        Hey, VC

Sorry, didn’t know I had comments waiting for me.

Thank you very much for the support. I’m officially starting radiation on Tuesday. Today the staff just marked off the areas on my legs that will be treated.

wow, she is really bringing it. trying to not get too excited since it’s still a longshot, but i’ve been noticing that she’s been extra active since the midterms and seeing her mentioned more and more as a possible candidate. i really feel she (maybe o’malley too) are the only ones out there at the moment who can handle the insane “news media” and get people fired up enough to win in 2016. president obama brought her to the national stage, just as john kerry did for her, and she’s the perfect person to carry on his progress. she’s so incredibly smart and so good at explaining complex issues to people.

Imagine if the lilylivered Dems hadn’t had a conniption over PBO issuing his EO before midterms.

And imagine if my fellow Latinos hadn’t used the lack of an EO as an excuse to stay home.

Imagine if we as a nation actually lived up to the title “World’s greatest democracy” and participated in it as fervently as we do in fantasy sports leagues.

Yeah, I’m cranky. But I’m home now. Jammies on, warm socks on, cat litter done, and heading for the recliner. See everyone later. Congrats on furst, Nerdy.

        Thank you, jackie.

I told them what I thought about their 2014 tactics, including floating the Clinton dog whistles in AR, KY, GA; their atrocious demotivating emails; their inability to stand and be proud of PBO’s historic achievements; their reinforcement and promotion of erroneous RW myths about PBO’s popularity; their obvious decision not to change a thing as long as top leadership at DNC stays the same, their hideous vote on KXL.

            November 19, 2025 at 7:07 pm

Hi guys. I got the survey too. The first question, what did we do right, I responded that they sure did know how to scare us into donating. I then laid into them about what they did wrong, saying what you all said and in my last paragraph I said that they need to focus on the next two years of the President’s agenda, not the election in 2016, and, if Hillary Clinton was going to run in 2016, she better darned well get out there right now until 2016 and promote President Obama AND his agenda and the six years of his accomplishments. If she did not, I would not donate or campaign for her and that I am not a fan of Hillary Clinton (my choice is Martin O’Malley or Elizabeth Warren). And lastly, I said I thought Jon Tester should not be in a chair role as he does not vote with the President and that position dictates that he should be 100% behind the progressive agenda. They definitely got an ear full.

On the question on how to reach voters, I wrote.

“Embrace the President, support his policies and stand behind the accomplishments. Be vocal and visible to defend him against bullshit attacks.

Stop embracing racial politics. Grow a pair. Stand for something and stop being afraid to defend your position.

Voters care about policies not made for tv drama. Get out there, be specific on why voters should stay engaged and how the policies directly affects them.

Don’t get bogged down in bullshit drama. You can’t out crazy crazy. So don’t waste valuable time or resources trying.

On the next question on “how enthusiastic are you about the President and the Democratic Party”, that question should be separated if you want a true assessment. Please fix because that is a critical data point you need to fully understand the people’s point of view. POTUS won’t be here in 2016 so my instinct says you will find the majority are very enthusiastic toward POTUS but the dem party….not so much.

I am 100% behind my President. Very enthusiastic. I am 70% behind Pelosi, Reid, Boxer and maybe 3 more people in Congress. I am not enthusiastic at all about the rest of the poor excuses for Dems.

I also just finished filling out that survey. I said all the same things you good people did. They will get it with all barrels blazing. Hope they pay attention and take heed. I said what has been said on this blog, that PBO gave them the blueprint, and he is inclusive. I suggested they make their candidates memorize JFK’s statement on what a liberal is. Told them to stand up for liberal ideas, we do not want to go back to 1850.

I don’t normally get a chance to watch Josh vs. jackals, but could not believe what I saw today.

Attacks based on Boehner, Cruz and their own speculation.

JackieG was right yesterday about Obots’ gratitude for PBO’s exceptional demeanor, but Josh Ernest is only a few paces behind PBO in the department.

I did see the Burma presser (nighttime on the west coast) with Josh, Ben Rhodes and US Trade Rep Michael Forman. I’ve never seen such such uncouth, combative behavior (by the jackals) — and Ben, Josh and Michael were unflappably professional.

just amazing how childish these fake journalists have become. they go to that camera behind josh when he’s joking around with some people in the back, who are all laughing along with josh, and the front row people are giving him the evil eye the entire time. seems the entire exercise has devolved into just trying to find a snippet from years ago that might sound contradictory in some way to what’s said now, and then they can say “nyah nyah! got you!’ this whole room and process exists to help democracy work by informing the electorate, but now those “reporters” in there are failing their country and turning it into a meaningless exercise. there should be some sort of review process for admittance in there. these current propagandists have lost the privilege to be in there. just because they call themselves “journalists” does not mean they automatically are ones. you need to earn that title.

However, surgeon said not to stretch lip and so I shouldn’t have read the tweets. Impossible not to laugh!!!

So, to re-cap what our Beloved President has been up to during his not so lameduckery status:
    1) Climate change problem addressed? Check—deal with China and clear statement about the Keystone XL process continuing on its lengthy trip to not now and not ever. This is good news only for people who breathe.
    2) Immigration mess getting much needed attention? Check— We will be learning the details tomorrow. This is good news only for decent human beings who care about others.

There are probably more items but I invite TOD not ODing from motrim with codeine to add to my list.

PBO does not seem to be missing the DINOS at all. Nor care what they think or do. Let alone the media he has pointedly ignored with the Facebook announcement.

Hope you’re resting, but felt compelled to respond re: immigrants.

@RalstonReports has lots of inside info from a Las Vegas perspective, so am viewing his tweets.

One twit responded saying something about Las Vegas needing a lot of maids and gardeners, which caused my blood to boil.

When I was growing up, the joke was always about Japanese gardeners (Japanese American here).

Well, look at the children/grandchildren of those gardeners — most are professional men and women *because* their parents (i.e., “maids and gardeners”) placed a high value on education. I feel certain that the majority of recent immigrants, whether legal or not, have those same values — yet bigots seem to believe its better to have unparented young US citizens roaming the streets without access to education beyond high school or a military career.

      End of rant.

Boehner’s been on Capital Hill long enough to know that issuing an Immigration EO is nothing more than other presidents have done. He’s is going through this little theater of outrage to satisfy his rabid base and the insane extremists that are coming into Congress in January. He knows that if he doesn’t threaten and bully, he might not be chosen Speaker in the new Congress, so he’ll strut, fume, prepare more law suits and hold hearings. Our stupid, bought-and-paid for media also know this is not an extreme action on the part of PBO but they will feign ignorance in order to foment outrage in their right wing viewers, earn their $$ from their Republican bosses and get “attaboys” from Republican members of congress. It’s all a game to them and they could care less about real world consequences. The tweet about the NYT asking Michelle Bachman’s opinion on immigration is really a “tell.” The NYT does know better, but they’re deliberately pandering in order to enrage the left and earn points with the right. If the GOP thought they could ‘control’ our President, they are incapable of learning; if they think they can blackmail him they are doomed for disappointment; and if they think they can proceed with impeachment without drastic consequences for themselves, they are profoundly mistaken. I think the ones that have been around a long time actually know this, but they’re caught in this web of fear and have to deliver their performance whether they want to or not. The sad tragedy of our times is that we the people have to play all these bad actors for working against our best interests. To those who chose not to vote in 2012-YOU MADE THIS.

Boehner is German on his father’s side and Irish on his mother’s. Since property rights passed from generation to generation through male heirs, I’m going to always describe Boehner as GERMAN. I have decided to dispense with calling peeps white and instead will describe them in terms of their country of origin. Although it is white peeps who need to give up the word since it is part of what feeds the racism in this country.

… and finding the White House…

After reading the article again, my opinion is that the man should be charged with attempted murder because he was TOO CLOSE to the WH. Pure and simple.

WASHINGTON — The Secret Service arrested an Iowa man outside the White House on Wednesday who had a hunting rifle and ammunition in his car and said he had driven to Washington because someone told him to go to the White House, according to law enforcement officials.

Renae Kapheim, 41, of Davenport, Iowa, approached uniformed Secret Service officers on foot at 15th and E Streets, a block from the White House, at 12:54 p.m., according to the officials.

“He said that someone had told him that he should come to the White House so he had driven to Washington to do so,” said a senior law enforcement official. “The officers interviewed him there and realized that there needed to be further investigating because something wasn’t right.”

Mr. Kapheim consented to a search of his car, which was parked on 16th Street and Constitution Avenue. In the course of that search, the officers found a hunting rifle in his trunk, and the ammunition.

The officers arrested Mr. Kapheim on the spot, took him for additional questioning and seized his car, a 2013 Volkswagen Passat.

He has been charged with possession of an illegal firearm.

Dudette, I thought this EXACT same thing. Our family loves music. My kids play the double bass, cello, violin, guitar, drums, piano and they play in 5 different chamber and symphony orchestras to include jazz bands. I thought if we were close enough, we could travel to Ferguson and do this same thing and make a statement.

      Wow! this is great.

nospin! that is amazing! what a wonderful gift you’ve given your children, your community, and the world. my mind reels at the thought of coordinating all those lessons, instruments, sheet music, and practice times :) kudos and many thanks.

thanks Suzanne. You are right it is a lot of work…but they are dedicated. The bonus is that music is such a great way to give back. The kids have been doing little concerts at nursing homes, using their talents to raise funds for local charities, get food donations for local food banks, get donations of gifts for families during the holidays etc. since they were 6 years old and now that they are older (under 13) they coordinate their own events to support causes they care about.

I am so proud of that young violinist. Wonderful wonderful idea.

Figured I’d be able to TRY to catch up, a little bit anyways, before zonking out, so here I am!

Hi, TODobots! I’ve actually had to do some real work this week!

    ………………….
BTW, heard on the news in my car - twice today - that the “American people” are mostly in favour of the KYXL. Seems the pro’s only lost by one vote  Lots of mention that vote was close but no worries since the Repubs will be in control in the next session and there will be sure to be other votes. O, and yea the ” “American people” ” clearly mostly favour it. smh Honestly, I pity the people here who follow the news regularly, and get news like this which is really delivered in all sincerity and without evil intent.

      Hi, VC.

Wasn’t online at the right time yesterday to offer my condolences to you and your Father for the loss of your step-mother.

You missed the WHPC aka jackals today, basically being mouthpieces (or as some RWNJ tweeter says “mothpieces”) for GOP/Kochs.

Half of them seemed to have the same question — why is PBO “poisoning the well.” Really wish Josh could just say to them,”and that is different from the previous 6 years how?” Just the worst questions I’ve heard in my life — another white male boob asked about tarnishing PBO’s legacy.

Absolute CRICKETS about the bill the Senate voted down which would restrict NSA’s ability to gather consumer phone info. Yet 18 months ago, it was #Snowdenwald 24/7.

Arapaho, I miss the WHPC jackals (who only use their talking point of the day as handed down by their manipulators) even when I’m in the village and online. My stomach would revolt were I to try and watch them in action. Indeed, I find their behaviour insulting.

TY, on behalf of my father, my siblings and I.

Maybe they’re planning on hiring and want their employees to think of good candidates (whether currently citizens or not), LOL.
