I was just refreshing the page to type something about an APB for Wilson and saw your tweet. It’s obvious we all know what should be done, but, hey, we’re not making those big decisions in Ferguson. Unreal.

I’m sure the FBI knows where Wilson is.

I agree. They wouldn’t let him become a fugitive from justice. But I’m glad reporters and members of the community are insinuating that he is – technically, because of the police cover-up, he is.

    http://www.stonekettle.com/2014/08/pressure-cooker.html

Compare the images from Ferguson, Missouri to Gaza, to Moscow, to Tiananmen Square, to Brazil, to any of a hundred supposedly inferior Third World places we see on our TVs every single day and tell me again about our great American exceptionalism.

If you want to be exceptional, America, then you have to be the exception. Q.E.D.

The events of Ferguson, Missouri over the last week are the norm in America.

And there is nothing particularly new about any of it. From the Whiskey Rebellion to Ferguson, this is how we so often do business in America. Shoot first, ask questions later, let God sort it out.

The violence in Ferguson is the natural consequence of short sighted policies enacted out of fear, out of reflex and political laziness and a lack of national will. It exists because we are too damned lazy to do anything about it except wring our hands and blame somebody else.

The violence in Ferguson is a direct result of our exceptional inability to face the real problems and deal with them as a mature nation, as a civilized society, and as a reasonable people.

Must Read and share. Another brilliant piece by Mr. Wright

      THIS.

Thanks, DF, for this excellent post!

      Awesome Article…from Stonekettle Station…money line for me…

The violence in Ferguson, Missouri is about race.

Everything that’s happened begins from that simple point.

And until we deal with that, that right there and all the myriad complex problems that depend from it, the centuries of social inequality, the lack of justice, the us and them mentality, the poverty, the drugs, the guns, the politics, the lost potential and opportunity, and especially the rage, until we face that head on and actually do something about it in a fair and reasoned manner, then scenes like Ferguson will continue to play out on the evening news.

They killed an unarmed young man. May that and their continued lies forever haunt them.

Norrmal folks are aghast at the ease with which the Ferguson PD is making it up as they go along.
To me, the careless lies are a disturbing symptom of arrogance.
The liars don’t much care if their bs is revealed.

      Decent people own their words.
Bullies will say whatever works at the moment because the truth and mutual respect are foreign concepts.
I’m guessing winning and dominance are what they value.

Well done Nerdy, these tweets speak to all the lies, innuendo and utter bs we’ve been repeatedly fed by the Ferguson PD. I’m so grateful that people are wise to it. I’ve had to step away today from all this out of anger and frustration.

  22. August 16, 2014 at 12:23 am

The tweets are all on point.

    http://www.slate.com/blogs/the_slatest/2014/08/15/ferguson_police_nametags_reportedly_haven_t_been_worn.html

Huffington Post reporter Ryan Reilly, who was arrested on Wednesday for not leaving a Ferguson, Missouri, McDonald’s fast enough, writes on Twitter that Ferguson police have not been, and are still not, wearing nametags or any other means of identifying themselves:

It’s nice to see officers with name tags on from Missouri State Highway Patrol. #Ferguson cops still not wearing them.

Seems all hell broke loose again in Ferguson. Something has to be done to restore order to that battered community. Reporters described locals as disgusted by this new eruption of violence, saying it was locals vs. looters——locals trying to protect the stores and businesses there—–but the looters seem to have won. A Ferguson resident said these troublemakers, who I suspect have flocked to that area, have wrecked all the progress they had made——and the calmer atmosphere they were trying to achieve. I just don’t see how this can be allowed to continue night after night—–strong arm tactics didn’t work, and a stand down didn’t work either. New plan needed. The residents there deserve a return to some kind of normalcy.
