    Good Morning, Chips.

I don’t know the schedule nor do I know if POTUS has another live event. But here is a live stream for the APEC summit in Beijing.

    Good morning TOD.
To Chips, Nerdy and all those who are still standing strong and united in our respect and admiration for Our President, Thank You. I’m not sure how I could have gotten through the last week without knowing all of you.

It was mentioned on the previous thread but it sure is interesting if POTUS is covered better now than he usually was on overseas trips.

When PBO was denied airtime to discuss the ACA’s 8 million triumph we all had to understand something ugly was here.
Making believe that the US President only gets mentioned in a negative context is such a disgusting and obvious political move.

Is it possible coverage will change now that the mid-terms are over?

G’morning Vicki, I don’t expect the MSM’s political coverage to change regarding this President. In fact, I anticipate it getting a lot worse - if you think that wasn’t possible. The GOP operatives that control the media will not relent until they are fully convinced that this President is completely destroyed - his legacy, his presidency, his being. And that won’t happen.

Therefore, we will see them getting more unhinged as he manages to outwit the GOP, retain the majority of public support and trust, render this rigged midterm result meaningless, and go on to become one of America’s greatest Presidents.

COS, Good I hope it makes the round. I read it to someone last night and they want me to send it to them, but I’m sorry to say I had no ideal how to do so. I fine myself wondering about Americans alot of times. I know about the racists ass Republicans, but what about the voters who claim they are progressives, those who are for the issues like minimum wage increase, health care, women’s rights, civil rights, voter’s suppression, immigration, affordable education. These voters should have not forgotten what things were like when Barack Obama walk into that oval office, how bad things were. But I guess they did. After seeing what the Republicans were like these six years, I ask myself how in the world could anyone with any dam sense not get out to vote to prevent them from getting control of the Senate? I also think the Republicans cheated with the votes in some way.

Morning everyone! Well THIS explains things!

    http://www.independent.co.uk/news/science/virus-that-makes-humans-more-stupid-discovered-9849920.html

A virus that infects human brains and makes us more stupid has been discovered, according to scientists in the US.

The algae virus, never before observed in healthy people, was found to affect cognitive functions including visual processing and spatial awareness.

Scientists at Johns Hopkins Medical School and the University of Nebraska stumbled upon the discovery when they were undertaking an unrelated study into throat microbes.

Surprisingly, the researchers found DNA in the throats of healthy individuals that matched the DNA of a virus known to infect green algae.

So as someone in the comments said, Republicanism can now be diagnosed…..and we have Obamacare! It CAN be fixed!

The city is basically in lockdown. Us ordinary folks will only see PBO on the TV. Marine One might fly over my house - depending on where AF1 lands - that’s about as close as it gets.

I believe he is giving a talk to students at UQ (University of Queensland) - presumably our RW government couldn’t stop that one.

The ABC news channel will hopefully cover the visit. Online here

Well, 99ts, even if it’s only Marine 1 flying over, you will absolutely feel the energetic charge throughout the atmosphere, PBO being anywhere within 10 miles of air space can be electrifying!! Entire cities fire up when they know he is on the way in, and it’s much more than just the Secret Service, the traffic revisions and the added security all around. It’s so much more.

Reading Pierce - interesting to see that the Pope stands up to the wrong of his cardinals much more than does the US Supreme Court.

    http://www.esquire.com/blogs/politics/Papa_Francesco_Drops_The_Hammer

“Last year, Papa Francesco gave Burke the boot from the Congregation of the Bishops. But Burke kept running his useless gob; last week, he gave an interview in which he implied that the church was now like a “ship without a rudder.” Whereupon Papa Francesco hit him over the head with it. I don’t expect Burke to shut up, but he has been placed in a position without real power, where he can be safely ignored. And the pope has fired a warning shot over likeminded omadhauns throughout the institutional church.”

Haley Barbour Apologizes For ‘Tar Babies’ Comment On Obama’s Policies

In what’s become a repeated gaffe in American politics, former Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour (R) has apologized for describing President Obama’s policies as “tar babies.”

In an article published Monday morning, Politico reported on a pair of anonymous sources who said Barbour made the comment during a conference call last week involving clients of the lobbying firm BGR Group.

Barbour, a cofounder of the firm, confirmed to Politico that he used the phrase.

“If someone takes offense, I regret it. But, again, neither the context nor the connotation was intended to offend,” he told Politico in an email.

That history has gotten a number of politicians in trouble, including former GOP presidential nominees Mitt Romney and John McCain. Like Romney and McCain, Barbour apologized but insisted that he didn’t think he was using a slur.

Report: Birther Behind Misleading Chicago Election Judge Robocalls

The Sun Times on Friday identified Republican committeeman Jim Parrilli as the voice in one of the robocalls telling judges to attend another training. He identifies himself in some of the calls. In one robocall he tells judges that they should vote, and that “part of being a Republican judge means supporting our Republican ticket.”

Sources told the Sun Times that Parrilli was working with Sharon Meroni, who helps the Cook County Republican Party recruit election judges. Meroni reportedly recorded another robocall for election judges telling them how to report issues.

Sun Times columnist Mark Brown described Meroni as “a Republican wingnut who considers herself a one-woman crusader against vote fraud in Illinois — in between her efforts to prove Barack Obama is not a U.S. citizen.”

In the past, Parilli has apparently tried to prove that Rahm Emanuel is not a Chicago resident.

Of course, these assholes were so busy trying to run away from the President that they ran right into oncoming traffic.

To think of all that time and energy wasted in Iowa doing persuasion calls with people who turned out to be Republican. GEEZE.

Honestly, DWS needs to be fired. You can’t screw up that horrendously and not lose your job. But I know DWS is Hillary’s girl so she’s not going anywhere soon. DAMN.

I agree 100% regarding DWS being Hill-awry’s girl. Thought about that several times; she was prepping for 2016 and that was it!

Yeah, I saw this earlier, but I have no idea who this Ben Jacobs is, nor how he got his “scoop”.

      Didn’t smell right to me…
