President Obama has stated more than once that if he ran again he would win. President Obama isn’t prone to bouts of arrogance or being conceited, so I wonder at times why he makes those statements. I think if Joe Biden runs and President Obama backs him Joe would win. President Obama saying he would win if he ran again doesn’t help anyone but Joe Biden. I think that Joe would assuredly carry on the work of President Obama if he’s elected because all of the other Democratic candidates seem to run away from President Obama’s record, Joe wouldn’t.

A Memphis cop was shot and killed during a traffic stop and the Black (Uncle Tom) police chief said some nonsense about all lives matter. I don’t know the race of the shooter (the manhunt is ongoing), but don’t understand the cops and the devils they serve being so offended by the Black Lives Matter slogan. Prosecutors do not fail to bring charges against cop killers nor do juries let cop killers get away with murder. The U.S. Constitution does not endorse or condone group punishment, but the police seem to be endorsing the view that since some criminals are Black, all Black people have to suffer the consequences. How come all white people don’t have to suffer for the offenses of white criminals? Is a Black person justified in murdering an “innocent” white person for the crimes of the white racial group? Do the sons and daughters of white people have to pay the price for the crime perpetrated by unrelated members of their race? If group punishment is what they are advocating, are they willing to have their wives, daughters, sons and mothers pay the price for crimes or offenses committed by white folks? My questions are intended to highlight how absurd it is to be Black in America. In theory there is one law in this country. In practice, the U.S. Constitution does not apply to Black folks, and somehow this is supposed to be acceptable.
The Black Lives Matter debate reminds me of the You Didn’t Build That controversy the GOP blew up at their convention.

I love John Lewis.
Lots of wonderful stuff in this West Wing Week video (not surprisingly), but top highlights for me are the beaming 1000 megawatt smile from the little munchkin in the green top getting a hug from the President at 1:12 of the video (at the Kenyan Embassy families greeting him) and right at the very end when the President manages to get even the Secret Service agent just close by to laugh when he’s making fun of the “hair-net” Press crew.
It’s very rare you see the Secret Service guys smile, much less laugh when the president is joking.
