I have watched this video now 3x. Jesse Williams spoke the TRUTH. The other two guests were nodding including the CONservative woman and the Libertarian LGBTQ guy.

No wonder Candy ran away……Remember, she is another Chuck Todd. She once said that it was Not her Job to call out those who lie. Jesse was calling out Journalists. Candy simply could not handle The Truth.

HELENA, Mont. (AP) — Amanda Curtis is framing her campaign for U.S. Senate as one that will champion the working class.

The Democrat says November’s election will not be about which political party controls the Senate, but whether it will be controlled by the middle class or millionaires.

She put Republican opponent Rep. Steve Daines on the side of the latter.

Dudette, in addition to his high IQ, he sounds like a sweet, sensible boy who wants to enjoy the things other children do and doesn’t want to move forward in school beyond his emotional ability. His mom seems to have the same common sense. I don’t doubt there will be scholarships available to this young man at Oxford or anywhere else he chooses to go. I love his Barack Obama-like ears!

Too much stuff stinks here. http://thinkprogress.org/justice/2014/08/17/3472255/browns-denied-request-to-see-video/

Anthony Grey, a local lawyer in Ferguson, told ABC’s This Week that the Brown family was not shown the video before it was released to the press, even though they had requested “to see any video footage before it was released.” Nor were they given the chance to positively identify Brown in the video.
“They were appalled by it,” Grey told an ABC reporter on Sunday morning. “They saw it for the first time – a glimpse of it — on nationwide TV. They had requested an opportunity, through the attorneys, to see any video footage before it was released. That request was not honored.”
“No one was given the opportunity to authenticate it was Mike Brown Jr. in the video.”

Now couple this fact with the request from the DOJ NOT TO RELEASE THE VIDEO when they did….. I hope this all comes to bite the Ferguson PD…I’m just so sorry for the Brown family and the rest of this town for having to bear the brunt of this police dept’s willful incompetence.

I’m just so sorry for the Brown family and the rest of this town for having to bear the brunt of this police dept’s willful incompetence.

Not incompetence, I don’t think, so much as incitement, or even orchestration. They have an agenda, and they’re trying to make sure it plays out.

I don’t see it. Plus, Dorian Johnson has said Mike Brown stole them.

If you watch the tape from the beginning, it is a woman that goes behind the counter. Is that person saying that man behind Mike has money in his hands.

      Confused…

      • 41 hopefruit2
        August 17, 2014 at 2:04 pm

Did you personally speak to Dorian Johnson – or are you getting second-hand info AS REPORTED by MSM hosts?

Another thing to remember, the Central Park Five case where all of the men were convicted and later found innocent – every one of them “admitted” to raping the victim (which they didn’t do).

        • 42 Linda
          August 17, 2014 at 2:17 pm

No…but his lawyer said it TV…

“We see that there’s tape, that they claim they got a tape that shows there was some sort of strong-armed robbery,” said Freeman Bosley, Johnson’s attorney. “We need to see that tape, my client did tell us and told the FBI that they went into the store. He told FBI that [Brown] did take cigarillos. He told that to the DOJ and the St. Louis County Police.”

That doesn’t prove he stole anything. Read my comment about the Central Park Five case.

The police have produced no evidence of calls from anyone reporting a robbery at that store. I would think with the way the video portrayed Brown hovering over the store owner, someone would’ve called 911 after he walked out of that store. Why weren’t there any calls made?

No problem. I didn’t like that the petition said “President Obama needs to”, but I figured since It was on the white House petition site and it had over 100,000 signatures that they could use this to show that citizens think that Cops should have Cams.

I remember reading in one of his books, that when he was in the Illinois State Senate, he was able to get a law passed that enabled cameras to be installed in the interrogation room.

I don’t know who this Jesse Williams is but he spoke the truth. I came across some comments today were some people want to call Michael Brown a thug, he was member of some gang, he had a criminal record, and my comment was Michael Brown was a human being, and while he may have stole those cigars, show me one person who haven’t done something they shouldn’t have, yes even broke the law, but you weren’t gun down like a animal. Brown raised his hands, surrendering to that cop, yet he still was shot two more times. When it comes to a black man or boy it’s shoot first and ask questions later. When it comes to a white man or boy, it’s let shooting be the last thing you do, try you best never to shoot.

    • 78 hopefruit2
      August 17, 2014 at 2:10 pm

That’s nice to see, but also keep in mind those pics were taken BEFORE that “damning” video of Brown supposedly stealing was released. Many of those same people in protests are probably now calling Brown a “thug” who deserved what he got. That was the SOLE purpose of releasing that inflammatory video – to erase any sympathy for Brown, and bolster support for the killer cop.

A real TEST for America would be when people of all races can resist being manipulated by stereotyped images of “Blacks as criminals” on TV and come together for justice- so if we can see similar protests even after knowing that Brown might have possibly stolen a few cigars from a convenience store, then that would be far more reassuring…

I don’t blame you for feeling that way, but please don’t totally lose hope in the people in the nationwide protests. Those people get it. And who among them now believe anything the Ferguson PD has to say? The timing and release of the video were transparent to most. Just my take.

Looking at the video that africa posted @24….the kid they say is Mike Brown looks so relaxed and casual through this whole transaction…this doesn’t look like the way someone that stole something or was thinking about stealing something before they went into the store, would act. There is no urgency here…none at all.

Up until 3 a.m.-ish, watching CNN’s coverage of Ferguson. Biggest mistake I saw was when reporter started saying police were firing tear gas, but a cop walked by and informed the crew it was not tear gas, it was smoke canisters they were using. That was one small comfort. Fell asleep before I could hear any recap, so I’ll have to catch up on the latest. Glad to be able to come here to do that, Chips!

Briefly checking in with a lot to report on.
My daughter from Missouri is in town just for the day and we went to lunch and shopping (Century 21, bargain hunters) and tonight we are going out for dinner.
At the moment she is visiting with her Dad. I am reading what I missed.

So, when the news broke this week, she thought to herself, “must be some other Ferguson in Missouri.” Her surprise was because she has spent considerable time there and said it is a pleasant surburban town. She has been there repeatedly, in part, because a business her husband’s practice uses is located in Ferguson. Something to do with computers.

Once getting over the surprise, in her telling, the people in Clayton and U.City near Ferguson where she lives are deeply ashamed and humiliated by what is happening. My daughter, thank heavens does understand the real issue—the devaluing of black people in America.

She said that everyone she has spoken to is saying “Jay Nixon has made mistakes.” And “mistakes were made.” I had to stop her right there!
I pointed out those are RW locutions, widely spoken about GWB. Whose “mistake he made” cost us 6,000 dead Americans, 30,000 woulded and 100,000 dead Iraquis.

She got it immediately and we went on to what it means to live in a country where an 18 year old is executed and left, uncovered, on the street for hours.

She remarked that folks in MO. had been riveted by the nurse who came forward and was denied the ability to help Michael.

It is the common wisdom in rich MO democratic circles that Jay Nixon is Done.
And that the AG Chris C. will be the next governor.
She played me a clip on her iphone of this turkey and I said 2 minutes in, that he was clueless. Talking about peace and security. Again, the issue is a dead teenager, a killer cop on vacation and no autopsy report.

I couldn’t answer her questions. Big one is: What happens next? The best thing I had to offer was that voting registration is open in MO. for a few more weeks and the ballot box is our best tool for a better future.

Now on to read up on what I’ve missed. Jesse!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A few people keep saying that a customer filed a report – so why haven’t we seen or heard it to this day? And why would the store’s lawyers have no record of it, if a customer had in fact filed a report of a robbery at their client’s store? Someone on tweeter said that the storekeeper’s lawyer said that a customer had filed a report – yet when I ask for evidence – I get crickets, or responses like this:

      • 101 hopefruit2
        August 17, 2014 at 3:04 pm

        I hope so too.

If a customer actually called in the robbery to the police – why hasn’t that call been released? I’m thinking if the police are releasing info to “prove” that this guy committed a robbery – they would release as much evidence as they have, particularly in the face of an ambiguous video and set of still pics.

And I’m seeing on Twitter that the family asked to see the video before it was released but were denied that request. WHY?

        • August 17, 2014 at 4:19 pm

this stuff is being made up as they go…if all this was true ..it would have been stated at the initial press conference….that being said….the police officer has no knowledge of a crime being committee….he told the 2 young men to get out of the street…the police was in harassment mode…not arrest mode….

I am truly trying to keep my eyes on the prize….HF….so much info about there …some of it is not verified…

but as you stated in the previous thread…

we do not know the results of the autopsy……etc…

The media and the Ferguson PD have already done a great deal of damage essentially tying the two things together or at least attempting to justify why it’s okay if this boy got gunned down. Brown’s lawyers should have gotten ahead of the PD presser on Friday, knowing that the goal was to taint the jury pool by releasing this info.

Saw somewhere on twitter last night that somebody was offering up that Wilson, while in his police car, was afraid and nervous about Michael Brown, and that’s why he started to shoot. So, a guy on two police forces over six years, who received at least one commendation, with appropriate training, tucked in his vehicle, with a gun, is afraid and nervous about an unarmed teenager in the middle of the street whom he confronted first?

      Yep. And I’m Sophia Loren.

Yes, it was. I’m just saying I hope it continues – even as Mike’s character has been assassinated in the media. :)

*********One of my conservative friends just posted this on Facebook. I read the script but refuse to watch the video. In the middle, there’s a “quote” from Officer Wilson with his “story.” Remember last night, folks had gotten word of what his “story” was going to be. Please read just this script. Yes, it is, get this: Conservative Treehouse blog. Just know, this is their story. SICK and EVIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, I’d rather hear parts of it secondhand. This is why I don’t have conservative friends, on FB or otherwise! Thanks, anyway, because it’s good for somebody to keep up.

When I did the “I don’t want to see this”. it took it away, of course, but three similiar stories were available……..one from a ‘good friend’ of the cop, one from the girlfriend……you get the message. WOW! The RWNM has definitely come to their aid. Shawn Hannity probably leading the way. I feel sick, really sick!

Right Now it is all up to the Justice Dept…..we cannot go another week without knowing what is going to happen…

but in the meantime…I would be advocating a strong Voter Registration Drive….that energy must be channeled into something positive

TJ Holmes just said there’s a line of people outside the rally standing the rain. Somebody needs to be out there with voter registration forms right now.

I don’t trust the Ferguson nor the St Louis County Police…

Maybe I shouldn’t write this, but Capt Ron Johnson has been “programmed to fail,” by being thrust (even if willingly) into the forefront. I think he knows it. I think he has the skills to bypass all that, and conduct his new mission as best he can. But I’m praying, too.

Think I recall similar words said about a freshman Senator who dared believe he could and should run for President of the United States.

There will plenty of folk out there who wanna see him fail.

When times are tough, we ought to lift up those who step forward with a serving heart.
