I guess we can expect the same actions that has happened the last 6 years; Dems in power, they constantly invite and highlight Repubs on the talk shows. Repubs in power - they constantly invite and highlight Repubs on the talk shows.
      “Liberal” media, my ass.

    Good Morning, Everyone :)

Morning all. I hope our president has planned some down time in Nevada so he can chill out after a long week. This is a busy day. Our state party has taken an interest in our Latino Outreach Initiative and we’re meeting with other counties to talk about what we do here. This will lead to a Latino Caucus at the state committee and maybe some coordinated outreach to PA Latinos. We can only hope. The Congress critters will be on vacation next week, so I hope the President can enjoy his Thanksgiving in peace. Have a great day!

GM all. It has been a roller coaster ride these last few weeks, and I don’t expect it to level out any time soon, so buckle in.

Well, as expected, none of the network weekend morning shows covered the Benghazi report finding no wrong doing by the Administration. However, they all covered “Obama secretly extends troops stay in Afghanistan”. After 2 fucking years of constant headlines, hearings and hair on fire. I simply want to go outside and SCREAM!

I don’t think it’s a coincidence that this news is leaked right now, just after President Obama has delivered a punch in the face of the GOP with the EO order on immigration.

Republican strategists were mad as hell this week; behind the scenes some of their strategists have admitted the president put them in a very difficult position.

And surprise, surprise, just a couple of days after that, this news about Afghanistan is leaked.

I’ve observed, many times during his presidency, when he has a particularly good week, “something” happens quickly after that. A new controversy, an embarrassing event is brought up to light, etc.

I’m not saying these should not been made public and shouldn’t be discussed. What I’m suspicious about is the TIMING . After a good week, or a political victory of the President, the media always comes up with something to shift the momentum back to negativity for the president.

What I suspect: coordination between the GOP and its moles within the administration. They wait for the “optimal” moment for leaking stuff to the media.

Good morning Ms. Chips, Danny and TOD family, I hope all is well with everyone this lovely Saturday morning. Congrats Ms. Chips, on being first to open your own store for your wonderful customers. :) :) :) To all, have a marvelous magnificent day.

Thank God that President Obama is still the President of The United States of America.

Just peeking in from my flu bed to say good morning TOD and happy Saturday to all of you. Most concerned about Ferguson now and what will happen there, seems to be no one in charge who truly cares about Michael Brown.

Sherijr, I hope you feel better. I am still debating on whether to take the flu shot. Everyone I ask have different opinions.
Please know that I feel the same way a our Ferguson and then I read Romans 8:28.
Thank God we have.a President who encourages me to hold on to my faith. Others say it but it is empty because it does not come from their hearts only heir mouths.
Whenever our President reminds me “Scripture says,” I am hopeful, prayerful, peaceful. Not because he says it, but I feel that he believes it, speaks it and lives it.
I know that Michael Brown’s life was not in vain. I believe that with all of my heart.

Good morning Ms. Chips and TOD family!
    Furst again, Ms. Chips?
I fell asleep catching up on all the good posts here and I just want to add that every day just gets sweeter and sweeter when you have President Obama on the WH. I know it is selfish to wish another term but I just can’t help myself. This has been some of the best days of my life waking up simply grateful. Sometimes I feel it is a dream and I will wake up and I just imagine all of this goodness.
But then I come here and All Is Well……..
Thank you all for keeping me smiling, peaceful and amazingly grateful!
Welcome home AMK. We need each other here more than ever.
    Have a great day everyone!

I hope the President gets in some good rounds of golf this weekend before heading back to the cesspool of D.C. Breathe some clean air, joke with friends, laugh, eat some good food, sleep well…….secure in the knowledge that a HUGE majority of people support his EO on immigration, and that he is loved by the people of this country.
    So thankful he is president.

Good morning, Chips and TODers!! I hope everyone is warm and cozy on this Saturday morning.

It’s raaaaiiinnnnninnnngggg again this morning in Northern California!!!! We’ve had one day with a downpour, another day with intermittent showers and today it’s a steady shower - beyond fabulous! I’d forgotten what rain sounds like, what it smells like. Forgot what my raincoat looked like. I’m blissed out!!

    • November 22, 2025 at 9:25 am

:-) A rainy good morning to ya Meta - if you love it that much, you seriously need to move to Ireland: bucketloads of the stuff every day!!

        Haahahaa, no, not every day!

It’s just that CA is so parched, so much of our agriculture vulnerable, our reservoirs dry. We need every drop and it still won’t help.

GM Chips and TOD. Meta send some of your rain down to SoCal. We only had a small sprinkle Thursday night. :)

Does anyone know why PBO spent the night in Nevada? What’s going on today or tomorrow?

    • November 22, 2025 at 9:30 am

Hiya Meta, not sure, just saw that he has no events scheduled. Of course, Count Knoller made some snarky comment about there being golf courses near by - I hope PBO plays 97 rounds!

I don’t know, meta, but I hope golf is involved.

What a few weeks we and Our President have had.
      Immigration EO. Huge success.

I watched Rachel the last 2 nights and it was amazing what she did.
She sounded like all of us.
After the East Room EO announcement Rachel showed what the networks chose to air rather than as she put it “the most important thing to happen on immigration in more than 25 years.” The screen showed ABC NBC and CBS regular programming. All the inane dumb stuff normally on at 8 o’clock. Rachel mocked the networks with the amount of disrespect they have earned.
The next night Rachel was again singing PBO’s praises. For the full hour. Not a miserable Andrea or Upchuck in sight.

I’d like to think this will mark a change for the better for Ms. Maddow. Time will tell.

The utter repudiation of the Benghazi crap also made me smile. However, the damage inflicted by Issa and the rest of them lives on in the endless narrative the country has been fed to turn folks against our President.

Uncovering the Lies doesn’t heal the damage done.

I am convinced that the military sales and armaments companies are fueling the insane build-up of equipment and personnel in Ferguson. Foreign wars winding down, gotta sell all that fancy stuff somewhere’s.
Boondoggle—Taxpayer money funneled to arms manufacturers. Private contracters are also cleaning up in MO now.
An investigative person might check Jay Nixon’s campaign funders and job aspirations after his governorship is up. Boeing, maybe?
Just a thought. Not a claim.

        November 22, 2025 at 9:59 am

Nice to hear Maddow comes to her sense every once in a while. Anyone who didn’t notice the glaring disrespect of our POTUS by the networks doesn’t have a pulse.

BTW, I know you’re interested in Gitmo stats. If you’re on twitter, follow @carolrosenberg She reports from there.

Thanks for the tip about gitmo and more about Rachel….She also did an extended piece ridiculing the GOP. Specifically how angry they were about the EO and what they actually did about it.
Which was to go home. Yes, again on vacay. until deep in December.
          Angry and entirely impotent.
          Way to go, PBO

    MooOOOrning, Chiparoo and TOD.

Meta has wonderful rain that she loves. We’re bracing for heavy rains, thunderstorms, tornadoes, hail, and all around BAD weather. News stations are updating every five minutes it seems.

    Nature’s crazy that way.

Have a great day, TOD! :)
