Well, Vicki, I did read your comment and was thrilled with the unemployment numbers. You are so right about the media, which tries so hard to spin bad news out of good.
The Unemployment number dipped to 276,000 from 284,000 last week.
Thereby depriving our propaganda media from the headline they surely would have written:’Unemployment Soars” had the direction been reversed.
Fact is that there were many years I wondered if the UE# would ever get below 300,000 again. Bravo, PBO!!!!!
Well, the battle is over. Around 6:30 a.m. yesterday, my husband took his last breath as I talked to him about my son and his two daughters, our children. We were at home when he passed. Today, with a heavy heart, I run my son to school in Baton Rouge for orientation tomorrow. But I am blessed that my sister and two cousins will be traveling with me.
He was very fond of this place, after I turned him on to TOD. He never commented, but he came here everyday to read up and he loved it. He even turned his brother, who lives in Texas, on to TOD.
Thank you my friends for being my sounding board over the years as we grappled with his struggles with this illness.
Africa, thank you for letting us know that your beloved husband has transitioned to a peaceful place of no pain. Best wishes to your son at Southern. We send you love and hugs ❤️
Kate, I am so, so sorry for your terrible, heartbreaking loss. I hope you have family and friends who’ll help you through this difficult time and I hope you rely on the support and love of the TOD family.
Africa, thank you for being with us here today and for letting us know about your husband. I offer my condolences to you and the rest of your family. I am glad that your beloved husband found some joy and refuge in this wonderful oasis that is TOD.
As you send your son off to begin the next stage of his life, I send comforting and positive thoughts to him. May the universe wrap him up in a big hug. May his time there be safe, happy, and worthwhile. May he know success in his life and may you always continue to be as proud of him as you’ve always been.
I also send comforting thoughts to your husband’s daughters. May they forever hold him close and one day smile instead of crying when they think of him.
As you lay your husband to rest and he rests in eternal peace, please know that TOD is always here for you.
Kate, my heart is with you and your family. May your beloved husband rest in peace. And may you find a sense of peace in time.
I’m so thrilled your husband was able to join us here as we lift up our POTUS and FLOTUS with love and honor. It’s wonderful that he found some joy here as we do.
I know your son begins this new chapter with a heavy heart but I do hope he is able to find solace in the building of this next stage of his young life. I’m relieved to know you’ll have some very good company as you travel. Please be safe in your journey. We are all here for you when you return.
May God comfort you and yours and continue to give you the strength that has sustained you during this long battle. May your dear husband rest in peace. My heart especially goes out to your son who is beginning a new stage in his life with sorrow and hope. My thoughts and prayers will be with you.
You and your family are in my constant thoughts and prayers. You are loved, you are supported by those whose faces you treasure and the many hearts and souls who are part of this community.
Dearest africa….so sad to hear of this deep, deep loss. This hole in your heart, You have to hold tight to the memories that you made together and see him in your beautiful children. This has been a long, long battle for your family, He’s at peace now and one day soon, you will be too.
Your son will go off to college and find his path and make you proud. I wish him all the best on this part of life’s journey.
For you and your family, I ask for strength and time to heal from the hurt. Big hugs and love to all of you. When you’re ready to come back here, we are always here for you. Take the time you need to grieve. The door is always open here. Much love always. {{{africa}}}
Oh Kate, I only just saw your message, my heart goes out to you and your son, may your husband rest in peace and may you have the strength to help through this painful time. Endless love to you, we’ll all be thinking of you, take good care of yourself.

Kate
I am here two or three if not more times a day. I offer my condolences to you and your family. May you gather strength from your family and friends.May your memories and the time that you shared sustain you in this transition. Abundant peace to you.

Oh, Kate, this tweet comes from the very depth of your heart and your question is the one each of us have to ask during
a time of unimaginable loss. This is such a hard path for you to walk. Please know that our hearts and prayers are with you.
It’s a new chapter for you.
Embrace the good memories, they will confort you.
You will laugh, smile, and yes - cry.
There is not one day that goes by that I don’t think of my husband. Not one. It’s been 4 years now and I miss him so.
The circumstance of his death was different. I am so so jealous of you that you were there with yours; talking to him as he passed away.
It gets easier as time goes on. My advice is to find a grief counseling group just to talk to others. Sometimes it’s hard to express things with those around you because you don’t want to make them sad or uncomfortable or even to bore them.
Kate, as you travel on (to Baton Rouge and beyond) with your son and daughters, know that you are traveling with family and friends both seen and unseen. As others have said, we’ll be here for you as well. May your memories buffer you and the ‘children’, and may you all find comfort and love in the knowledge that your husband brought you all together and will always be with each of you! Hang tough, weep, laugh at the great memories, do whatever you need to do to help you through this time of intense loss. I wish you all that you need in full measure! {{{Kate-Africa}}}
MAY GOD BE WITH YOU EVERY STEP OF THE WAY…IN HIS HANDS…YOU ARE NEVER ALONE…THAT IS MY COMFORT…LET IT BE YOURS…BLESS YOU MY FRIEND WITH MY FAVORITE NAME…………………
Great story of the Selma speech and President Obama’s sense of American exceptionalism. He embraces the dark side and celebrates the long push for justice, equality, perfecting our union.
Kate, I am so sorry for your loss. Please take comfort in knowing that he’s in a better place free of pain, and watching over you and your children. May his soul rest in eternal peace. Remain bless, and take care.
Kate, my heart goes out to you and your family at this difficult time. May knowing you’re in the hearts and thoughts of others help you through this time of sorrow.
Dear Kate, So very sorry for your loss. May your sweet memories bring you peace and comfort and eventually smiles. I echo what trump dog suggested: grief support group. If you can find a good one, it will be such a huge help. Blessings, friend.
Dear Kate, I join the others in assuring you that you will be in my prayers and thoughts as you travel this difficult journey. So glad you were with him. Your love for him shone in everything you wrote, and I know he knew how deep your love for him was. He left on the wings of that love.

Attention, Meta! Hopefully, these will give you some more ammo on TPP deniers 😎
This is the world that the Duggars live and thrive in, a world where a certified child molester can have his picture taken with almost every Republican candidate for President. In the Duggars world every perversion can be overlooked and explained away, the greater the depravity, the better the chance of it being forgiven. But don’t you dare ask for food stamps to feed your hungry children, and if you’re gay you had better stay in the closet, god doesn’t smile on the gays and poor in the Duggars’ world.
Me!!!!!!!
Yes! It is You!! Thank you. We were a little restless over there.
😆 Thanks a gazillion Nerdy, I had to go out early and thought I’d be back an hour ago - you’re the best, legend!!
Congratulations, Nerdy. Thank you the fantastic tweets last night and in fact, whenever you do them
Good Thursday, Chipsticks…TOD Family!!!
furst.
pre-furst.
These parents are vile.
creepy is too soft a word to describe this family.
The word is Criminal..
Correct. Why isn’t that creepy son behind bars?
Huff Puff has this in the ” Entertainment ” section…instead of the Criminal Section…..
That says it all about all forms of media in Amerika
Hmmmm. I’m *very* suspicious about this roll-out!

Anyhoo - GOOD DAY, all TODobots! Life’s good!
Funny how these so-called Christians proclaim themselves saved. It’s the ultimate arrogance…and so convenient to absolve themselves of ANYTHING.
Keeping my unbeaten record of last entry posted on previous thread!
Good morning Nerdy and TOD.

Good morning, TODville.
ICYMI, FLOTUS is doing quite a lot to help nature:
I wonder what did FLOTUS say to make the little boy and girl laugh like that? It’s so cute.
Dear Kate, I join the others in assuring you that you will be in my prayers and thoughts as you travel this difficult journey. So glad you were with him. Your love for him shone in everything you wrote, and I know he knew how deep your love for him was. He left on the wings of that love.

They are despicable. I didn’t realize how politically active they were. Can we now assume that TLC has a Christian Right agenda?
I will not watch the station again.
