Bob, I sure would like to believe that this guy “Mooch” is really a childhood friend of Boehner’s and that Boehner gets to read this letter. Something needs to get through the drunkin fog that our Speaker walks in.

There were a lot of comments, but I didn’t think they would be supportive so I didn’t read them:D

Hello TOD! The week in Review is always the best.

With all the turmoil in the world, I watched this AM, The Picture of Dorian Gray from 1945. I have never seen it before today. It temporarily took the edge of. Then I went to GOOGLE and read some more about this story and the Movie. It was written in the late 1890s.

Only Angela Lansbury is still among Us…..

Yes, it’s off topic. Pardon me.

Now, their kids are leaving for US due to the hellish conditions in the 3 Central American Nations and they are looking for pres Obama to stem the flight of their younger citizens?

    What ‘am I missing here?

OMG. Really? Gee, President Obama, we know that you have a lot on your plate right now, what with the insane RWNJ’s and all the other ancillary things going on in the US and all over the world right now…but we’d like to ADD TO THAT LIST (Messiah!) and CAN YOU FIX OUR PROBLEMS TOO??? That’s some cajones right there. BFC.

that our POTUS has a brilliant mind and is forward thinking. He may have ideas they can leverage to help solve the problem.

I took it as a compliment.

Rand Paul Loves to attribute “sins” of one’s husband to one Ms. HRC. Hmm? Rand Paul gets put off is the same is done to him. His father raised him and his father is the LIFE of Rand’s political formative beliefs…..IMHO

Um,…..WTF is Kenya doing on that map?

Kenya is probably the ONLY country in that part of Africa that has never had a Civil war or a Coup.
Republicans have done such a masterful job of demonizing the word “Kenya” because of you-know-who in the White House that now people think the country is a mess and a flight risk?

      WTF??!!??!

Kenya had that Terror Bombings and Hostage crisis not long ago. The Bombings and Killing and the US Embassy over 14 yrs ago. Internal ethnic and political woes would be my guess.

If you’re referring to the US Embassy bombings of ’98, it was because they were targeting AMERICANS (even though 20 times as many Kenyans’ died as Americans in that attack) – the US Embassy in Dar-el-Salaam in Tanzania’s capital was also bombed in that attack.
So how come Tanzania is not on the list as a result?

As for the Mall- Hostage situation which recently happened, those terrorists were from a Somalian terrorist organization that sprung up from a result of US incursions into Mogadishu the 1990’s (the events from ‘Black Hawk Down’ movie).
So basically Kenya is paying the price for American presence there and their actions in the region (as well as for being the country from which the American president’s father comes from) in the form of actual blood and bad PR (generated by Americans ironically) from the results of these same actions.

And “Internal ethnic and political woes”??!?!?!?!
Point me to a country in Africa that doesn’t have those.
          Any country.
Except, like I said, in most other countries where those happen, it usually ends in Civil war and bloodshed spanning many generations.
Kenyans have never known a single day of Civil war. Not one.

As you can tell, I’m Kenyan; and it gets sickening being turned into some evil bad guys for nothing we ever did and when the greatest crime we ever committed was being the victims of other people’s actions and stupidity.
As much as I love the guy (and as much as he is loved by people, certainly from his father’s tribe back in Kenya), I sometimes think we would be better off if Obama didn’t have any roots or links to Kenya.
And by extension, maybe if we didn’t have any American presence there at all.

          It’s just not worth it.

In 2012, the “deficit” was a media/GOP-generated meme to frighten people into voting for Romney. And many stupid Americans fell for it, but not enough to get him elected.

Jim Wright, of Stontekettle Station fame, apparently is trolled by Limbaugh fans.

So he wrote this (and I couldn’t refrain to comment on it):
