You can tell those newstainers who are confident in their job security. No filter. Opinions spouted as if facts. Open with their bigotry.

I read pox news audience is only the dying generation. I am hoping that the majority of white americans will soon sour on the rw shockjocks and the corporate media disgusted by their blatant racist attitudes.

        • August 21, 2014 at 9:52 am

“…pox news audience is only the dying generation..”

With what we’ve been seeing between the Ferguson, open-carry demonstrations, recent recruitment campaigns by the KKK, SCOTUS rulings… I have little optimism that these blatant attitudes will die anything speedier than a slow death.

WHY AM I NOT SURPRISED….FOX NEWS ANCHORS NEED PADDED CELLS AND VELCRO WRAP AROUNDS…THEY HAVE NO RESPECT FOR ANYONE AND THEIR AGENDA IS AIMED AT DISRUPTING THIS COUNTRY. PRINCE TALAL SHOULD STEP OUT IN FRONT OF THE CAMERAS SO EVERYONE CAN SEE WHO REALLY WANTS TO REDUCE AMERICAN GOVERNMENT AND DISS THE FEDS!

OMG! Professor Hill should be canonized for his restraint in not telling O’Reilly what he looks, acts and sounds like.

    • August 21, 2014 at 10:17 am

AS Brauer has said this is how the media plays a strong role in pushing the meme of institutional racism….even a blk man with the credentials of PHD can not garner respect…because the color of his skin trumps it all….hell…the President of the United /States cannot garner the respect that is due ….enuff said what happens to the rest of us…

I was hoping you would have added that Dr. Lamont Hill got up and quietly, and with dignity, walked out.

      • August 21, 2014 at 11:44 am

Let them talk, let them show who they really are. Not everyone is stupid, it will dawn on some listeners eventually, those who can still think, even a little.

          August 21, 2014 at 12:05 pm

MP, I do want them to talk and show their true colours, but in instances like this with a known, high profile, racist idiot like O’Reilly I would have welcomed the good doctor giving him a classy slap! A slap like this one (which I absolutely <3 <3 – no foul words, just classy truth)! :) :) :)

Not surprised. If he had done his research he’d have known that the professor had more education than he would ever hope to have. My son is a college graduate and this is what he encounters everyday out there. When will this stereotype end?

Bank of America has agreed to pay a record $16.7bn (£10bn) to US authorities for misleading investors about the quality of loans it sold.

It is the largest settlement since the subprime crisis in the US, when thousands of people lost their homes.

The loans were sold by Countrywide Financial and Merrill Lynch before Bank of America bought them in 2008, at the height of the financial crisis.

The settlement will cut the bank’s third-quarter profits by $5.3bn.

Bank of America will pay a total of $9.65bn in cash and provide consumer relief worth about $7bn. The cash component consists of a $5bn civil penalty and $4.63 billion in compensation payments.

Thank you, df. i just watched the entire 11 minutes and if anybody has the time I encourage you to do so.

Lawrence ends his strong piece with a nod to the NYTimes saying that they usually do better work.
      Maybe.
I read their paper every morning with my coffee and I think it is a rare day when the NYT reports accurately.
They omit viewpoints that might threaten their Coprporate stance. Lies of omission each day and every day.

Just like all the members of the MSM.
The only difference between Fox and NYT is the tone and the “how far can we go?” caution the Times takes. After all, their audience is the Privileged, Liberal wing of the corporate state.

The message relentlessly is anti-PBO and pro the 1%. HRC is only one of the tools they use to hurt the Administration.
She will be cast aside when they find a sharper point.

Are you aware I was wandering around on the last post, marking time responding to crazy comments about tsunamis, not knowing that a new thread had started? Do you not care about misleading your customers? Do you think it’s now okay to treat us cavalierly because you are approaching the marker for 27 mill hits?

  16. August 21, 2014 at 10:00 am

I told you when this first started that somehow, someway that the president would be blamed.
    Sure enough.
I just knew, bc it’s the method of operation for everything.

Good morning Chips and TOD. Had to lurk the last few days because of work. I saw Linda’s tweet on previous thread about President Bush’s Iraq war history (thank you Linda) and copied ion my Facebook page. I am so tired of the criticism of our President. It doesn’t matter what he does, it is wrong. I want to know where are the Dems? We wouldn’t all this fundraising if they would just step up and respond to all the nonsense.

When Rick Perry ‘said and did nothing’

    By Steve Benen

    ——————————–

But the Dallas Morning News added an interesting wrinkle to this argument.

Rick Perry was outraged at the spectacle of Travis County District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg’s drunken-driving arrest last year. But he didn’t feel that strongly when two other district attorneys faced the same charges under similar circumstances.

In those cases, he said and did nothing.
    .
    .
Democratic strategist Jason Stanford put it this way: “The key difference was that one of the DAs was investigating his administration for corruption and the other two DAs weren’t.”

ISIS is losing support in ME. They want US troops on the ground in Iraq, because they know that would actually bring them more support. Which is why:

The way out is an education. College Education is always the answer!

    • August 21, 2014 at 12:05 pm

Yes, THESE COPS need to go to college instead of joining the police force to practice their barbaric and institutionalized hatred and racism.

Mike Brown was due to start college – yet he was still gunned down. No one in that racist police department cared that he was going to college; all they saw was his black skin.

On a final note: FUCK MSNBC and the horse they rode on. These so-called tensions are mostly instigated by white outsiders AND the police department, not the Black men living in Ferguson. The first homicide in Ferguson was Mike Brown’s death – not committed by black men. So MSNBC can start focusing on what started this “nightly routine of violence” in the first place and quit using that one protester’s words to further their bullshit stereotypes and racist agendas.

If, God forbid, the RWNJ’s win the Senate, McConnell promises that he will force PBO to become a RWNJ or he’ll shut down the government.

We will hear him say that ‘the People’ voted for that. And if we allow that to happen, it will be true: the ‘People’ who voted in enough numbers to win elections, will have voted exactly for that. The people who didn’t vote give up all rights to whine about the results.

Why is this so hard to understand?

James Foley seemed like a man I wish I could be

Out in a world that was dangerous as ever

A place where a whistle of a missile meant certain death, and
the stirs of the shadows bringing forth the never ending cold

James Foley braver than most men and women I know, not for dying,
but for forging ahead with every misstep a certain doom

Cheers to Foley, a man who will be remembered in the wells of nostalgia

I remember that episode when O’Rielly did that. Just as that was being aired, Murdoch or Ailes when asked said Marc was no longer a contributor to Fox. He later came back after people protested against Fox. Then HuffPost hired him and now, he is also, now, a CNN contributor and one of the Academicians with a bent of Blame Pres Obama 1st.
