There is one thing we must never forget about the current campaign season with all the venom spewed by the Trump and the Trump” lites” who have the audacity to think they’re qualified to be president of the United States. President Obama has made it clear that he will “do all in his power to ensure a Democratic successor” and, as we have all learned in the last seven years, that power is formidable, even when things seem the darkest. You can be sure that any Democrat who wins the nomination in 2016 will get the full force of the President, our FLOTUS, and his supporters behind him or her. If that nominee is Hillary Clinton, she will have the most politically astute leader in history in her corner and he will spare no pain or burden to help her -even if she doesn’t actively seek his help. When the time comes that PBO asks us to help him ensure his legacy, I and millions like me, will not hesitate to act. That’s the power of Barack Obama and it will not go away just because his formal presidency comes to an end. So any Republican candidate who thinks he is NOT running against President Obama, has another think coming. He will be a powerful force in 2016!!!

Next fall, Viqueira will be old enough to cast her first vote. That has led her, like so many other young feminists, to think long and hard about what Clinton would—and wouldn’t—represent as the first woman president. “It’s nice to see a strong female candidate running for president,” Viqueira says, but she can’t help wishing it were a woman with a different track record. She’s particularly troubled by Clinton’s support of the 1996 welfare-reform bill her husband signed and of the Clinton-era crime-fighting legislation that, among other things, lengthened prison sentences for drug offenses. At best, she says, Clinton has been inconsistent on social-justice issues; at worst, she has been a hypocrite.
While Viqueira is hesitant to say she’ll vote for Clinton, she acknowledges that the limited options for progressive-minded voters will probably push her in that direction. But it bothers her to see Clinton held up as a model feminist: “I think it’s problematic to assume that just because she’s a woman, she’s the best spokesperson for all women.”

When he did this, Dems had a dominance in the Congress….over 300 in the House Seats and nearly 66 in the Senate.
Reagan Dems made this and Clean Energy impossible.
