Useless talker. Honestly..I wonder how she gets up and looks herself in the mirror every day. So not answering a question is going to overshadow a trade agreement? Overshadow an agreement to extend visas for a hefty length of time? She’s a moron.

And the sad thing is that she speaks the truth. The media decides what the public gets as news. So not answering a question will be the news because they say so….. I want to throw up!!!!!!

Well, to those that will be impacted because of what the President agreed to while on this trip, Welker will be a blip of non existence. If they remember her, they will think about her pettiness, and it will overshadow any other important news she may have ever reported:)

I guess the GOP and MSM are wondering why they are having a hard time tarnishing PBO’s reputation with the international community. Maybe it’s because *they* are able to look past the foolishness and hone in on the things that matter.

      Excerpt from grist article:

      ——————————-
The White House release refers to these goals as statements of “intent.” They don’t promise or even “agree” to hit these targets, they merely “intend” to.

That may sound a little weak, but it’s necessary. Remember, foreign treaties require approval from a two-thirds supermajority of the U.S. Senate before they can be ratified. There’s no way Senate Republicans would vote for an emission-reduction treaty. But by merely jointly announcing with China their intentions, the Obama administration avoids signing an actual treaty. So the Senate can’t formally stop this agreement.

Good morning, Ms. Chips and TOD family!
    My, my, my…..what a President!
I missed all of yesterday here. But to wake up to this is just like Thanksgiving, Christmas in one package.
I am so proud of our President.
I am getting all teary eyes just thinking about how much he has accomplished and how hard he works for us.
Every day I meet people who do not know the wonderful things our President has done and keep doing because of this media refusal to report anything positive. We are the only ones who are able to shed some light on what is really happening.

I realize that we all here have to spread the word however and whenever we can about the tremendous tasks this man keeps pressing FOWARD for our generations that are coming. It is truly amazing.
Thank you everyone here for ALL you do.

Amazing what wonderful things happen while you sleep. Went to bed early with a pounding headache and woke up to wonderful news about a historic climate change deal with China, so I had to read every word of last night’s posts. What an incredible, breathtaking, brilliant leader we have in President Obama! Every single moment of his presidency must be savored by us from now on. The president is showing us that we don’t have time to get discouraged, we have to act every day as if our lives and our future depended on what we do. He’s moving on and getting it done in a big way and there isn’t anybody who’s going to stand in his way. The GOP and its media arm are hot air; he is action. I’m so grateful for last night’s wonderful tweets and I retweeted every one of them. I can’t wait to see what our president will do next.

THIS is exactly what Republicans rely on.

They’ve achieved their goals of 1) gutting education curriculums to keep people from LEARNING this stuff in the first place; and 2) controlling the media and keeping people too ignorant to care about what happens politically, keeping them overloaded on meaningless pop culture “reality”.

      • 38 jackiegrumbacher
        November 12, 2025 at 8:52 am

Meta, “can’t stomach” is truly an understatement. Our popular culture and the total absorption of Americans in utter trivialities nauseates me. I’m sure there has been a very high level of ignorance in this country since its inception, but in the last few decades, it’s been fed by the media and right wing billionaires who want to keep the populace fat, distracted and stupid. We are like ancient Romans preoccupied by bread and circuses, while the empire falls down around our ears. Our only source of decency and hope is our president who has to daily fight against massive tides of deliberate sabotage and treasonous sabotage, not to mention disgusting levels of racism, just to get something done.

I think that is precisely why, from the very outset, I got behind PBO in the first place: his intelligence and his bearings elevated the prospect for a phenomenal presidency. W, McCain and Romney reek of ignorance, arrogance and money; Hillary reeks of old-school entitlement, self-involvement and money. President Obama’s sincerity, calm and immense wisdom have pushed our nation into the 21st century. It is our country’s shame that so many fail to see it.

I am sooooooooooooooo thankful that in the midst of this country’s political apathy, *twice* voters became passionate enough, excited enough, alert enough to elect Barack Obama as President of the United States.

And I am extremely proud of President Obama for the previous successes of his administration, and for his continued successes as he shows us, and the world, what a true leader is; how to re-awaken hope when hope starts to fade; how to inspire the uninspired.

Since the results of the election last Tuesday, PBO’s attitude and actions have diluted the GOP’s satisfaction of their “successes” during the mid-terms. It is a delight to watch what seems like his daily poke at the GOP/MSM, reminding them that despite all their obstruction and attempts at suppression, they still failed at their number one goal to make Barack Obama a one-term President. And they are still failing in their attempts to out-strategize him [nomination of Loretta Lynch as Attorney General; announcement of Net Neutrality Objectives], and in their efforts to tarnish his reputation and diminish the respect and influence he has throughout the world [VISA Reform Agreement/Climate Change Agreement with China].

Thank you, SW. We should all have these quotes engraved, framed and featured prominently on our wall space so that we can take inspiration from them every day. Probably one person in several million has President Obama’s principles and dedication to action and even fewer live their lives by these precepts. That such an extraordinary man ran for and won the presidency twice ranks as one of this country’s finest achievements.

Kristen Welker is as detestable ad Chuck Todd, which I thought was impossible. Today Show tried to ignore U.S./China agreement until 2nd tier of news—-did not rate above the breaking news that it’s cold outside and the days old repeat story of the Seal Osama shooter. Welker mentioned the agreement as if she was mentioning that the 2 leaders had lunch, quickly moving on to a BUT—-lots they don’t agree on—-then on to gumgate, with video backup, and then my fave—-saying the Chinese media is talking about PBO’s loss of clout due to the huge losses in recent election. What?? I know our entire media tried to set up and pass on that narrative, but I have not seen any reports on this. It’s mostly/entirely wishful thinking by the U.S. media, trying to invent the news instead of just report it. Disgusting.

Until they get pushback in forums that are as far-reaching, they will continue to filter through the truth spout the lies and opinions as if they are fact. Social media can make a dent, but does not have the same reach, and often is a case of preaching to the choir.

I was out driving to a friend’s house last night and smack dab beside me, there was a pick up truck ( act surprised!) covered with bumper stickers. This guy was a Marine, loved his guns, his god and he said, his country. In the back window he had cut out a picture of PBO and taped it under a bumper sticker proclaiming him the “Worse President Ever”…..So many other sheeple just like him have no idea what this President has done for veterans, for individuals and for ordinary families…all across this country. The worst part is, they don’t CARE TO KNOW! OH! I almost forgot the most important bumper sticker on his truck! He proclaimed that he wasn’t a racist. Really? I think since he felt the need to plaster that on his truck, that’s all the proof you need! So, like him proclaiming all this non-knowledge all over his truck, for all the city to see….I came upon this from Bob Cesca and thought of Mr. Hilljack again this morning….

Dark Money Fuels Election Wins for Climate Deniers

    by Anastasia Pantsios

    ————————————

“The election may have changed the political dynamics in Washington, but it doesn’t change the science,” said Mindy Lubber, president of sustainable business group Ceres. “The reality of global warming and the need for urgent action remain an imperative. Business leaders understand this truth. Smart companies are making wise choices about their energy purchases and future operational planning in a carbon-constrained world.”

Just as congressional Democrats showed President Obama how they had his back with the ACA legislation (during and after), the environmental warriors (and other special interest progressive groups), by coming out to vote [snark], showed the President how much they had his back. The President received the message loud and clear; a message that in essence said, “You are on your own, so do things *your* way.”

  29. 72 hopefruit2
    November 12, 2025 at 9:15 am

Here’s a classic example of how the media loves to frame things so that people will take away the wrong message or come to wrong conclusions about what is going on.

In 2008 and 2012 respectively, 67 and 71% of Hispanics voted for PBO over his GOP opponent, so a poll in 2014 showing that 66% of Hispanics SEE a difference between PBO and the GOP on immigration is right on the money - it’s not far off from the margin of error that would lead to 67-71%. And despite all the MSM’s misinformation and distortions about immigration, along with the self-appointed Latino “activists” trying to murky the waters, it’s actually quite reassuring that Hispanics haven’t really budged on the immigration issue.

Yet the Pew Poll is pushing that 1/3 number in their headlines as if it’s a bright new significant result….

                November 12, 2025 at 10:55 am

Today is Pearl’s third birthday with us! A day of true joy. She’s been prancing around saying, “I’m a big little girl. I’m Three!”.

Of course, that’s three plus the 7 years she spent in deplorable conditions as a puppy mill breeder, but we are going with the fact that her life started three years ago, November 12.

Kasper is his usual naughty self. Nickelby was under the weather again this weekend but he’s better now. It’s hard to admit that he may be older than I think. He’s such a good boy.

When we first brought Pearl home, she didn’t know what good food was - she was suspicious and picky. So we’d pick up a rotisserie chicken and mix it with her food. Mr. 57 called it “Pearl chicken”. I think we should pick one up today, in celebration.

BTW, she’s not picky anymore! She knows how to weave through the boys to get into position to get a treat or two. She is an amazing spirit, that little yorkie. Good blue collar, working stock, those yorkies.

      Agree, PF58.

I think the GOP has learned their lesson from the shameful way John McCain treated Susan Rice.

Loretta Lynch has an impeccable record as a prosecutor (not a dithering lobbyist-fueled judge).

Even the GOP propaganda machine will turn on any racist, anti-feminist vitriol from the Senate.
