Why is it that the smartest opinions show up in political cartoons? Cartoonist have a few strokes to deliver a message and often hit it right on the nose. Pundits have columns of words or hours of airtime and continue to spew drivel.
Utterly corrupt. We still may make it but it is going to take more than 41. Casey and Coon have not been as belligerent as Manchin on having the “debate” so we’ll see. But I don’t know how much longer I can tolerate any of them:-)
Manchin is a Republican in everything except the “D” after his name. The problem with the Democratic “big tent” is we allow saboteurs and do nothing to keep them in the tent when it really counts.
WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) — West Virginia has a dubious distinction: Less than half of its adult civilians have a job.
State data compiled by the Labor Department show that West Virginia’s employment-to-population rate has fallen to 49.1% in January.
In December, Mississippi became the second state to have an employment-to-population rate below 50%, at 49.7%, but, by January, that state’s figure had edged up to exactly 50%.
The troubles that have befallen West Virginia have been well publicized. Notable among them is a diminished demand for coal.
At 5.9%, West Virginia doesn’t have close to the worst state unemployment rate. But it’s a state where many have given up trying to find a job. At 17.6%, West Virginia has the highest percentage of working-age people on disability benefits, above the national average of 10.4%, according to 2012 data.
Five of Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis’ deputy clerks have said they are willing to issue marriage licenses. Judge David Bunning said that would purge the contempt charge against Davis.
The five told the judge they are willing to issue licenses to comply with the court order and avoid jail or fines.
Nathan Davis, Kim’s son and who works in the office, was the only deputy to refuse the judge. The others still cited concerns—a mix of religious objections and questions about their legal authority to sign off on forms without say so from Davis.
Did Davis succeed her mother in the job? Quite a little family thing they have going there on the government teat and yet they want to pick and choose whom to serve! smh
And instead of keeping quiet and at least doing the work for which they’re well-paid, they have been trying to get richer likely at the expense of many of their fools. In some ways this Davis woman reminds me of the Alaska Barbie.
Joe and Chuck rule over there at MSNBC. They cannot get any further up Phil Griffins behind. They have gotten rid of every single minority that had a show on the network.
Recently I started watching but only after 1pm. I immediately switch channels anytime they mention Nazi leader Trump. I’m looking for another cable/internet provider because Comcast is behind the change. they said when they bought MSNBC they were going to be more with product dev and management. i want to make the change as soon as possible. I’m in NorCal - Napa County.
As an elected official. she’d have to be impeached.
Governor says legislature would have to impeach. Legislature is like “don’t look at us, we ain’t gettin’ in it.”
Yes, she can (and should) resign, if she was had an actual conscientious objection. But you know, she’s really in it for the attention and eventually some of that martyr money. $$$

Rev. Al’s ratings were Considerably Higher than Morning Joke’s—day after day after day.
It is not now and has never been about the ratings with MSNBC,
All that matters is the Message.
Rev. Al, Joy Reid and Alex Wagner lost their shows but are still part of the network in other capacities, I think.
Jose-Diaz Balart has been cancelled, too? First I’m hearing this.
OK. I checked Mediate and JD Balart is indeed on his way out.
The propaganda on MSNBC will be served to us mostly by white males of non-hispanic heritage.
By for and about wealthy, white, Christian, male supremacy. Tamron and Rachel provide camoflague for now.
Systemic and systematic white supremacy (founding fathers style.) Women and minority GOP will provide “balance.” Hah!!!
Hello TOD.

from the article
“Her six deputy clerks were given a half hour to decide if they would issue the licenses or possibly join Davis in jail, according to LEX 18 News. Five of the six decided to follow the order to grant the marriage license. The deputy clerk who has not agreed to follow the judge’s orders is Davis’ son, WOWK 13 reported.
Davis, however, said she would not authorize the deputies to issue the licenses, prompting the judge to order she spend the night in July, WOWK 13 reported. The clerk’s office will begin issuing marriage licenses Friday morning nonetheless, WOWK 13 said, but the judge warned that without Davis’ approval those licenses may not be valid….
“…White House spokesman Josh Earnest said that he hadn’t spoken to President Obama about the results of the hearing but that, “On principle, the success of our democracy depends on the rule of law. And there is no public official that is above the rule of law.”
Democratic 2016 frontrunner Hillary Clinton also signaled she supported the judge’s decision, tweeting, “Marriage equality is the law of the land. Officials should be held to their duty to uphold the law—end of story.”
VP Biden will speak at the Fran Eizenstat and Eizenstat Family Annual Lecture at Ahavath Achim in Buckhead at 7:30 p.m. …The event is free and open to the public. Due to heavy security, attendees are encouraged to arrive early; the doors open at 5:30 p.m. Ahavath Achim Synagogue is located at 600 Peachtree Battle Avenue.
See ya later!
Where ya going?!?!

Good day all around.
Just got home to see that Cory, Heidi and Mark have joined the Sane Side.
I don’t understand what Joe Manchin is bellyaching about.
How corrupt are these people?
Utterly corrupt. We still may make it but it is going to take more than 41. Casey and Coon have not been as belligerent as Manchin on having the “debate” so we’ll see. But I don’t know how much longer I can tolerate any of them:-)

Kim is rather disappointed at this utter betrayal by her colleagues
Jesus they ain’t:

I wonder which husband is the Daddy ?
Good one, Linda!
Did Davis succeed her mother in the job? Quite a little family thing they have going there on the government teat and yet they want to pick and choose whom to serve! smh
I believe so. Nepotism is alive an well in Rowan County.
And instead of keeping quiet and at least doing the work for which they’re well-paid, they have been trying to get richer likely at the expense of many of their fools. In some ways this Davis woman reminds me of the Alaska Barbie.
how can kim’s son work in the office and be supervised by her?

What a crock. I wouldn’t give that network a minute of my time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WHO watches moocher Joe? I thought his ratings were in the toilet like Chuckles the Toad.
Joe and Chuck rule over there at MSNBC. They cannot get any further up Phil Griffins behind. They have gotten rid of every single minority that had a show on the network.
sounds like their might be cause for discrimination…
Why not give the whole darn day to Morning Joke. MSNBC is a darn joke.
Well, from reading the link, they will end up with NO viewers at all.
I don’t care how hard right they go…..Fox viewers will NEVER switch over.
Wait, isn’t he on for like 4 or 5 hours every morning already? This is really strange.
He’s on from 6-9 right now and they are going to extend his show to 10:00. It’s unbearable.
Wow. That must be unprecedented. I remember when Starbucks dumped him. He’s so unworthy. UGH.
Both of these are GREAT!!!
:) - as JackieG said earlier, the cartoonists do a much better job than the pundits and in less space!
I’m in moderation along with Bobfr.

She’s no damn Dem… Don’t care what they said
She’s a Dem like Manchin is a Dem.
West Virginia Dems are nothing more than DexiCrats.
Chips, I saw this and thought of you ;) :) ;)

Not on Gofundme accounts……they won’t allow them for her.

No problem, Allison.

Bigger chain is around her tiny brain.
