Breakthrough on Iran: President Obama Defies Odds, Defines the True Audacity of Hope
As Vice President Biden would say, this is a big fucking deal.
This morning, outlines were announced for a deal between Iran and global powers led by the United States that would address Iran’s nuclear program - effectively cutting it down by two-thirds and then freezing it for at least 15 years, as well as putting a nuclear weapon out of Iran’s reach for at least that amount of time. In what is likely to be a superbly effective enforcement and inspection regime, Iran’s nuclear program will be completely open to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), which can at any time demand to investigate any facility in Iran, regardless of whether Iran discloses said facility, and regardless of whether Iran classifies the facility as having any link to their nuclear program.
The full outlines are available at the State Department website, but here are the key details that make this deal a historic, breakthrough and yet concrete and quantifiable agreement towards neutralizing the threat of a potentially nuclear Iran.

President Obama accomplishes in one week what many presidents take years to achieve, if ever. I have never known any president so fully committed to getting positive things done as PBO. Whatever his critics will say, they can neither keep up with him or understand the depth and breadth of his vision.

So Why are “Jobsreport” and “126,000 in March” trending on Twitter (when jobs report never trended in past months), and the Iran deal is NO LONGER trending?!?!
Jobs numbers weren’t as good as past months, so they want to talk about that and get the great news of the Iran deal push back.

I know! Listening to NPR this morning with the lowest in the last 15 months take on it as well as half what the predictions were for commentary would give a totally negative spin on an increase of jobs report. They threw in at the end that there was a slight increase in wages and no change in the unemployment percentage. Ya think! Since when would an increase in jobs make the unemployment percent increase? When did we start measuring positives in whether they reached what so called expert guessers thought they would? The media has been framing news in a way they can make it sound negative in quite awhile now. Up is up! Quit spinning the facts, Media. There was one commentary journalist interviewing a financial person trying to get him to agree with his negative take on the numbers. I had to smile when the financial person did not take the bait. NPR has gone to the dark side. Boo.

Apparently (per Wikipedia), Iran is a signee of the Non-Proliferation Treaty (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Treaty_on_the_Non-Proliferation_of_Nuclear_Weapons).
Does anyone know if the “deal” asks/offers Iran anything “above” the standard obligations with respect to this treaty ?
According to the Wikipedia article:
“Iran is a party to the NPT but was found in non-compliance with its NPT safeguards agreement and the status of its nuclear program remains in dispute.”

I just don’t see any politician on the horizon that can equal or exceed President Obama’s accomplishments. To be honest the Democrats that might run seem at best to be weak sauce. As a lifelong Democrat whom do I vote for in 2016? Which Democrat presently speaking has the vision of a President Obama? From healthcare to the auto industry to marriage equality to Cuba to Iran to Syria, which Democrat would have taken on those issues? Biden, Hillary, O’Malley, or whomever, which Democrat can take us to a place that Barack Obama has taken us?
He is an unique blend of smarts, personality, intelligence, charisma and honesty. Uncle joe is the only one that comes closest.

I think it’s foolish to read too much into one report whether it’s really good or not so great. Last year during the first quarter the economy was going back and forth but job growth expanded through out the year. I think we will see the same thing this year.

Whenever Tom Cotton and all the others who are against talking to Iran go on tv running their mouth, I would love to see the media ask them what are their solution to keeping Iran from having nuclear weapons? Is it starting another war in the Middle East? Just give the American people some answers. I don’t expect FOX to act like journalists, but it would be nice to see the rest of the media act like it.

This year there are going to be many thousands of baby boomers born in 1950 like my brother who will be going on SS and Medicare year and are leaving jobs. I see many more entry level job openings and I think this year is going to really open up for collage graduates. There are just fewer job seekers right now until graduating seniors graduate then you will see a huge uptick in the number of jobs. Many people have left jobs due to the ACA and have either started their own business or have gone back to school. Just my opinion.
