I am sure you have seen the disgusting 4th of July “float” in Norfolk, NE depicting President Obama’s Presidential Library as an outhouse. I have written a letter to the editor of their local newspaper and want to share the address in case others would also like to flood his mailroom! Norfolk Daily News P.O. Box 977 Norfolk, NE 68701 Thank you Date: Tue, 8 Jul 2014 02:48:32 +0000 To: ksgashog@hotmail.com

Good evening TOD family. Back from a wonderful weekend in the wilds of Montana. At this campground we did have some cell service so I was able to follow some of TOD. You all are so wonderful at bringing all the news to this place. Chips and Nerdy Wonka are the best bt’s. zizi2’s article was so great. Perfect for the 4th and all that has happened this last week. I do have great faith in this President, it is all the other Dem’s I worry about. The Corporations have such control. But all of us ordinary people will vote this fall and take back this country as the right is so fond of saying.

Thanks Jim and Barb Pine for the address I will be writing a letter.

I turned 18 in 1972, the first year that the voting age was lowered from 21 (despite the fact that huge numbers of 18-20 year-olds were dying and being maimed in Vietnam.

I turned 19 in 1973 when the Roe v Wade decision upheld a woman’s right to choose.

Back then, free clinics were readily available in Southern California, so birth control, etc., was available to young, impoverished (e.g., students) women.

If I were transported from that time to now, I would have believed the time machine was broken.

I was motivated to vote at 18 because I was adamantly against the Vietnam war.

Except for women whose role model is Joyce Dugger (I think that’s her name) and thinks having 20 children is a good idea (let’s ask some of the children how much attention and “quality time” they get), SCOTUS decision is a call to arms (i.e., voting booth) for all women of childbearing age, and for those who remember what it was like to be fertile and sexually active.

But this is not a “woman’s issue.” It’s a quality of life issue for everyone that should motivate every non-hypocrite in America to VOTE this November.

“It’s a quality of life issue for everyone that should motivate every non-hypocrite in America to VOTE this November.” Exactly.

While America was lulled by an inactive hurricane season last year, the same can’t be said of the Pacific islands typhoon season.

The only good thing about Typhoon Neoguri (wind gusts of up to 155 MPH) is that its path won’t impact the most populous Japanese island (Honshu, where Tokyo, Kyoto and Kobe are located):

I know it’s past midnight on the east coast, so few will see these tweets, but here’s a couple of headlines from @latimes:

This is so sad. Last month when my car was in for repairs, I rode the bus every weekday. One of the routes stopped at a park that was staffed by some mentally disabled young men, and they lit up when the bus arrived, they were so happy to see the bus and the bus driver. They excitedly shouted dear greetings to the bus driver. Such joy and sweetness personified.

9.7 million private sector jobs created.
Over 8 million people signed up for health care thanks to the Affordable Care Act.

He hasn’t started a single war.
Hasn’t tried to confiscate a single gun.
