Did you take your walk 99ts? I am watching out for you – YOU CAN DO IT! : )
I may stop talking to you if you keep this up! 1st or not 1st!
YES!!! It’s working – the conscious can be a ‘BEAUTIFUL” thing : )
Good Morning Cindy! Congrats on being the earliest Early Bird. :-)

THANK YOU MUCH – ENJOY!
Good morning Chipsticks, Dannystix and TOD Family,

Congrats on being 1st through the gate, and have a great Friday!
Good morning vcprezofan2,
Wishing you a SPLENDID DAY-ENJOY!

Morning Cindy, morning everyone!
Danny chased a fox?
He did 57, my heart is only back to its regular beat now :-(
Did he engage the fox?
No, thank heavens! But he nearly caught him – at which point I would have passed out!
I freak out when Nickelby gets a bird. Thank God for Mr. 57. A fox? I’d totally lose it.
I told him I’m keeping him locked in the garden forever, which he felt was unreasonable.
#TYRANT. All he wanted to do was get to know his long lost brother.
Looked to me like he wanted to eat his long lost brother :???:
you always attribute bad motives to his noble deeds.
You talking about Danny or yerself?
:-) Bet you eat socks too.
Hey now ! don’t go talking about wifey unit’s cooking skills.
 You’re evuuuul.
I’d barely let him out of the house. Which is a whole lot easier when your dogs weigh 8-18 pounds.
Cindy – nice to see you in first place. Doesn’t that baby have awesome hair?
Judith, I wonder did the hair fall flat after PBO took away his hand? :-)
THANK YOU Judith and HAPPY BEAUTIFUL FRIDAY TO YOU!!!
Good Friday Chipsticks…TODers!!!
Everyone have a FANTASTIC day. :-)
Morning Chips. Hope the sun shines on you and you have a terrific day. I’m glad our president is safely back with his family. Hope he saved some barbeque for them.

Thanks and you too! :)
HAPPY WONDERFUL FRIDAY TO YOU – ENJOY!!!
A friend of mine has been tutoring a 35 year old man from Latin American for his naturalization exam for over a year now. He came to the US at18, got his green card, learned English, got a job delivering pizza and has dreamed of the day when he could become a citizen.. Well, this week they went together to Philadelphia naturalization center and her student not only aced the exam, he got 100 percent! He was so ecstatic he asked if he could hug the examiner. In one month, he will be called back for his final oath of allegiance. Despite all the ugly stuff the GOP tries to stir up, stories like these make me very proud of this country.
Beautiful story, JackieG.
What made him decide on PA to live?
It’s a beautiful state, one of my favs, just curious.
I’ll ask my friend that very question. It’s a good one.
What a great story. This is what we are really about. Your friend is a very special person. Please tell her thanks for all of us.
Are senate Dems really against the President?
Obama, Senate Democrats clash over how to handle border crisis j.mp/1tuA2pJ by @alexanderbolton— The Hill (@thehill) July 11, 2014
I generally ignore these kinds of articles from the Hill. They put out a lot of garbage about PBO and the Dems in order to deflect attention away from the REAL source of the problem – the HOUSE GOP. I’ve noticed that pattern for a long, long time.
I’ve noticed a slant too, but they quote democrats in article.
I never thought this president had much support from any congress member, bc he doesn’t party with them. Seriously!
How many Democrats have they quoted? 1? 2? Anything less than five is not a basis for this article/headline.
I heard Lindsey graham call for funding of the border. Suddenly it’s a bi partisan agreement?
The t baggers ain’t going to allow any funding.
It’s reality of congress.
Yep. President Obama hasn’t done enough of the “schmoozing” that’s apparently necessary to make them happy. ANother factor at play may be old grudges dating back to the 2008 primaries… Some allies of Hillary and Bill have never given Barack Obama the benefit of the doubt. They’re always quick to question him, and criticize him in front of journalists.
That being said, what Hopefruit2 says makes sense. Journalists can easily find one or two democrats who disagree. You can’t generalize to the whole caucus. Journalists and pundits always generalize to create controversy. That is intellectually fraudulent.
PBO never really played “The Good Old Boys” games while he was in the Senate or even before. He is political, but does not schmooze or mess around. He is into getting things done cuz it is the right thing to do.
This report is at odds with the one reported yesterday and today by CBS radio news, which said a bi-partisan agreement is being worked out. Apparently the GOP are looking for assurance that these refugees are deported immediately.
Unfortunately no bi partisan agreement. The T baggers in the house veto everything.
That’s a fact.
Maybe some in senate like graham calls for funding, but not the t baggers in house.
It’s been that way since 2010.
This was from yesterday, but as soon as I saw it just now I thought of DannyO, Chips, and the fox, and I could picture all three needing to cool down after their mad dash. Chips, with DannyO’s help you’ll soon be a couple of sizes smaller than you were when he arrived. Can you afford to lose that much?

Florida judge rules Republicans illegally redrew congressional districts, making a 'mockery' of the process
latimes.com/nation/politic…— Arapaho415 (@arapaho415) July 11, 2014
From the article:
In a scathing opinion, Leon County Circuit Judge Terry P. Lewis ruled in Tallahassee that the Legislature’s Republican political consultants had “made a mockery” of the redistricting process, tainting it with “partisan intent.”
Lewis said that the districts, drawn by the Republican-controlled Legislature after the 2010 census, flouted voter-passed constitutional amendments intended to eliminate gerrymandering – that is, often-bizarre and irregular lines that make a district safe for one party or the other.
Morning Arapaho415 and HAPPY FRIDAY to you!
Thank you for posting, this is better news than waiting for LeBron James to decide if he will stay with our Miami Heat team.
The sports world is on hold for one man…….
Happy Friday to you, Cindy (no longer Ycin?).
My twitter timeline was filled with LeBron tweets back when he got an hour (!) of air time to announce he was taking his talents to Miami.
I don’t follow basketball, but I hope he goes back to Cleveland and gives back to the community and becomes a role model for Buckeye youth (sorry, Cindy, I know you’re a Floridian). LeBron is someone who could make a difference with so many young people, and his ties are with Ohio. Hoping he follows Magic Johnson’s footsteps in supporting businesses in neglected areas.
Computer ate up my sign in passwords and everything – Ycin was invented. Out of no where, I was answering a post and my old sign in popped up. I am technologically challenged; can’t begin to explain what happened : )
I felt like LeBron was very disappointed with losing. In several of his interviews, he expressed that he felt like he was the only one wanting a championship. I felt like some discord was definitely going on.
I am sure that he will support the young people and go on to do great things. I am not a basketball fan per se, my take about life in general, do what you have to do if you’re going to be happy doing it.
If he leaves, I wish the best for him and his family. Every organization has to build a team, one person can not do it by themselves, the “team” has to work hard. If he leaves, they have to rebuild and find the great players.
Magic Johnson became an astute businessman and he has helped so many people. That’s what living is really all about; what can I do to reach back and help someone live a better life and achieve their goals? Living is not about the “me” but about helping someone else.

[PBO = president with North Star policies! Here are a couple of long game strategies highlighted by Smartypants - ]
President Obama plays tortoise to the media’s hare. And we know who wins that one!
I’ve often thought that the best metaphor for the Obama presidency is the fable about the tortoise and the hare. Of course – in the role of the hare is our linkbait-obsessed media that runs from one form of hysteria to another in a constant quest for “Obama’s Katrina,” only to tire almost immediately before the story’s conclusion. The role of the tortoise is played by our President, who is always focused on the long game (“slow and steady wins the race”). As FLOTUS once said:
Here’s the thing about my husband: even in the toughest moments, when it seems like all is lost, Barack Obama never loses sight of the end goal. He never lets himself get distracted by the chatter and the noise, even if it comes from some of his best supporters. He just keeps moving forward.
And in those moments when we’re all sweating it, when we’re worried that the bill won’t pass or the negotiation will fall through, Barack always reminds me that we’re playing a long game here. He reminds me that change is slow — it doesn’t happen overnight.
As we approach the finish line, we can begin to see who is going to reach the tape first. Here are some recent “long game” headlines:
Thank yoooooou VC! Nerdy’s doing R&S this morning, so hopefully she’ll see it.
How are your legs this morning? (No, I’m not being risqué.)
Good Morning, Everyone :)
Good morning rikyrah,
HAPPY FRIDAY TO YOU!

I know ! But democrats have problems too.
We are starting the ground game here in florida in late September.
Only OFA has not been active. Strange.
Jovie, OFA is now a 501-c-4 and not allowed under those rules to participate in partisan campaigns. They are working on issues and in fact, ramping down activity until after the election so we volunteers can take OFF our OFA hats and go volunteer as individuals for candidates. I’ll be helping Senator Merkley’s re-election campaign. It’s very different from the ’08 and ’12 OFA campaigns.

Also remember how that picture became one of the biggest jokes and travesties of his term. Maybe a short term positive, but after a month, people knew that was a lie. Part of his downfall later, I think.
Happy Friday Carolyn,
I am so convinced that the main reason, the repukes and MSM want a picture of President Obama at the border, is to place it next to Bush “real” Katrina moment (Bush in plane looking down on those who were suffering), and run with some eye catching headline;
Bush/Obama Katrina moment and they both did nothing.
Of course they would photoshop the picture by inserting crying babies and mothers at the border with the President standing there.
They want to redeem Bush by comparing the President to him; hoping that a picture of President Obama at the border would destroy him.
“AIN’T GONNA HAPPEN” and they are losing their minds because they can’t manipulate him to do it.
“They want to redeem Bush”… THIS.
There’s no question that republicans are never able to deal with not being in power. The minute a democrat ascends to the Oval Office, they begin the campaign to destroy him. Democrats, who are more mature politically, and are not authoritarians, don’t do the same.
But in the case of Barack Obama, we’ve seen the resentment and the hate reach new levels. Race is a factor of course. But another one is that republicans have been SO HUMILIATED by the Bush presidency, they want Bush’s successor to be humiliated to. To leave office with approval numbers as low as Bush’s numbers were. Just so they can comfort themselves in the fact that it’s not just republican presidents who can be rejected by the population.
I’ll go further. I wonder if unconsciously, the pundit class wants the same thing. Let me explain…
They’re so obsessed by the political game, they seem to be totally uninterested by policies and their effects on the american people. They have big salaries and don’t need any help; they absolutely don’t CARE about what happens to people. So the fact that Barack Obama is working to help people DOESN’T IMPRESS them at all. The fact that Barack Obama is working to repair the damage of the Bush years DOESN’T IMPRESS them at all. Since they don’t care, the integrity, empathy, hard work of this president doesn’t generate in them positive sentiments. They judge him, SOLELY, on the way he plays the political game and on the way he interacts with them, the “media stars”. They would like him if he was friendly towards them, if he flattered their egos, if he made them feel important.
So the media class doesn’t like the president. And since they want interesting “narratives”, since they’re entertained by watching a politician’s numbers go up and down, I can’t help feel that deep down inside, they wish they’ll be able to tell the story of a rock-star politician who ascended to the Presidency after an historical, exciting campaign… but left office with as low approval numbers as his republican predecessor.
(And of course, let’s not forget JEALOUSY. They don’t want to feel inferior to this very brilliant president who is , on top of everything, a better WRITER than all of them.)
You nailed it Lovepolitics2008,
The other side to this ugliness, the raw side of this hate; truth be told – to have a “black man” running this country has rocked their world.
What they are operating from, is the premise of; “Let’s put this N______ in his place.” Nothing else would spew this kind of hatred, than an African American rising to the “TOP.” That is why we have continually heard the words; uppity, arrogant, who does he think he is, cocky etc.
Their behavior reminds me of the scene from Malcolm X, when Malcolm and the people were waiting outside of the hospital, after the police had beaten a black man. When they received word that he was going to live, the Police Chief said; this is too much power for one man to have.
They lost their ruling power to President Obama – so sue him to put him in his place. HA!
amk for obama, it’s HAPPY FRIDAY, see : ) HAPPY DAY!

Excuse me, who is this loudmouth backstabbing Texas Democratic congressman named Henry somethingorother…Did he forget to which party he got elected to represent?…
He endorsed GWB and then was Perry’s Secretary of State before he won his seat.
The media has not mentioned that……, He is getting his 15 minutes of flame.
Happy Friday kathryn kivett,
Henry Cuellar has been crisscrossing the networks for 2 weeks now, stating that President Obama is detached and should be at the border. He is trying to make a name for himself IMHO; most popular way to that these days, is to bash the President over the border’s photo op that they are pushing for.
Happy Friday right back at you…..oh, so he is a DINO….Watching interview with Baptist Minister in Texas…was at meeting with Perry, PBO…….His point….How can we treat these children in a humane way, in a Godly way….can’t solve problem of borders but need to make sure the children are treated with respect and kindness……….boy could a lot of people take lessons from him.
