A Tweet Or Two

When you proudly proclaim to be a “Clinton Democrat” after all the scandals the Clintons were involved in; but run away from the question of whether you voted for President Barack Obama, you have to admit it’s not his name you’re running away from. It’s the color of his skin. We see you, Candidate Grimes.

I cannot help but laugh and point and Grimes. She spent hundreds of thousands of dollars trying to distance herself from the black guy and LOOK what happened! The GOP is tying her to President Obama anyway and the press is also piling on. Stop doing and saying things that won’t win/cost you votes from either side.

Democratic Party is getting browner, how long are we supposed to put up with these campaign tactics from red state Dems?

I don’t know if she thinks her fellow Kentuckians are so racist that she can’t even be seen in the same time zone as PBO or that she really feels that way herself. Maybe both. But whatever the case she made this race a lot closer than it had to be.

“I don’t know if she thinks her fellow Kentuckians are so racist that she can’t even be seen in the same time zone as PBO or that she really feels that way herself.”

I ask this all the time when I come across a red state Dem running for office.

I want Mrs. Grimes to win, because Mitch McConnell is a low down dirty rat. But in a way the distancing themselves from this President really bother me. The President have done alot of good things to get this country back on the right track, and Democrats like Grimes can’t say one good thing this President have done.

Here’s one from 2011 when POTUS arrived in the same Pac Hts neighborhood for a fundraiser at Marc Benioff’s house (He’s the founder and CEO of Salesforce and a very big DEM and PBO supporter:

Great tweets NW. The tweets re Grimes are spot on. Unfortunately, she did herself a real disservice by not answering the vote question. She probably lost votes on that one. When she said “you know I am a Clintonite”, I almost fell over. Clinton was not on the presidential ticket. There is a difference of night and day between she and Wendy Davis. I know she is doing what she think is necessary to win.

When she said “you know I am a Clintonite”, I almost fell over.

What possessed her to spout this? Was she dogwhistling? A Democratic President backed by the popular Democratic governor of her own state just got 500,000 people to enroll in Obamacare. Clinton’s healthcare plan died in committee. Do you really want to be called a Clintonite given what he accomplished compared to PBO?

Jonathan Alter is firmly on Panetta’s bandwagon. He calls PBO the ” Professor in Chief.” Tweeted that he’d be on Alex Witt to discuss his Daily Beast article on the subject. I am too. Depressed about this. Feels like another knife in the back to me.

Take heart; this is all that they have. PBO ignores them and goes on to win and win; the majority of the voting public ignored themand elected PBO twice; the media has a small and ever dwindling reader and viewership and despite all of this, PBO is loved and respected the world over. He and we have won the history award; the others will be lucky to be footnotes.

I have a question, knowing full well the midterm election is coming up and it will be a struggle for the Democrats to keep control of the Senate. Couldn’t Panetta had waited to release his book till after the election. You have Democrats out there thinking only of themselves.

The guy was uninsured. Poor. Foreigner. Black.
The stats on treatment in US at private hospitals are known. An uninsured gets just basic and minimal treatment when compared to cash and carry folks, Medicare, Medicaid and Insured Folks. The stats are there.

In USA……..unfortunately……it is almost the case.

I wonder…did insurance come into play for the first two patients treated at Emory? In their case, it wasn’t a situation where someone walked into an ER to be treated. They were sent to Emory specifically to be treated for ebola. In the case of Mr. Duncan, not withstanding him having a 103 temperature [I’ve heard that people can go into seizures at temperatures that high], you just have to wonder if everything was done for him that could have been done. By the time the decision was made treat him with the experimental drug, it was probably too late to do any good.

I also wonder the difference in the level of care given to Mr. Duncan and the patient currently being treated in Nebraska.

Not sure if it’s public or private, but it looks like the hospital may face a state inquiry:

                  ======

                  http://www.dallasnews.com/news/metro/20141010-texas-health-presbyterian-may-face-state-inquiry-in-ebola-case.ece

                  —-

The state health department may investigate a Dallas hospital’s handling of the nation’s first Ebola case as medical records released Friday raise more troubling questions about the Liberian patient’s initial treatment.

The records depict a man far sicker than hospital officials had initially indicated, with details that left some infectious disease experts aghast.

Sharing my Affordable Care Act (aka Obamacare) recent Happy Dance re: No rate increases for my medical plan for 2015, dental rate decreased, while the Benefit Maximum more than doubled, yea!!). in the last 3 months, I have had a flu shot, a mammogram, and a blood test, all without co-pays. My yearly dental X-Rays scheduled for December is also without any other costs. Finally, the one medication that I take is only 1.81 $ for a month’s supply. When I retired in the summer of 2013, my biggest financial concern was the cost of health care (I am under 65 and single) that I would be directly responsible for for the first time (it was an employee benefit prior to this). It has been manageable so far, thanks, in part, to the ACA. When I received the news that there would be no rate increases for 2015, I was greatly relieved. I love Obamacare and the man who brought it to us. I am always so tickled that the term that the GOPers used as a pejorative, has instead insured that PBO would forever get credit for this law that has begun to transform the health and well-being of our nation.

Whew. I am so mad right now. I’ve got to take the hubby to UAB to the transplant center for an all day test on the 18th, which starts at 6:15 a.m. I booked a car from Hotwire.com for the trip. Than a good Samaritan offer to transport us. I asked Hotwire could I swap the car for the hotel. They refused. Can I use the care on another day? They Refused.

I will never use them again. Very mad right now at that lady that took my call. I asked to speak to a supervisor. She told me the answer will be the same if a supervisor gets the call. Thank you, Vicki! We must remember our beloved POTUS is polling at 31% in Kentucky! McConnell could have the election determined if Alison Grimes had stated on camera that “She voted for President Barack Obama!” The airwaves all over Kentucky would have many different ads with Alison Grimes stating she voted for President Obama. Former President and Secretary Clinton are beloved in Kentucky. Alison Grimes was smart to deflect the answer to the question in the manner that she did. The media is outraged because she didn’t take the bait. She did what she needed to do to help her chances. We shall see how that works for her. Now President Clinton can go into Kentucky and make some sense of the media trying to hang her because she did not disclose who she voted for. Not disclosing who you vote for is a time honored tradition in certain places. Many people reject questions about who they vote for. So, I don’t think this hurts toooo much. People see it as the media piling on to a female candidate who is a strong woman.

According to the International Monetary Fund, China will soon become the world’s greatest economy. For many, they will take pride in this extraordinary economic success of China. You proclaimed to pursue “The China dream” – the dream of all people, which shall therefore be realized by the people, and for the people. We presume you would agree that real accomplishment can only be achieved from a bottom-up approach by the people. Now, Hong Kong people have made clear that the same dream for the previous 30 years: the implementation of genuine universal suffrage and the establishment of a system which respects equal rights and guards the well-being of Hong Kong people in the generations to come.

You once said, “We shall always listen to the people, respond to their expectations and ensure equal rights of participation and development, so as to maintain social justice.” Don’t Hong Kong people’s persistence for an equal system echoes with your thought? Hong Kong people’s proposal of the abolition of Functional Constituencies and Civil Nomination within the Chief Executive electroal framework or the nominating committee aims at guaranting equal participation and rights, with a view to achieve an equal development and protect social fairness and justice.
