PBO arrives back in WH about 10PM tonight according to Chips on R & S. I am always glad when PBO is safely home, no matter how splendid his overseas trips are.

    What is ahead??

When will the St.Louis Grand Jury announce their decision?
When will The President announce his Executive Order on Immigration?
What will happen on November 24 re:US/Iran Nuclear Deal?

Sure to be a busy “lame(hahahahaha) duck” session.

Not again! Does no one in ISIL have a heart/soul/morals/feelings other than hate? God what must it be like to live in a group surrounded by heartless murderers like this!

Don’t be bothered by the ‘lame duck’ chatter in this piece of analysis, because some of the content is very important, to wit:

“In the recent talks in Oman with US Secretary of State John Kerry and outgoing European Union Foreign Minister Catherine Ashton, the Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei sent personal representatives to join in the talks—along with Foreign Minister Javad Zarif. The presence of personal representatives from Khamenei means that whatever deals were reached had the tacit input of the Supreme Leader and the Supreme National Security Council whose voice in the final talks is decisive. Had the Iranians been solely represented by Zarif, the possibility of a deal being struck and then vetoed by the Supreme Leader was a serious possibility. That danger is now, in effect, minimized.”

Really attending to every single detail to make sure that this agreement becomes reality. No sloppiness here, which goes to Sec Kerry’s brilliance here (and anyone else that is working on this) as well as PBO as the leader of this country and the one who’s orders are being followed to a tee. I hope this all comes to fruition as planned.

Good Evening Chips! Good Evening NW! Good Evening TOD Family!

Thank you sooooooo much for coverage of the G20 Summit, especially the spectacular reaction in Brisbane. So glad to see PBO’s plane touching down back home. Job well done, Mr. President.

On another note, I am watching the hilarity that is the McCain/Palin (Dumb & Dumber) 2008 campaign featured in the movie “Game Change.” It’s even more nutty to view it from the vantage point of two PBO terms. Gah, what a mess that was.

    Evening, all.

My techy geeky weekend went swimmingly. Now I only have to get rid of a low grade cold. Sighs. Waiting for a delivery of carnitas and then I’m snuggling into bed.

(No Chips, I won’t ask you for chicken soup. I know it’s traumatic for you.)

Aside for 3 hours when I was running errands for myself and Mother of LL, I’ve been in bed most of the day. Laundry can wait; I have enough clean clothing.

        Thanks, Chips. See y’all tomorrow.

Look after yourself LL, sleep well.

I’m not trying to pry, just concerned. Lib_L, have you ever checked why you get a bad throat, cold, or flu so often? At least it seems often to me, and makes me wonder if *you* have investigated to make sure that all is well overall.

You’re a sweetie, VC. Actually, it’s mostly during the winter months that I’m susceptible to colds. And really, right now I just feel “blah”, not a full blown cold. I started getting them when I began working with the public. Damned people and their germs.

Ok, more water, and off to nod.

A lot of us secretly wish this on some level, but at the same time we don’t want to seem selfish, and we want to see our President leave on a high note and have the freedom to pursue whatever he wants to do while he’s still young and vigorous! :)

I am selfish hf…but I do fear what will happen to our country when he leaves office….

There are times when I feel that way too prettyfoot58 and hopefruit2, wishing POTUS and FLOTUS could be President and our First Lady for six or more years. Then there are times when I feel like this country doesn’t deserve him, them. Then there are times when I feel POTUS have done his time, now it’s time to put his family first. Because as he said in that speech of his at Morehouse, his greatest legacy will be his daughters, when he is on his death bed what would cross his mind is not the policies he passed or the leaders he have met or the places he have travel, but what would cross his mind is the time with Michelle, his daughters. I might not have it word for word, but it was close to what he said.

So while French & Japanese journalists were covering the issues of the G20 - Major Garrett was taking in the sights and visiting the koalas - the US news media in action

” … Jeff Wittenburg, a journalist for French television network France Deux said their coverage was “100 per cent politics”.
“We were here to cover our president Francois Hollande’s meetings and visits,” he said.
Taichi Kono, a journalist for the network TV Asahi, said they did not focus on Brisbane.
“It’s important for us, the economic matters in G20,” he said.

Major Garrett, the White House Correspondent for CBS News in the United States, took time out during his visit to shoot a story about koalas. ”

Shame he couldn’t write a story about his President - which is what he is presumably paid to do!!!
