Thanks for the recap, Chips……..been M.I.A. and I’m always happy to know I can always count on the BT’s to fill me in!

Some randomness while I catch up on the week….

‘To make it easier to manage the mountain of tools you’ll usually find on a construction site, and to help deter theft, Dewalt is introducing a new line of Bluetooth rechargeable batteries that can be connected to a smartphone app for checking their charge status—or remotely disabling them. The brand’s new 20V MAX 2.0 Amp and 4.0 Amp lithium ion batteries pair with the free Android or iOS Dewalt Tool Connect app allowing jobsite managers to keep track of their battery inventory at a given location, keep an eye on charge levels, and remotely disable specific batteries, or all of them in range in one fell swoop. Which is a handy feature to help ensure tools aren’t being used once the work day is done, and to discourage thieves.

The app can serve as more than just a theft deterrent, though. Through automatic alerts users can be notified when a battery has been taken out of range, at which point the Tool Connect app can even automatically disable it until returned. There are also alerts for when a battery is about to die, or for when it’s done charging. There’s even the option to lend tools to others for a specified amount of time; if the battery’s not returned by the time the clock runs out, it will be automatically be disabled. Available come July for $99 and $139 for the 2.0 and 4.0 Amp versions respectively, the new batteries seem expensive, at least until the first time you catch someone trying to steal one. Then they’re worth every penny.’

What a great trip for PBO. He has done a lot and given us a side of him not seen for awhile. He was fun in Kenya but in Alaska he has been of the people.

‘India’s a vast country, but with a population over 1 billion humans their cities still don’t have space for the kind of gargantuan pickup trucks we get to drive here in America. So Polaris and Eicher Motors have combined forced to build the Multix for Indians to do the same things we do with F-150s. Polaris/Eicher plan on selling 60,000 Multix trucks this year, which come in MX closed-cab and AX+ golf cart style open variants starting at $3,638. If all goes well production is planned to double soon after.

The Multix is powered by a single-cylinder half-liter diesel engine that makes 20 lb-ft of torque and just shy of 10 horsepower. Still; the little truck has an 1,102 pound payload capacity with the doors off and nobody in it. Towing capacity is somewhere around yeah I don’t think so. A unique power-take-off-point called “X-PORT” is also part of the package, which kicks out 3 KW and Polaris/Eicher suggest might be used for “lighting homes and powering professional equipment such as drilling machines, DJ systems, water pumps and more.” Sounds like a kickass block party waiting to happen! …continued’

Gentle Request: Does any TODer have any fact-based info on Shell’s arctic drilling and PBO’s decision to allow it? Or can anyone link a site, or audio/video with information to counteract these attacks on PBO?

I’m sick and tired of seeing stuff in my TL from emos calling PBO a hypocrite on climate change, and attacking him on this issue. Nnow I’m seeing some “Emma Thompson” trending on Twitter because she has joined the “cause” against Shell drilling in the arctic. I need to start pushing back, promptly and aggressively on ALL of these emos and ALL THEIR BULLSHIT.

Thanks df - I will take a long and hard look at this and meta’s links, because this issue is another “public option” or “NSA” distraction attempting to take away from PBO’s current momentum on a wide range of important issues. We need to shut these worthless emoprogs up and shut them up for good. They are dangerous and uninformed. Not unlike their far-RW counterparts.

Everyone who still drives a car is a hypocrite. You can help destroy the oil companies by no longer buying oil and start walking. Don’t blame Obama for not “destroying” the oil companies if you still crave their product…..

As someone pointed out the other night, and rightly so…the petroleum products we use are not limited to gas and oil…they are what go into almost everything we use…including this computer we’re all using right now! Those leases were approved by GWB…PBO was obligated to let that happen but he made the rules more vastly more strict for Arctic exploration and drilling….

I know its Vox and of course they had to include Madam Pantsuit’s tweet that she wouldn’t of allowed it ( but she was for Keystone tho,) but it’s pretty good chronology of what’s taken place over the years leading up to today. And there are also links to other articles and Oceana’s report at the end that might be helpful.

        GM JO’B.

Thank you for your recent update about your son.

His strength, resilience and humor is inspiring. What a wonderful family you’ve raised!

Healing energy and thoughts to your son and to everyone in ((( JO’B family ))).

Comparing PBO to any other politician is a hopeless cause. Not since Nelson Mandela has a politician genuinely lit up at the sight of children, bursting with eagerness to see and interact with young people — it’s who he is, part of the fabric of his being (not the ridiculous “aloof” designation subscribed to in lockstep by our despicable MSM).

“As the pool waited for the president to make his way to the back of the store, Obama detoured, apparently distracted by a baby. Plans to meet up near the dairy case were abandoned, and the pool found Obama at the front of the store, bouncing the baby up and down in his arms. The baby’s mother looked on incredulously, apparently shocked to find the president at her local market.”

I found this article about her at Huff Po. Someone asked in an earlier thread who was backing her. This article says its Liberty Council, an anti-gay legal group. The article says she also wants to be removed from her position so she can claim religious persecution and become a martyr to the cause so they can fire up the religious conservatives in support of the GOP’ers.

The author, Michelangelo Signorile, is all for kicking her out of her job, and us not being afraid of the consequences,

“The moment we pull back, fearful of the supposed ramifications, we are giving fuel to bigots and allowing them to organize further. They’ll then have a foothold while we show weakness.”

Our PBO bringing posterity, hope, a respectful partnerships between various communities and the Fed. Gov. from sea to shining sea. This man worked so hard to become POTUS to get shit done and he has more than lived up to his promises. When you also figure in all of the hateful GOP obstruction and left-wing pie-in-the sky idiots, what he and his admin. have accomplished seems almost miraculous. As our VP Biden said years ago about PBO, he has a spine of steel and this big heart that never quits. I just love this man more and more each day and as so grateful to be a witness to and a beneficiary of his greatness. He looked like he enjoyed himself so much on this trip. So glad that he was able to combine serious work and a joyous time outdoors. I cannot wait to see footage of his time “running wild with Bear Grylls.”

Lawrence had Breaking News that a former Clinton staffer who set up her server will take the fifth upon testifying at the Senate about her emails. There may be a legitimate reason to do that, but the perception is you are not afraid to talk unless you are guilty of something. Does not sound good. This news could help Joe decide to get in.

    • 62 jacquelineoboomer
      September 2, 2025 at 11:55 pm

Sometimes, I think attorneys for the peripheral staffers advise them - as potential or named witnesses - to consider taking the fifth, because the Senate or House committee involved is looking for blood - and if they can’t get HRC, they’ll get the staffer. I didn’t hear this particular story, but I do agree the whole e-mail server issue is at the least a very bad distraction.

    • 63 idon
      September 3, 2025 at 12:12 am

Exactly. I think what it inyteresting about that is the staff is Pagliano who worked on Clinton’s 2008 campaign. Then he was hired by Clinton as a State Dept IT employee and his job was to set up her server. Now if you watched Maddow yesterday, she reported on three of HRC emails. One of them was from WH admin employee (not sure if it was State) but in it HRC is frustrated because she can’t get a copy of British PM’s statement on some country. Why” Because it was still in the classified system and the staffer told HRC he would not be able to access it had been reviewed by a group and moved over to the unclassified system. so here’s what I got from that. Clinton did not have access to the clasified email system. And she may have used Pagliano to create some sort of back door on her personal server so he could access the classified email system for her. If it’s something like that, I think pleading the 5th is a good idea.

    Good morning TOD.
NCLB! I would have loved for you to join me for a walk in Central Park yesterday.
    It was hot but beautiful!
I understand the Pope is coming to the park. I really want to see this Pope up close.
It is no coincidence that our President and the Pope have kindred hearts for a time such as this.
My sweet hour of prayers continuously for J’OB and Duduette loves ones.

POB’s visit to Alaska has me beaming with pride.
Thank you Ms. Chips and NW for sharing this love with us one picture at a time.

I as others here love this godly man who teaches love, honor, peace and forgiveness.
Got in last night to see that #IranDeal is moving FOWARD.
We want PEACE while Corey Booker saves another Kitty.(loved kittens and hates but he makes me sick right about now)
Just so disgusted with him and Charlie Rangel.
I don’t even want to start my day with hateful feelings.
