Thank You Nerdy W
Congrats, Donna!
Congrats Donna :)
What a fantastic selection that celebrate yet another history making day thanks to the Obama Administration!! Thank you NW!!
:)
Congrats, Baby O’Donna!
:)
Hearty congratulations, Donna!
Congrats DD4O
Nerdy, Thank you. I will enjoy the delicious treat you’ve posted above after I provide the TOD Updated late Friday Count:
We Have 30 Yes or definitely leaning Yes votes in favor of the Iran Deal
We need 34 to sustain PBO’s veto, should he be forced to veto a GOP No resolution.
There are 13 senators who are most likely to support the Deal. They are
Undecided—- Bennet Booker Cardin Casey Coons Donnelly Flake Heidtkamp Warner
Unclear, or no info—Cantwell Murray Mikulski Stabenow
Mark Warner has published an editorial in favor of the deal but hasn’t said a definite Yes.
Flake is a Repub.
Mikulski is not running again in 2016
(D) senators leaning No with Schumer who is a confirmed No—are Wyden Peters and Menendez
WaPo has Casey on the leaning NO list. Hope that changes.
I placed my calls to Casey’s office, but couldn’t get a confirmation yes or no. We need a lot of PA Dems to call both his Harrisburg and DC numbers.
YES! Please do call, PA TODers.
I call daily to DC & Philly offices. All of his regional offices should hear from us!

Wyden is up for re-election in very anti-war Oregon, but he doesn’t have any opposition yet and no primary opponent in sight. Liberal groups are pounding on him to support the Iran Deal. We have written a personal note to his chief campaign fund-raiser that any further donations from us will be contingent on a YES vote for the Iran Deal.
I see MoveOn is organizing now in Oregon to pressure Wyden. I wrote a guest post on BlueOregon but don’t know yet if they will publish. Wyden definitely needs to be primaries. He thinks he can diss his constituents in favor of Netanyahu, he’s got another thing coming.
Yes!
Have no intention of letting up on this dude ….
bbl …. in a few hours …
btw … #DiplomacyHasConsequences
Mr. Bobfr, please don’t.
He has shown as too many times playing politics is a game to him.
Hell, he just might as well go to the “Dark Side” GOP.
Wow.
NW - “An” I’m begging. :D
Did you see this Tally?
YES!!!! Damn we’re pretty!
:) yes we are. By the way the guy who we danced with emailed other places we can Salsa. He was so nice. I had a lot of fun.

Don’t care. Drives me nuts. :P
(I think it’s who you were, where you were, when. And when you learned it! But I get what you’re sayin’.)
Beautiful wonderful round-up. How do you do it, NerdyWonka? No answer needed — it’s impossible and yet you do it and brilliantly and then do it all again. Endless gratitude and bountiful praise upon you. So glad Ms. Chips could retreat to the seaside. You keep us going.
Thank you very much, Nancie.
What a fabulous day. Thanks NW!
:)
What a perfect collection of photos of another historic triumph in the great presidency of Barack Obama! I shudder to think how many years we would have continued to maintain a hostile relationship with Cuba if PBO had not decided to change the outmoded, cold war paradigm that defined US/Cuba relations. The GOP candidates mouthing idiotic complaints about this improved relationship sound like mindless, out-of-touch, sepia-toned relics of the past. The world is changing at phenomenal speed and these morons can’t keep up. On a related note, I hope that the time will soon come when we can spend a little $$ to build a less hideous looking embassy in Havana. This monstrosity is an eyesore!
:)
He may win the GOP nomination - but not the general…
Trump is a disgusting arrogant racists sexists loud mouth bully.
And if the racists Republicans want him they can have him, but the sane the decent common sense Americans, do not want him.
I see how everyone of the candidates are running around attacking POTUS, they are not running against POTUS they are running against that racists loud mouth Trump, but they are afraid to go after Trump.
hope he does win the GOP nomination
Thanks Legend Nerdy for this excellent post - featuring this historic event! This is great day for the US, for SOS Kerry, PBO and most importantly for the people of Cuba.
:)
Fantastic Copious Newsy Tweets, NW.
What a Great Historic Day! Time after Time, Pres Obama and his Team continue to deliver.
Congrats Donna, Au :star: looks good on You ;)
:)
Heads up … profanity and such in this … this is why we can’t have nice things.
Racists Tea Party supporter.
Numbers DON’T LIE, unless you are the US News Media or the GOPers
Facts have Liberal Bias.
Later TOD ;)
SoS Kerry is such a hard worker and a trooper!
I bet PBO is very proud of Mr. Kerry - as are we :-)
HEART TUGGING..WATCHING HAPPY CUBANS TODAY AND THE FLAG RAISING LEAVES ME SPEECHLESS…WHAT A BEAUTIFUL IDEA BRINGING THOSE SAME SOLDIERS BACK TO RAISE THE FLAG!…DOUBLY WONDERFUL!..I’M ON A 2 WEEK COUNTDOWN AND THEN I FLY OUTTA HERE!…YES………………………..I MAY JUST FORGET TO RETURN!..:)
Ahem, Chips.
Afternoon, all. Can barely catch my breath today. Busy at the book place. But, my vacay starts in 1 hour and 50 minutes.
I hope you have a great relaxing vacation. LL. Are you going away?
Nope, staycation.
That’s cool, too!
Keep up the good work Bobfr. Thanks alot.
Sanders, HRC, O’Malley, and the 17 Repubs….
Does anyone know or care to know what their summer reading lists, or Summer Spotify playlists are? Just asking for a friend…
meta, I don’t know or care to know. I doubt if Trump even read, unless it’s all about him.
I don’t care
Uhhhh…..NO!
http://www.actionnewsjax.com/ap/health/first-ladys-healthy-kids-director-aims-to-get-thin/nnJbT/
Jeb is now insisting that he’s a Washington outsider. He couldn’t be more ridiculous if he tried.
Dad was President, big brother was President and you are a Washington outsider. I thought he was the smarter brother. I’m starting to wonder.
I bet he cannot even spell Washington.
He is such an idiot!
They all are idiots, the entire 17 Republicans. I am willing to bet if President Obama were running against Donald Trump he would not be afraid to take Trump head on. I guess the reason they don’t take on Trump is because they are just like Trump and they don’t want to offend that racists base of theirs.
#44 is 54. It feels as if there is some seriously esoteric and metaphysical (energy behind form) that this significant occasion is taking place on a New Moon in Leo, 10 days after PBO turned 54. I just love love love it! <3 :bear: <3
A last comment from me tonight is an addendum to my count earlier.
We have 30 Yes votes.
34, the near goal, supports PBO’s veto.
30+13 maybes means we may reach a bigger goal which is 41 Yes votes meaning the No votes cannot get cloture and pass a resolution of opposition.
34 Yes stops the GOP After they vote against the Deal.
41 Yes votes stop the No vote in its tracks.
Thanks for your work on this, Vicki!
YW, Bill
Vicki, you are a treasure for doing this.
For Bill R, Judith & all our fellow TOD Oregonians ….
I hope Rev Al was not prematurely excited about Sen Booker …
IN_DEED #DiplomacyHasConsequences
Case in point …
Looks like Biden is inching closer to a run. Hope to see it!
Where is POTUS cap?
Good evening TOD! Well, Trump finally is making the GOP primary actually interesting. He just ripped both the bandage and the scab off of Jeb’s Iraq claims. Said it was an absolute mistake to go into Iraq, cost us thousands of lives, innumerable disabled vets and trillions of dollars only to upset the balance of power in the ME between Iraq and Iran. We enabled Iran to strengthen its influence by taking out Saddam Hussein and got nothing. He also said we had to leave. But of course, he also hit PBO which pissed me off but he just destroyed the Bushes in very clear cut language. Amazing. Just a fabulous GE ad for the Dems:-) He also went after the money and super pacs, saying there needs to be disclosure of donors. After this spectacle, my guess is that the GOP knives will be out in force very soon to try to bring him down.
While he was still Trump, he clearly has hired better staffers and is listening to them. He was more toned down and much more substantive than anything I’ve heard from him previously. Still nothing much on the policy front but said that is coming and I suspect it is. Based on what I saw tonight, he has decided he is in it to win it and the GOP now has an even bigger mess on its hands. I think he is ignorant on many fronts but he is not stupid and he has no qualms about taking out every other GOP candidate with a particular eye to Bush. I see this as all good. The more damage he does to Bush the better for the Dems. He also took on Fiorina and her dismal performance at HP. It was quite entertaining although he remains loathsome.
Foxfire. Yes. From Trump’s first announcement of his candidacy I said that he was extremely dangerous to his party because in between his bragging and self-aggrandizement he Told the Truth.
Yes, as you’ve noted, about the Iraq war and in great and accurate detail about how we not only lost the politics , but we lost the oil.
China and other Asian nations got 4 out of the 5 richest oil contracts and Royal Dutch Shell got the fifth.
USA shut out of first round completely.
If Trump continues in this vein I wonder what happens next?!? It surely seems like a scorched earth policy as far as the GOP.
The DNC distancing crap was a milder version of the destruction of a political party. Chuck Schumer.
I have no idea what happens next but I’d like to see the Dems rally around POTUS and his pick for his successor.
If ya’ll decide to read any article published on NOLA, 10 years after Katrina…please read Charlie Pierce’s Esquire column.
My reaction:
Thank you Charlie Pierce
