O, Dudette, I have to pass this comment on to you as it rightfully belongs to you. I passed on that link you shared in the village recently.

I am completely confused as to why the President always seems to be the only person in the US who can shut down media b.s. on any issue. Every other politician seems to ramp up the b.s. and encourage the continuous lies the media spreads.

States might as well remove their governors - every time they have an issue - be it minor or major - they scream for the President to “fix it”.

This may be so, but why is Alison focused on that in the moments before the debate? In the more recent weeks I actually see her responses as very simplistic/childish - IMO she should be making more substantive points instead of reacting to Mitch’s do’s and don’ts.

      • 75 vcprezofan2
        October 13, 2025 at 8:51 pm

I don’t see her as ‘taking charge’ at all at this point in the contest. In fact, from the little I’ve been seeing Grimes seems to be ‘nit-picking’ instead of stepping forward with a confident grasp of where she wants to take Kentucky. Anyway, I still want Mitch to lose.

The House of Commons backed the move “as a contribution to securing a negotiated two-state solution” - although less than half of MPs took part in the vote.

The result, 274 to 12, is symbolic but could have international implications.

Government ministers abstained on the vote, on a motion put forward by Labour MP Grahame Morris and amended by former Foreign Secretary Jack Straw.

Middle East Minister Tobias Ellwood said Britain reserved the right to recognise Palestine when it is “appropriate for the peace process”.

In 2012 the UN General Assembly voted to upgrade the Palestinians’ status to that of “non-member observer state”.

The assembly voted 138 to nine in favour, with 41 nations - including the UK - abstaining.

I think overall Grimes did a good job and McConnell sounded like an old recording from the 19th century. If I were a Kentuckian, I would vote for Grimes with no hesitation as a Dem.

Having said that, I still take great objection to Grimes’ starting this divisiveness about “Clinton Democrat vs Obama Democrat” and therefore being forced to defend it at every instance, when the real issues of focus should be McConnell’s bad and harmful policies for Kentuckians and 30 years of utter uselessness in the Senate. If Grimes does win the Senate, I hope she can find the courage to work to overcome some of that racism in the state. Because it will come back to hunt her - when you tolerate and accommodate these malignancies in the short run, you have to deal with them in the long run - otherwise they will destroy you.

Have you guys seen this - it now has 7 million views on Facebook but I’m posting the Youtube version? LOL, this little guy can move. Oh and this movie is the best. Still. I’m so sad that Patrick Swayze is no longer with us; what a beautiful man.

This is just a little test…I have had the WORST time with this computer the last few weeks… I just wanted to see if what I just did, fixed the problem :) one problem is fixed…I can type one letter at a time without the letter coming up 5 seconds later! That, and the curser would just move…so I’d type and not be paying attention and the words wouldn’t make any sense because the curser had moved…annoying to say the least. That’s why my comments have been very short lately:) If I fixed it, that means I can go back to flapping my jaws! (kidding)

Actually, Df, I’ve been having some of those delaying symptoms but I thought it was because the thread was heavy.

I don’t think so, vc…I think that my laptop is a mess. It happens at any part of a thread…even on a new one, for me anyway. Speaking of a heavy thread……any bt’s awake??

      Hey df,
My guess is ghosts! :) Seriously, here’s some possible reasons: http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch001337.htm Or you might just want to buy a new keyboard - $30 range for most of them.

Hmmm. Four minutes later and my tactic hasn’t worked. I’d better go to bed for real.
