….and ‘good day’ wherever you are. What a pleasure it is to open the door and be so welcomed! I haven’t a clue what’s posted as I was greeted with “Leave a comment’. :)
This was pointed out by Martin O’Malley yesterday in his speech to the DNC.
Good for Simon R. to make a tweet of it and good for you to bring it to us. MO’M said that the DNC doesn’t want the country to see and hear anything but the GOP.
The DNC delusion is that if H wins the nomination then she will beat whoever the GOP select.
Either their delusion or they want to lose.
What a lovely breakfast club this is! Brunch I guess, past 11 a.m. on the East Coast USA. Congratulations to vcprezofan2, a Fine First! Good morning, Chipsticks, without whom I would not be here getting what I need all day all night on so many levels thankful for TOD! Good morning, Don, source of wisdom, knowledge, and insight on the world and all therein. It looks like a glorious day and I am so eager to see this West Wing Week! I love seeing POTUS walking around, talking and visiting and at ease with people; these videos are a huge treat and gift. I love how he and his team have creatively gotten the truth of who they are and what they do and what it means out to the world, despite the petty, tacky, hypocritical and dishonest media outlets, who seem to pout over no longer being The Story. They don’t control it any more, and they never should have. We live in good high tech times where the Gatekeepers can’t control it any more.
We are currently at 20°C, which the google tells me is 68°F. :) Don’t tell anyone, but I’ve put away the barbecue and covered the deck chairs since I have no plans to be sitting outside for the rest of the *summer* and into the fall. :D
 Hey, cheer up, all is not lost! Others *are* barbecuing and having a feast all around me, and as much as I care to I enjoy the lovely smells. :D:D Since I’m not much of an outdoors person, and since offspring was heading back to school I made use of the extra pair of hands to help winterize stuff. All’s good!
Thanks Again TOD. You have made my cousin quite happy this morning.
Family update: I haven’t posted a picture of the grand girls of late because they are growing like weeds. People think they are 3 years old when we take them places and are shocked when we tell them they are only 20 months. This week was the first day of school for our area and the day care does something similar. After a summer break they bring the kids back and most have moved on to a different (class) because they have aged. Well the girls started their new class this week and their mom took a picture of them on the 1st day of (daycare) school. They were NOT feeling it. Samaya is one MAD sista!
LOL, Donna. Cute but oh so funny. Not feelin it is an understatement. Our granddaughter will be 5 Oct. 8. She is 46″ tall. People think she is 6 years old and have since she turned 4.
How cute is that photo! How sweet are they! It would be fun seeing their follow-on “first-day-of-school” photos, to see if their expressions change any!
Since my oldest (almost 25 now) granddaughter went to Kindergarten, I’ve been jotting down the grandkids’ first-day-of-school quotes. They alternate years when they do it willingly, so some of the quotes are a little short. Ha. But the funniest was when the second oldest started college and called me with her first-day-of-college quote! Good girl!
That is the most disgusting idea, among a gazillion, the effing GOP has had this campaign season. Well, give me a minute, because I could probably come up with many that are worse. We all could!
Gotta walk away from this for a bit … blood’s boiling!
My mind went to
a) Slaves were forced immigrants that were sold, traded and identified by a number.
b) Jews were tracked, killed and identified by a number.
Who’s next?
Hmmmm. Gx2, have you updated your life insurance policy recently? [Asking for a friend, because I notice you’ve been prodding the lioness er …. certain people …. quite often lately. ]
sometimes I wonder if these scumbags, posing as gop candidates are aware that the US has immigrants from all parts of the world and as you insult one immigrant group, others take it personally because they know that that toxic rhetoric includes them too;
more generally, an attack on immigrants is interpreted by all decent people as an attack on humanity
Long read. http://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2015/08/31/the-fearful-and-the-frustrated
Trump has succeeded in unleashing an old gene in American politics—the crude tribalism that Richard Hofstadter named “the paranoid style”—and, over the summer, it replicated like a runaway mutation. Whenever Americans have confronted the reshuffling of status and influence—the Great Migration, the end of Jim Crow, the end of a white majority—we succumb to the anti-democratic politics of absolutism, of a “conflict between absolute good and absolute evil,” in which, Hofstadter wrote, “the quality needed is not a willingness to compromise but the will to fight things out to a finish. Nothing but complete victory will do.” Trump was born to the part. “I’ll do nearly anything within legal bounds to win,” he wrote, in “The Art of the Deal.” “Sometimes, part of making a deal is denigrating your competition.” Trump, who long ago mastered the behavioral nudges that could herd the public into his casinos and onto his golf courses, looked so playful when he gave out Lindsey Graham’s cell-phone number that it was easy to miss just how malicious a gesture it truly was. It expressed the knowledge that, with a single utterance, he could subject an enemy to that most savage weapon of all: us.
I can’t remember seeing Sasha with her hair down - I like this 2014 pic.

Good morning TODville. We are back in Montana after a wonderful week in So Cal. So thankful for the opportunity to have dinner with some of the So Cal TOD folks. This is such a special way to meet new extended family. Now friends for life. Can’t wait for the DC trip. Can someone remind me of the dates we are holding, I forgot to write them down. Know it was around June 24, 2016..
I am so thankful to be home but being back in the smoke is awful. The University of Montana’s first football game is on ESPN 2. We play I am worried for the players in this smoke. Won’t be pretty watching it.
The fires are all around us and we are right in the air currents. Please pray for rain. We need to clear this out.
Donna, I love your cousin’s song and all the songs that continue to play on youtube. Sure do hope we can hear her while we are in DC.
Hope everyone has a beautiful clear fresh air, breathable day. Pray for us in the smokey areas.

Top of the morning and the post to you, VC! Congratulations!
Thanks, and have a great weekend, Judith!
Wow, DWS sure pulled off a big one here. ARGH.
I just that was the only week the Clintons would approve of.
This was pointed out by Martin O’Malley yesterday in his speech to the DNC.

Thanks, GxG, Nena and NancieMc. It *is* a beautiful (and cool) day in the neighourhood!
vc, as of the time (8:53 am) currently here in Monrovia, the temp is 82 F.
We are currently at 20°C, which the google tells me is 68°F. :) Don’t tell anyone, but I’ve put away the barbecue and covered the deck chairs since I have no plans to be sitting outside for the rest of the *summer* and into the fall. :D
Stay cool.
So sad. There are many days left to BBQ. Oh well.
 Hey, cheer up, all is not lost! Be advised, if the White House turns into the hands of the cray cray, I’ll be in Canada faster than the bullet train 😎
I don’t wish that on my U.S. friends and on the world, but should it happen, the B-B-Q will be here a-waiting! :D :D
Good to know! :D
Testing…..
Passed!
Maybe we could ALL live underground, next!

Hilarious, adorable all at the same time. What an absolute joy. Thanks for sharing.
I so very much admire Susan Rice!
A smart woman and fierce voice for human rights. Another superb choice by our President.
Wow.. that is an incredible story!
PBO, a president who touches lives day after day after day!
It Matters who We The People elect in our Gov’t.

wow, talk about a total psychopath.
And half of Americans are fine with this. An entire country full of sociopaths.
That’s the way to win the Latino vote.
ROTFL!!! This is to funny. :)
That is the most disgusting idea, among a gazillion, the effing GOP has had this campaign season. Well, give me a minute, because I could probably come up with many that are worse. We all could!
Gotta walk away from this for a bit … blood’s boiling!
Later.
This crude man could not run NJ and thank goodness, he will Never be POTUS.
As someone said all Republicans are the same, what Trump is saying all of them feel the same way.
My mind went to
a) Slaves were forced immigrants that were sold, traded and identified by a number.
b) Jews were tracked, killed and identified by a number.
Who’s next?
Chips, for tomorrow’s game - is 1600 BST, 8am my time PST????
Oh, this questions is not limited to an answer from Chips only - anyone who knows is invited to reply - please! :-)
I do believe it is, GGail - but you know my weakness in this area. :???:
Meanwhile, could we have a minute’s silence please for Chelsea’s title hopes? They lost again. At home to Crystal Palace. I. Am. Not. Making. It. Up.
Say that again, I don’t believe I read it correctly. Speak slowly this time. Chelsea. Lost. Again.
😳
Hmmmm. Gx2, have you updated your life insurance policy recently? [Asking for a friend, because I notice you’ve been prodding
the lionesser …. certain people …. quite often lately. ]Inorite? :D :D :D
FTR, I am standing waaay over on the other side of the village from you!
VC, come closer sweetie - let’s take a selfie together :D :D
From the Count: Sunny and 83°. President Obama is playing golf at @AndrewsAirForce.
By the time PBO is out of office, he’ll be so good at golf, that he’ll be able to sign up for a PGA Tour :-)

Sometimes, GCLinda, I’m convinced the scumbags are only aware of *their* worldview. It’s one reason they are unfit to govern.
