Judith, I’m sure Jill is the key to his decision. She isn’t crazy about the limelight and she’s very aware of the stresses of a presidential campaign. But I think one of the reasons we’re seeing such a buoyant president these days is because he believes that Biden will run and that will mean that all of his hard work and his vision for America’s future will be in good hands. I certainly pray that VP Biden takes the big step. Millions of us would breathe a sigh of relief.

Wisconsin is like a family member that stumbled, got into trouble and temporarily lost his/her way. If the state hadn’t been corrupted by the Koch Brothers and had elected a Dem governor four years ago, it would be a healthy, thriving blue state. Instead, all of its systems are crumbling and its demented half-wit of a governor is regarded as a serious Republican contender for the presidency. I think there’s a powerful instinct among Democrats to want to shake the state awake and get it to act in its own interest again.

Hello amk - just an update on my 1st world problem.
Repairman came today. He discovered there is a switch controlling the water levels. Came with new switch and new mother board.
Replaced switch - no change
replaced mother board - no change
checked your water valve - no change
used the google - ahhhhhhhhh - someone suggested the error may be a heating problem, and many other people explained what one should do with this particular brand/model of dishwasher
ordered a replacement switch for the heater unit - be back in a week or two
sigh
Well, as I said, take the hamm…. never mind.
I am quite sure if the next try doesn’t work, the repairman will use said hammer on said machine. Why do I feel guilty because the machine is a lemon? Ah - I was the one who purchased same.

As you all know, I’m a stutterer. This young man’s story touched me on a deeply personal level. I’m glad Uncle Joe was able to give him a push, and that Skip did all the hard work to make his dreams come true.
And the fact that Joe is a stutterer. As if I couldn’t love him more.
I did not know tha and I wouldn’t have from meeting you. I had a student who stuttered and encouraged him to present in front of the class, first as part of a group, later by himself. By the end of the year, he was doing so well you could hardly tell. I was so proud of him for trying. I love Joe and hope he runs.

Wow - yes he did. This was actually not an OFA event (can’t do partisan campaigning), but one of my fellow team leaders and I were tapped to speak about grassroots volunteer work at a Merkley re-election event as leaders in a different organization called Ladies in Blue (which can do campaign events). VP Joe Biden was the headliners and enjoyed doing the rope line. Kathy and I got hugs and kisses!

I thought of another argument for Biden over Sanders. I heard an Obama supporter say Biden was too old for the presidency. Well, I just looked up both of their birth years. BS (just realized those initials) was born in 1941 and JB was born in 1942. So if someone tells you Biden is too old, but is leaning towards Bernie tell them Bernie is older by a year.
