Talk about the dumbing down of America. Read this and, am numb with astonishment that people can be so freaking stupid. Stupid. Stupid.. Where is their humanity? After a busy week with brother visiting, just had a text that he arrived safely home after a 13 hour drive today, through sweltering heat in many places. So now I can go to bed, in exhaustion! Big hugs all around! Sweets dreams all, itās very nice to be back. <3
Night all. Going to TRY and set my alarm to get up at the crack of dawn so I can get some yard work done…you know, before it turns stupid hot and I give up and pass out inside. Thanks for all the goodies:)
If anyone on this planet has earned a moment to stop for a beer, it is this amazing and incredible SOS Kerry. He is surely working as hard as PBO to accomplish so much each and every day! God Bless him! (ok, now Iām gone.)
Just today he accomplished something of profound importance for the future of Afghanistan and the whole effort to bring peace and well being to that country by finding an agreement between the two candidates for president there. The country was on the verge of a civil war over this election. Now they are going audit every single vote with independent observers to guarantee that the vote is legitimate. That is huge!
Meantime John Kerry is working hard on other fronts, bringing a nuclear accord with Iran, a cease fire in Gaza, and preparing for a NATO conference in Europe. That man is incredible.
Yes it is huge. I was heartened to see this agreement brokered by SOS Kerry was the main headline on the NY Times this morning. At some point the media HAS to take notice - you can only bury this critical developments for so long. I look forward to the the nuclear deal with Iran.
āIt was just a lucky day to be the register girl,ā says Webb.
The entire restaurant, he says, was prepped in advance of Obamaās appearance, and Webb, who laments not being properly attired in his preferred sequin ensemble, knew he had to make some kind of stand.

This site has done more for me than you will ever imagine (all blessings to BWD for directing me here). Iāve spent more time doing the things that make me happy.
Yesterday I went to see, probably for the last time, a dear friend. Kermit is 94 and fading. His son had a pig roast and managed to get his dad to come. Kermit wasnāt too sure who I was, but he lit up when I told him my partner (big strappinā country boy who used to farm with Kermit) had come, too. The joy on his face when he spotted my partner was absolutely priceless.
This guy was one of the soldiers who helped liberate the camps during WWII. He told me a story once a long time ago about what he saw and Iām typing through tears remembering what his face looked like.
I was in Berlin in ā69. I passed through the Berlin Wall and saw the devastation that still existed on the east side.
I know this comment may seem a bit disjointed. I guess Iām just trying to say that the childish craPPPP we see today, the sandbox tripe, the luntz lies, the pathetic crybaby antics are so much garbage.
REAL America is reflected in the fading eyes of a five foot four 120 pound man who saw the true horror our species is capable of and the joy he can still have seeing an old friend.
Thank you Lynn, it is both validating and refreshing to know that joy outweighs the horror we can be exposed to in life. Please keep the faith - and be blessed.
Thank you for reading it, Paulita. That little bit of joy in Kermitās eyes has me in tears even now. I plan on carrying it with me always and sharing it when I can.
Good Sunday morning (west coast) or afternoon for you my dear Lynn.
I am so grateful for you sharing Kermitās experiences with us. Men like Kermit who fought the last real war for freedom & the liberation from an evil dictator. My uncle who passed in 2005 would be Kermitās age and I remember him taking me to see the movie Reds in the theater. He walked out saying he lived through that war and it was hard to sit through it again on the big screen.
I am glad you had an opportunity to see him smile and be in his presence by presenting him with the company of you and your partner. Bless you and my God bless Kermit.
I hope one day I can catch you early enough here to be more timely on the same post.
Hello, JoJo! Thank you so much for your response. You understand the rage monster I have inside. I want so much to be like our President, but I donāt have the strength to blow off the uglies, I have been working with horses for over forty years and find time aroung them does give me some peace.
The look in Kermitās eyes when he saw my partner will last a lifetime. Iām crying now.
I have such a wonderful life. A roof (paid for) over my head that I can houseshare with others of limited means. A beautiful yard that looks like a park, a fab friend who is thrilled when I can help with the horses. Life is good.

I still find this hilarious….
There is a reason that itās the top watched “Between Two Ferns” skit. More watched than Justin Beiberās skit (over a shorter period of time).
YESSSS>….and his name is Barack Hussein Obama….Ummmmmpha!
