I use Chrome, not IE, but I’ve had a few errors. It usually works ok when I try it again. I got an update earlier today and IE may have too. Maybe it did it automatically so you weren’t aware. Maybe buggy? If so, they’ll smooth it out. Good luck!

i saw some of josh earnest’s conference today, and i saw some of the next wave of republican talking points that have been pre-approved and programming loaded up into their robots, i.e. “the news reporters.” they realized they couldn’t keep going on the executive orders numbers with president obama, because the exalted reagan and bushes and so on, all did this in regard to immigration. so some female reporter who i never heard of kept pressing josh over and over about “how many people will this executive order affect” and various forms of this same idea. josh would point out hundreds of thousands were effected by some of the previous e.o.’s yet she just kept trying to get him to say millions of people now, as if there’s some magic number where the policies change from being okay, to not okay, and magically that crossing line will be right about where president obama’s actions lie. of course, that’s one of their favorite tricks since the population keeps rising, so republicans love to play with this on all sorts of issues as they never mention the rising population when they compare just the raw numbers over different eras. percentages are the key for understanding when comparing different generations.

These racists GOPers and their media allies just do not know what to do about PBO because he does not fit their idea of what a Black man should be and do. He has no personal interest in them nor does he want to be part of their inner circles; a working relationship is the only thing that he is interested in and he has shown them that if they cannot do this, he will casually brush them off and go on his own to do great things. They cannot stand the fact that they have no importance to him and that no matter what they do, the majority of the people here and abroad love and respect him. Chuck Hagel’s on my local PBS Charlie Rose show. I’ve loved Chuck since this Senate hearing, particularly his “For what??!!!” questions from around and about @8:40 - on.
One of the things Chuck Hagel just said to Charlie Rose was something like (not verbatim), in response to whether or not Congress is up to the task (after their poor record these last years):
“The three new issues we have now - Ebola, ISIS, and Russian aggression - are going to force all our leaders in Congress to project a new urgency and frame of reference.”
He declares himself an optimist, and I agree. He also said being an optimist makes it a whole lot easier to get up in the morning! He’s still going, and it was a great interview, from my POV.
My three favorite men in D.C. politics are the President, the Vice President, and the Defense Secretary. I’m sure if they knew, they’d be thrilled. Ha!
i can’t think of any republican in my lifetime who has done anything even remotely close to what president obama has done to include the opposing party in his administration (ray lahood, chuck hagel, judd gregg (who refused it), etc), that it’s literally crazy talk when “the news” people go on and on about how president obama needs to reach out more to republicans. not fake figureheads such as joe lieberman as a supposed democrat, but real, bona fide republicans. and still every single week, “the news” incessantly says president obama needs to “reach across the aisle” and similar nonsense.
It’s all nonsense. And none of them actually understand President Obama, because they left their dull brains back in the last century!
No question that the day has arrived when all most all of the billions of humans on this planet are not only able to express their sentiments about any situation, but they also are readily enabled to share those sentiments with everyone.
Leveraging the implications of that extent of connectivity must be won by those who value each person’s life just as passionately as President Lincoln did 150 years ago today (11/19), and President Obama does, every day of his life.

I just read the precious, profound tribute by Chipstix to Uncle J, and I want to say how deeply moving it was, and how much it means to me to know of such a person, such a great spirit, such a life lived with compassion and courage and kindness. What a gift, to have had him walking on this earth for a time, and what a gift to know he has gone home. I loved the note about his delight in Pope Francis — he knew was leaving the place in good hands, and could rest. So sorry for this great loss to you and your family, and all those he touched. You’re in my heart and prayers, and thank you for sharing your heart and his goodness with your TOD family.
