 07, 2014
Good day everyone! I just read through today’s posts and comments all in one read. As usual, a powerful reporting of President Obama’s accomplishments. I feel in touch with his daily life when I come here and appreciate all of you very much.
I read a lot of comments about Hillary and want to say something about my thinking. I don’t want to push against any of you, not in any way, but just to give you my perspective to add to the conversation. I am laser focused on 2014: getting Democrats elected, winning back the House, keeping our Dem majority in the Senate and giving President Obama a Congress he can work with and I view everything from that perspective. In 2008 I was for Hillary before I knew about Senator Obama. The minute I found out about him, read his inspiring words and heard him speak I knew he was the one I wanted for President. I am happier with him each and every day.
What I am aware of is that the GOP and the GOP media will do anything and everything to run Hillary down in the minds of Democrats. They want to create rifts in the Democratic Party just like the GOP with establishment/Tea Party. I’m not buying the meme’s. I don’t know what she thinks about POTUS and don’t care. I care about POTUS. I sincerely doubt President Obama cares about her and it’s certainly not stopping him. She’s said she’s going to work for women candidates in the Midterms and I welcome her doing it. I think she will be effective for them and I WANT Allison Grimes to beat McConnell’s butt in KY-Sen. There are wonderful women running as reps, senate candidates, and state offices. I picture in my mind Boehner handing the gavel over to Speaker Pelosi and I can’t wait to watch it live! It would be to our detriment to make her go away. Right now we have midterms to win.
As far as 2016, I want POTUS 45 to be a Democrat. There will be more Republican governors up for reelection then, all the Representatives are up for reelection every two years, and there will be more GOP Senators than Dems up for reelection then. After we win back Congress in the midterms we will be able to focus on more and better Democrats at all levels of government in 2016. If Hillary is the nominee of the Democratic party I would vote for her. I will certainly work for Democrats, but as long as Barack Hussein Obama is President, that’s where my focus is. He wants a Congress he can work with and I want to see him have it. I think it will be magnificent. I think Hillary will be a big asset with women candidates now. Women are already working together, Sen. Warren campaigning for Allison Grimes and more like that. This is an incredibly powerful time. All I’m saying is take the articles about Hillary with a grain of salt. President Obama is our north star and I’m facing north.
“All I’m saying is take the articles about Hillary with a grain of salt. President Obama is our north star and I’m facing north.”
You and I are probably in the minority here but I’ll go out on a limb and state that I’m giving you a standing ovation for this comment.
Yes WE MUST
…. that’s my focus ….
I like your hashtags, Bob. I feel absolutely passionate about taking back Congress. I’d love to hand it to POTUS wrapped up in a big bow and say, “I love you and believe in you. This is for you.”
Get that bow and note ready, TME!!! We’ll be using it on 5 Nov 2014 :)
I’m clapping right along side you Donna. Thanks TME.
“President Obama is our north star and I’m facing north”
Me too. 2014 and the President’s next 2 1/2 years is my focus.
Thanks Donna. I remember watching Republicans on TV in 2008 just itching for Hillary to be the nominee. They had all kinds of ammo they were going to use against her. And now they have Benghazi! I’m not believing any magical thinking someone has about what she’s doing or thinking. Never concerned about “unnamed sources” regarding anyone. That’s a useless quote to me and we’ve seen that used against POTUS so many times. I’m not going to buy into splitting the party. I’ll apply the same standard I do to President Obama. If he says it then I’ll believe he said it. That’s all. I’ll take Hillary at her word and go from there. It’s much easier on my nerves that way. I’m also savoring every minute of his presidency and basically I don’t pay attention to anything about Hillary unless it relates to helping with the midterms. I just wanted to say that the GOPers have a strategy of lying and scheming and we know the MSM parrots them so that’s why the salt is good to sprinkle on anything they say.
Well I’ve never been a Hillary supporter so I wouldn’t begin to say that I understand her intentions and honestly I really don’t care but what I do know is that I see the media treating her the exact same way they treat PBO. They know there is angst toward her by Obama supporters (they read the tweets and blog comments) so they use “magic dust” to create a scenario and voila they have her distancing herself from PBO. That article posted here earlier today was pure garbage. The author even says and I quote “Clinton hasn’t repudiated Obama, who made her secretary of state in his first term, and comments aimed at highlighting her differences with Obama are often implied rather than stated bluntly. But in tone and substance.” So they have no real quotes or actual talking points on her part but he’ll just imply it because that’s what our lazy, sloppy, good-for-nothing media is good at. PBO states all the time that people are still hurting and there is more that needs to be done but he wants us to believe that if she implies it well it become a distance thing.
When we get our candidates for the Presidency in 2016 then I’ll take it to Hillary but I’ll not play this game with the media here in 2014. We have too much work to do to get PBO a working Congress for the next 2 years.
Sounds like the chooktood school of ‘journalistic interpretation’, which one only graduates from if one is extremely psychic, and therefore qualified to speak for others.
“President Obama is our north star and I’m facing north”
Perfection, TME …..

It’s so unfair that these people are being treated this way.
We have just as many people coming into our Country from Asian lands, but we will not hear about them. Why? Because they are not coming by foot across desert lands. They are coming via airplane. Check out the enrollment of our schools in the San Gabriel Valley, in Westwood, in Koreatown. Some of them surfaced during the Dream Act movement, but have since gone silent regarding immigration.
