      vs

DO NOTHING REPUBLICAN CONGRESS whining and complaining about border security and the influx of unaccompanied children while playing brinksmanship with the immigration supplemental. The burning question of the day is will they go on their 5 WEEK AUGUST vacation without giving President Obama the resources he requested to address the problem. Tick Tock Tick Tock …….

Love it too Chips, it’s perfect. All I can say is more of this please. And I wouldn’t mind seeing some Democrats on the tv machine making the same point over and over and over again until it breaks through the media firewall.

MARK MY WORDS…THIS PRESIDENT IS DOING MORE FOR THE SAFETY OF THESE CHILDREN THAN THE PRESIDENTS OF THEIR OWN COUNTRIES…IF THEIR STRUCTURE WEREN’T CORRUPTS…THE MASSIVE EXODUS WOULD NOT HAVE GONE THIS FAR FROM ANY OF THESE COUNTRIES…FOLLOW THE MONEY!….MONEY MAKES U-TURNS…

Totally thought I was going to be first. Guess I should have posted a comment before watching the whole West Wing Week!!

Economic Patriotism–yes please! The Republicans could certainly stand to learn what that means.

I think this is my second Obamacare tweet (the first was on Oct 1, 2013 when a customer at 7-11 boom loudly so everyone in the store could hear: It’s a great day, Obamacare starts today!):

  6. July 25, 2014 at 7:15 pm

Ms. Dudette, you have and always will be #1 to me.
This being first solidified it just right.
I cannot stop watching Rev. William Barber.
I have been on FB and Tweeter since this morning.
After visiting the Grand Canyon,I will be making a visit to N.C. for Moral Monday.
This had stirred up “higher grounds” in me.
    Congratulations for #1!

Don’t mind if I join you, my friend.
        Historically, he is spot on!
The game GOP has been running is running out.
Reminds me of the song ” Hunter Captured by the Game.”
        By Mary Wells,I believe.

Wow that song goes way back. Didn’t recognize that title at first, but as soon as the music started I remembered it. :-)

Years ago then-Senator Barack Obama acknowledged this problem. He didn’t have a simple solution though.

The bottom line is that our job is harder than the conservatives’ job. After all, it’s easy to articulate a belligerent foreign policy based solely on unilateral military action, a policy that sounds tough and acts dumb; it’s harder to craft a foreign policy that’s tough and smart.

    As Time Passes . . .

A group of 40 year-old buddies discuss where they should meet for dinner.

Finally it is agreed upon that they should meet at the Gasthof zum Lowen restaurant because the waitress’s there have low cut blouses and nice breasts.

10 years later, at 50 years of age, the group meets again and once again they discuss and discuss where they should meet. Finally it is agreed upon that they should meet at the Gasthof zum Lowen because the food there is very good and the wine selection is good also.

10 years later at 60 years of age, the group meets again and once again they discuss and discuss where they should meet. Finally it is agreed upon that they should meet at the Gasthof zum Lowen because they can eat there in peace and quiet and the restaurant is smoke free.

10 years later, at 70 years of age, the group meets again and once again they discuss and discuss where they should meet. Finally it is agreed upon that they should meet at the Gasthof zum Lowen because the restaurant is wheel chair accessible and they even have an elevator.

10 years later, at 80 years of age, the group meets again and once again they discuss and discuss where they should meet. Finally it is agreed upon that they should meet at the Gasthof zum Lowen because that would be a great idea because they have never been there before.

    Never change GOP, never change……..

In an intensely awkward congressional hearing of the House Foreign Affairs Committee on Thursday, freshman Rep. Curt Clawson misidentified two senior U.S. government officials as representatives of the Indian government. The two officials, Nisha Biswal and Arun Kumar, are Americans who hold senior positions at the State Department and Commerce Department, respectively. Although both Biswal and Kumar were introduced as U.S. officials by the chairman of the Asia and Pacific subcommittee, Clawson repeatedly asked them questions about “your country” and “your government,” in reference to the state of India.

“I’m familiar with your country; I love your country,” the Florida Republican said. “Anything I can do to make the relationship with India better, I’m willing and enthusiastic about doing so.” Apparently confused by their Indian surnames and skin color, Clawson also asked if “their” government could loosen restrictions on U.S. capital investments in India. “Just as your capital is welcome here to produce good-paying jobs in the U.S., I’d like our capital to be welcome there,” he said. “I ask cooperation and commitment and priority from your government in so doing. Can I have that?”
The question prompted a lengthy pause and looks of confusion from State Department and congressional staff attending the hearing. “I think your question is to the Indian government,” Biswal said. “We certainly share your sentiment, and we certainly will advocate that on behalf of the U.S.”

…”During the hearing, he repeatedly touted his deep knowledge of the Indian subcontinent and his favorite Bollywood movies”….continued

I read that on Mediaite and thought, how fatuously clueless was this Rep? The hearing had nothing to do with India. The man is ignorant and a bigot.

But rather, about USA’s relation to/with India. That means, the experts are American Gov’t Officials before this Committee.

      What an embarrassment!

When I was growing up they had us thinking to go to Congress we sent the cream of the crop. Nowadays the GOP sends in the fungus that grows under the barrel.

Nancy Pelosi Rips the Shameful GOP House For Adding Extra Days To Their Vacation

Pelosi said, “Well, I think my constituents, but broader to the public, should know that we are engaged in a drive-by Congress. We are hardly ever here, and when we are, we are engaged in process, not progress.”
