A ceasefire in Gaza that could last a month. I hope this is true, just reading it on twitter and Al-Jeezera

I’m following that story avidly and it just may be accurate.
If so, it is a very good outcome for Gaza. All the gates will be opened.

    http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/bob-mcdonnell-living-with-priest-who-pleaded-guilty-sex-crime

    Hmm? What?

Virginia ex-Gov. Bob McDonnell (R) revealed during testimony last week that he moved out of his family home and in with his parish priest the week before his federal corruption trial began.

McDonnell explained on the stand that living separately from his wife Maureen would make it easier for him to prepare for trial each day and described their marriage as “on hold.” The priest he is staying with or the time being, Rev. Wayne Ball of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Richmond, Va., is a family friend who officiated his daughter Cailin’s wedding.

Ball also pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor sex charge in late 2002.

The Richmond Times-Dispatch reported at the time that Ball, then pastor of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Norfolk, pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of frequenting a bawdy place. Other media reports defined that as a place used for “lewdness, assignation or prostitution.” Norfolk police had arrested Ball and another Richmond man the night before Thanksgiving when they were found together in a parked car in a local park.

      August 26, 2014 at 12:49 pm

Why would he go stay with the priest? Maybe my mind is in the gutter but the man has family or he can rent a room someplace. The priest was arrested for visiting a “place used for lewdness.” Makes you wonder!

Texas Gov. Rick Perry (R) has hired Steve Schmidt to assist with strategy in fighting criminal charges against him for abuse of power, as first reported by Politico.

Schmidt, a longtime Republican strategist, was a senior campaign adviser and strategist in John McCain’s 2008 presidential campaign.

The move is the latest in a series of high-profile hires to Perry’s legal team, which suggest that the rumored 2016 presidential hopeful is taking the indictment very seriously.

He recently hired Ben Ginsberg, a former George W. Bush lawyer, and Mark Fabiani, a former Bill Clinton lawyer and Al Gore’s 2000 campaign spokesman. Ginsberg and Fabiani were key figures, on opposing sides, during the 2000 recount.

Evan Smith, the editor-in-chief of the Texas Tribune, dubbed it an “Ocean’s Eleven-style” legal team.

Beautiful! Just tuned in a few minutes ago. I LOVE hearing and seeing our great peerless strong wise and powerful leader. He is too busy and too dedicated and focused on doing the job we gave him, and serving the call of his conscience and integrity to create and nourish justice, to pay a teaspoonful of attention to the sorry, no-count, petty chorus of non-entities and negativity-spreaders.

Nancie, this is beautifully stated. ..”sorry, no-count, petty chorus of non-entities”,, pretty much says it all. No one will remember them, but President Obama’s name and accomplishments will always be honored.

“Relatives of Russian POWs Gather in Kostroma; Further Details on Capture by Ukrainians
    15:44 (GMT)

Relatives of the Russian prisoners-of-war from the 98th Guards Airborne Division currently held in Ukraine have gathered at their original base in the Russian city of Kostroma and are awaiting a meeting with the commander of the unit, RBC.ru reported, citing one of the relatives.

The commander has promised to meet with the relatives today, August 26. The ten POWs are from the 98th guards, originally based in Kostroma and Ivanovo, and were detained near the village of Zerkalnoye in Donetsk Region, 20 kilometers from the border.

The POWs were interrogated and it was established that they were sent to Rostov-on-Don last week by rail.

The Interpreter reported 23 August that a Russian military convoy was spotted on the railroad 20 August by a citizen who uploaded a video to YouTube.”

    After all,
    they invented
Shot in the BACK WHILE RESISTING ARREST
    for us..
Nobody’s been able to explain that to me – EVER
but, they got away from it.
so, why not Suicide by GUNSHOT While Handcuffed BEHIND YOUR BACK

    ……………………………………………….

Handcuffed Black Youth Shot Himself to Death, Says Coroner
    BY HANNAH RAPPLEYE

A coroner’s report obtained exclusively by NBC News directly contradicts the police version of how a 22-year-old black man died in the back seat of a Louisiana police cruiser earlier this year — but
still says the man, whose hands were cuffed behind his back, shot himself.

In a press release issued March 3, the day he died, the Louisiana State Police said Victor White III apparently shot himself in an Iberia Parish police car. According to the police statement, White had his hands cuffed behind his back when he shot himself in the back.

But according to the full final report of the Iberia Parish coroner, which was released nearly six months later and obtained exclusively by NBC News, White was shot in the front, not the back. The bullet entered his right chest and exited under his left armpit. White was left-handed, according to family members. According to the report, the forensic pathologist found gunshot residue in the wound, but not the sort of stippling that a close-range shot can sometimes produce. He also found abrasions on White’s face.

And yet, despite the contradictions – and even though White’s hands were never tested for gunpowder residue – the Iberia Parish coroner still supported the central contention of the initial police statement issued back in March. Dr. Carl Ditch ruled that White shot himself, and declared his death a suicide.

In a press release issued Monday, Dr. Ditch said that based on the findings of the pathologist and investigators, it was possible for White “due to his body habitus” to manipulate the gun to shoot
    himself in the chest.

      • August 26, 2014 at 1:24 pm

just because two folks in the same police department said that a handcuffed blk man shot himself in the front or the back…they think that we are Stupid enough to believe them…..ITHINK NOTTTTTTTTTTTTT!

    • 69 pkayden
      August 26, 2014 at 3:42 pm

Wonder why they didn’t just claim that he threatened them somehow despite being in handcuffs. That would be ridiculous but less so than him shooting himself while in handcuffs, which almost sounds impossible.

Hopefruit. This photo of Gaza celebrating is the truth.
You will not hear any truth from American AIPAC Senators much less Israel.
Here is the bottom line as I see it:

Hamas made it clear that the next missiles will do to Ben Gurion Airport what Israel has done to businesses, apartment dwellings, markets, schools, bakeries, and hospitals. Not an empty boast, as the technology has gotten better and better as it always does in any field of endeavor, given enough time.

Before AJ America cut him off Al Jazeera’s (real AJ) most Senior analyst Marwan Bargadi said, “Israel will never win because The Palestinians will not agree to lose.”

“- What would you like to say now to Russian and Ukrainian authorities?

    – I’ll say this to the Russian authorities: dear and good people, you who are up there in charge, help me find my son; tell me what happened to him!
To the Ukrainian authorities I will say this: dear Ukraine, I’m sorry if my son did something wrong; he’s a soldier; he wouldn’t do anything on his own. Forgive him, forgive me, we’ve never thought badly of Ukrainians. I’m a free and independent person, and I can truly say that Ukraine has never wronged us. I tried to teach my son only good things. Please, give me back my son…”
