Hi 99
Hi vetivera - enjoy your evening
Two in a row??????!!!!!!??????
Faaaaaaaaaantastic tweets Nerdy, thank you soooOOOOooOOOooOOOoooo much!!!
Now there’s a picture worth waiting for - although I could handle a few FLOTUS rewards.
Must be the proximity of PBO that has me checking TOD at the right times :)
:-) Here’s an entire video for ya:
Thank you - 15 minutes of joy
Those kids were great playing the blues “Sweet Home Chicago”.
You’re welcome, Chips.
Congrats 99ts on #1. Your little orange button is malfunctioning? I’ve had periods of the same - it usually fixes itself in time, so take heart and don’t fret! :)
Hi hf - your optimism in all things - even WP - is a joy :) I am slowly recovering from seeing the US congress disappear down the drain - with the help of TOD
Another 1st for 99 :)
SUPERB selection, as always, NW!!!!!
If I manage it again I could join the ranks of “amoral winners” :)
Thanks, Bob.
Many thanks NW for the tweets - they are a delight as is TOD
Thanks, 99ts. Congrats on first.
Congratulations 99ts!
You left a comment.
I thought it was compulsory :) Hi LDS
Thanks Nerdy

My Holiday Wish List:
1. Flannel pajama sets (for the arctic blast that’s about to hit us)
2. Amazon gift cards (plenty of those)
3. Fruitcake (not too big, just the right size - I may even share it with you).
LOL! That’s all…not asking for much…thanks. Don’t delay any longer. Start shopping right away and ship the gifts ASAP please. :)
Happy Holidays to everyone! :) :)
Here ya go Hopefruit:
:-)
i want those ojamas!! please santa, please?!
 Don’t forget the slippers!
oh, thank you chipsaclaus!
:) :) ” chipsaclaus!” Love that.
 You are most welcome, Susanne!
oh, so santa bought out the pjs from amazon :)
Where do I get those “Ojamas” ?? :)
I bought them all DF, sold old
You bought them ALL? You could make a fortune here! susanne love them, too:) I need those. I really need those.
df, i think she actually did buy them all- i went directly to amazon, and they don’t have anything like it. maybe she’ll give them out as presents to her favorite blogpals! I LOVE YOU SOO MUCH CHIPS! I AM YOUR BESTEST FRIEND EVERRRRR !!! AND I’VE BEEN VERY GOOD THIS YEAR… mostly… :)
Why did I think of this song? Obama Jammas?
  Any excuse!
Sorry DF, not for sale - I have a pair for every night of the year
Drats!
Oh my goodness Chips….you’re quite the holiday shopper!! When I said “ASAP” I didn’t even quite know what I meant, but I’m not complaining!
I like what I see, Obama-jamas, fruitcake, and my amazon giftcard; couldn’t ask for a better Christmas Season….Thanks for the wonderful presents. Hope the rest of TOD will happily follow your footsteps…
When will you be posting your holiday list btw? :)
I’m working on my list right now Hopefruit, up to item number 684, will post nearer the big day. Dollars at the ready, please:
Chips you know I love you but…
My great Aunt from Greenland just called to say she’s ill and doesn’t have much time left. I have to go bid her adieu and won’t be back until perhaps February or March, as I wrap up her estate and other loose ends…
Bye! :)
:)
I am not making this up: I read that too quickly, so I saw: “My great Aunt Greenwald”, and I was like, “WHAT?!”
ROTFLMAO!!!!
:) :)
“Hi Aunt Greenwald - it’s me your favorite great-niece; HF2!”
Lawd..I can’t picture that man being any “relative” to anyone… LOL!
You SURE about that nasty fruitcake?? :)
You mean the one Chips bought me? LOL! Be nice, df, be nice. Christmas is but upon us… :) :)
Looks like a loaf of bread with fruit salad on top. Weighs about 40 lbs. Who wants to spend good $$ to send that in the mail? You could break a tooth on that thing! You’re hopefruit, not hopeforfruitcake!! Just Say No!
looks like it’s been circulating in the u.s. mail for many years, and since nobody will eat it, it’s grown a mouth so it can eat any fingers that open the wrapping! aiyeee!!
You know..you’re right df. That is one ugly cake…I’ll wrap it and send it off to Mark Knoller. He won’t even notice how ugly it is because he will have wolfed it down before fully unwrapping it….
Meanwhile, I’m keeping the O’jamas, and giftcard!
I know it’s the Daily Mail, but I’ve said before it’s great for pics.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-2827938/Why-sausages-curl-cook-doesn-t-fruit-cake-stale-new-book-uses-science-solve-niggling-little-questions.html
“Why does fruit cake still taste fine after two years?
It’s the high sugar content. Sugars are ‘hygroscopic’ — meaning that they draw water from their surroundings, including from any bacteria or fungi. This prevents growth of such microbial contaminants.
Fruit cakes are also cooked for a long time, ensuring high temperatures through the cake, which means it starts out pretty much free of bacteria.”
Love Chips’ gift of the flannel pjs.
Now you’re all set for Christmas/Hannukah, and it’s not even Veterans Day yet!
Arapaho415, confession: And this may end my friendship with Hopefruit….
When I rule the world, fruitcake will be outlawed. And anyone caught making it, will be incarcerated for a minimum of 560 years. Although, while strongly opposed to the death penalty, I may consider it.
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 We are one, DF #KillFruitcakeNOW
Mindmeld. For sure. :)

Thank you, Chips!
Come on E.J.,why should the Republicans govern with this President? After all they were just rewarded for doing nothing. For obstruction, for filibustering, the Americans rewarded them for not governing. Those who sat home and didn’t vote, and the racists Republicans who hate this President.

Nothing wrong with that shirt ~ at all.
I second that statement. Besides, Mr. Yardarm has not issued a Naughty Mat in months, and he’s just about itching to bring them all out….
Perhaps, however, he admits to needing one himself not more than a day or two ago, AG Leech caused a stir among the menfolk of TOD…
Hilarious.
http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/world/2014/11/10/obama-gum-chewing-riles-some-chinese/18801757/
lets see…less than a week from the elections, and we have:
1. loretta lynch nomination for a.g., an incredibly historic moment for “breaking the glass ceiling”
2. president obama goes to china and meets with chinese president and set to meet putin in a few days.
3. historic statement on net neutrality.
4. the first lady obama announces some amazing presidential medal recipients, including the heroes killed trying TO REGISTER BLACK VOTERS IN THE DEEP SOUTH.
again, less than a week. oh my goodness, president obama not having to worry about election “optics” is going to be a sight to behold!! remember in his chicago office our president had only one photo on the wall above his desk - this one of muhammed ali over sonny liston. i think we’re officially entering the “sting like a bee” stage of the obama presidency and we’re ready for a whole bunch of knock-outs, mr. president. they’ve earned them!!
Yep, 4more!!
And, he’s just a week into what is going to be a fantastic 2+ years of kicking oligarch butt …. with a grin ….
Great minds think alike I was just about to post basically the same thing. Let me add that he is planning to send 1500 more troops to Iraq, but not until authorization is approved by Congress.
MSM loves optics, one of the best optics was yesterday on FTN where the interview was conducted in the Oval Office in front of the Resolute desk. This said don’t count me out. I’m still CIC. And once again he doubled down on an EO on immigration.
And, the two Americans held in N Korea were released.
Most of this is going to make the R’s head exploded. I want him to continue to lay it on them. He has nothing to lose and his own party needs to get in line and work beside him and stop blaming PBO for their failures. Push On.
and just seeing i typed that wrong about our glorious first lady and the presidential medals. she should be getting one herself someday!
It’s really simple, folks, and they’re is nothing accidental about it ….
As I’ve said before, you’re either on the Obama steamroller or you better enjoy being pavement ….

“PBO is going to troll the GOP for the next two years. He’s not going to give them a break…soon he will have their heads spinning in every which direction that they lose focus and implode before they are even sworn into the Senate in Jan.
Yesterday – Announced the nomination of Loretta Lynch as AG – GOP loses their shit and mistakes her for another Lorretta Lynch….
Today – Announced support for Net Neutrality – GOP loses their shit and Ted Cruz bumbles some crap on Twitter about Obamacare (which is doing splendidly well BTW)
Tomorrow – what shall it be?
Have you noticed a pattern so far? I sure have, and I LOVE IT!!!”
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
So, so true. MSM/Koch are just as befuddled as the GOP on how to handle #POTUSunplugged.
McTurtle is going to regret parroting Ted Cruz on net neutrality — GOP exposing themselves as puppets of Corporate America. The Internet was invented in America by Americans and should be available to everyone in this country — there shouldn’t be haves and have nots. Another PBO legacy for the history books.
There’s a snarky, unsourced article by that witch @jpacedc that I won’t link to (if you’re interested, see her twitter timeline), but this rings true:
“White House officials say Obama’s optimism reflects a president who feels liberated by even the limited prospects for striking deals with a Republican Congress and relieved about shedding the narrow Democratic majority that would have guaranteed Washington stayed locked in a stalemate.”
Just watching FLOTUS - Jacki Kennedy redecorated the White House - Michelle Obama brought the people into her life at the White House. I’ve no idea what any in between 1st lady did but it pales into nothing in comparison to the current 1st Lady. Only Eleanor Roosevelt could get close. She is such a delight in every possible way.
I agree with you 99ts.
Millions agree with both of us bella (Is this your new online name - or do you still want to be called anniebella?)
Doesn’t matter 99ts, you can call me either one, just don’t call me Republican. :)
Never ever! You are surely the No 1 supporter of FLOTUS - forever and ever. :)
Not good news for Moscow:
The noxious gas in Moscow is hydrogen sulfide.
I remember hearing about the killer smog in 1952 London — killed 4,000 people — the toxic agent was sulfur dioxide, and it occurred in December.
Did Obama smite Putin with that noxious gas?
Greenwald and Snowdenski should be mighty proud of all that Chinese freedumb …..
:D :D :D
They don’t know what freedom is - until it is gone - Snowden was so used by Greenwald - stupid is as stupid does.
I wasn’t even aware of this release.
Wow, me neither Hopefruit, ain’t it funny how there’s endless coverage of these things before happy conclusions, then crickets.
Yup. Funny and disturbing at the same time.
And notice how Ebola is barely getting a mention now? What a sick ****ing media.
Exactly. No more Ebola. No more ISIS.
Oh, their transparency…
Wasn’t it not to long ago when we were constantly seeing polls left and right telling us how fearful Americans were of ebola.
this is the type of news that the DNC could send us emails about
McCain made a BFD about this before this good outcome. Now? Not so much.
I understand the reluctance to cover this story.
Since the Marine was arrested just over the border from California, it’s been in the news here — Gov. Brown was mum on the subject when he visited Mexico a few week ago.
The Marine was arrested in Mexico for carrying illegal arms — he claimed he was on a freeway and didn’t know he entered Mexico — a story that doesn’t add up and is hard to believe IMHO.
He’s back home in Florida now.
He’s not an innocent — unlike the horrific murders of those three young Texans in Mexico a week or so ago allegedly by Mexican police.
But before the release there was a great deal of coverage - so I don’t think that’s the reason for the lack of coverage now that he’s been released.
This goes back to what smartypants wrote about…this continual sensationalism in the media…but no stories of resolution…
http://immasmartypants.blogspot.com/2014/11/how-our-media-fuels-cynicism.html
she says…
The folks I DO hold accountable for the spread of this kind of cynicism are those in the media. The reason my neighbor doesn’t think that elected officials ever follow through is because they are fed massive doses of hysteria every day with almost zero coverage of results.
I know it’s too early to be talking about 2016, but it looks like there are three men seriously considering campaigning for the Dem nomination.
I also know that many here at TODville don’t appreciate Jim Webb’s disagreements with our President.
Despite his public statements criticizing President Obama, he’s a military man staunchly against intervention in the Middle East, is a fierce advocate for prison reform and he is committed to bring Wall Street casino operators down to earth (or jail, perhaps).
Surely her time has past. Why she didn’t accept that in 2008 is beyond belief. In terms of pushing an old theme - not so different from the Palin fool - sad that Hillary can’t see that.
This article only tangentially touches on HRC.
It’s mostly about Jim Webb, with a smattering of O’Malley and Sanders.
I’m curious to see how those “libruls” on COMCAST MSNBC handle the whole Net Neutrality issue…not that I will be watching that station for anything. But I will eventually find out in other ways…
Put this in the ” About fucking time” catagory!
http://www.democraticunderground.com/10025799166
Chastened by the conservative movement’s startling success at using national money to dominate state legislatures, liberal activists this week will ask top donors to support a plan to reverse the precipitous Democratic decline in state governments, where the party was trounced yet again on Tuesday.
President Barack Obama’s former liaison to the states will launch a major new state-focused organization called the State Innovation Exchange – or SiX for short – before donors on Friday at the annual winter meeting of the Democracy Alliance liberal funding club.
SiX’s goal is an ambitious one: to compete with a well-financed network of conservative groups – including the American Legislative Exchange Council, or ALEC – that for years have dominated state policy battles, advancing pro-business, anti-regulation bills in state after state.
