Bowling Green for us this weekend. In Nashville………. Butch-and all of us-disappointed stadium hasn’t sold out. If my hubby were able to walk a long distance, we would have gone. Alas, we will gather at our church for a big tailgate and watch on big screen there.

Whoops……Oklahoma next weekend. I saw Preston Williams got cleared academically from HS by the NCAA clearing house last week. (Auburn almost flipped him on National signing day last Feb) http://tennessee.247sports.com/Article/Freakish-Preston-Williams-giving-Tennessee-Vols-a-boost-39090260 I think Tennessee has the best WR core in the SEC (maybe the country) with Texas A&M in 2nd, LSU 3rd…I think Auburn & the Vols are going to have the most potent offenses in the league….it is going to be a matter of seeing what new DC Will Muschamp can bring that will determine if Auburn plays gets into the CFB playoff.

Good morning all. That first photo of PBO and the girls was taken on the wonderful night that FLOTUS (looking gorgeous and luminous) delivered her fantastic speech at the 2012 convention. That was the night my beautiful granddaughter was born and now she’s coming here tomorrow to celebrate her third birthday! What a night that was-it will always be seared in my memory!!!

Thank you for posting the videos showing VPOTUS’s debate with Paul Ryan. What a riot!

But where is Paul Ryan??? Has he left the country? Is he the President of some other country now? Not a peep from that loser. At least he knows how to retreat.

‘The Star Wars hype leading up to the new films is in full swing, and now that wave of space opera excitement extends to the PlayStation 4 gaming console. Sony rolled out the Star Wars Limited Edition PlayStation 4 on Sunday with a Darth Vader-style reveal of the console on YouTube. Playing the classic film dialogue “Lord Vader… rise…” on the video presentation, the console was officially unveiled at the D23 Expo in Anaheim, California.

As for the design of the console, it’s emblazoned with a large image of Darth Vader on its side, along with a string of Star Wars logos lining the rest of the case. Sony’s custom 500GB console also comes with a DualShock 4 wireless controller that sports a design element mimicking Vader’s chest plate. The special edition bundle is being offered along with a few gaming goodies, including Star Wars Battlefront Deluxe Edition and a digital voucher for four other Star Wars gaming titles: Super Star Wars, Racer Revenge, Jedi Starfighter and Bounty Hunter. You’ll be able to get your hands on this piece of geek history starting November 17.’

Kentucky county finally issues marriage licenses to gay couples

MOREHEAD, Ky. — The order from U.S. District Judge David L. Bunning was clear: Five of the six deputy clerks in Rowan County must begin issuing marriage licences to all couples on Friday.

The deputies agreed to Bunning’s order under oath in federal court.

When the Rowan County Courthouse opened for business Friday, a clerk was seated at the counter, behind a sign that read: “Marriage License Deputy.”

My “Jewish heart” LOVES PBO. If my Jewish parents and brother were alive, they would LOVE PBO. Because they were true Democrats.

DWS doesn’t have a Jewish heart. She has Bibi’s heart. I have been saying for 25 years, the current Israel is no way for Jews to behave. And I was raised by Depression era/WW II parents and a synagogue where the Holocaust was alive in our hearts.

So, b.s. to DWS, Schumer & the others who think a RWNJ is okay to set foreign policy for them, just because he says he speaks for the Jewish people.

It was outrageous. She can believe what she wants, she can even vote against the deal if she wants. What we have to demand is that she no longer be the face of the DNC and no longer be in charge of how we run campaigns. I tried to start this meme when she held hands with Bibi in Congress. But now it’s long past time to demand her ouster. She can threaten to call us all anti-Semites, which is a cheap trick. American Jews support this POTUS, support this deal and she does NOT get to speak for us or any American.

                September 4, 2025 at 9:44 am

Yep! She was going to pull that anit-semite crap on President Obama if he asked her to step down. She has to go, along with Schumer, they can’t hold these positions of leadership if they can’t back the President’s play.

I wish PBO had stood up to her. This bothered me when I first heard it. She was a disaster in 2014, and think of where we’d be if she’d done her job properly in 2012.

Maybe it’s not true, maybe he had other fish to fry. Maybe he didn’t want it to blow up his negotiations at the time. But I would have loved to see her just TRY and call PBO anti-Semitic. OMG, there would be such a backlash!

Can you imagine how strong this economy would be if President Obama had a Congress who was putting the welfare of this country first, before their party and their hatred of him. While President Obama was trying to clean up the mess G.W. Bush left behind, the Republicans saw no need to work with this President, as Rev. Al said for six and a half years they have been trying to sink the ship just to get the captain. And I’m glad they have fail.

    • 78 bella2758

Private sector jobs, G.W. Bush 463,000. President Obama 8,895,000. :)

    • 80 jackiegrumbacher
      September 4, 2025 at 9:06 am

Bella, if the Republicans in congress had put their country before their partisan hatred, we would have had a bigger stimulus, a renewed infrastructure- creating tens of thousands of jobs- higher minimum wage and probably full employment at this time. They did everything they could to put an anchor on the economy so that it would weight against PBO and he (and the country) triumphed despite them.

Nope. They’re part of the league of low-balling his achievements. HRC has gotten better at this over time but let’s not forget her earlier strategies and trial balloons to distance herself. Still, she insists on signaling to Netanyahu and Iran that she’ll be tougher than PBO in foreign affairs. Whatever!

Hillary’s better at it, only because it gets her something. Part of the “ick” factor with Hillary is that she still thinks she should have been POTUS in 2008, and she is not good at hiding her pettiness. Yes, she will give PBO some credit, but it never sounds convincing. Biden does it better than anyone, and O’Malley makes it a priority. The message is simple: we will continue the progressive success instituted by PBO, and the country will prosper and return to its moral compass and its roots. However, that would require the “Democrats” as a brand was better defined and universally supported. Which brings me back to my disgust with DWS……..

These vets did not have to die when earlier this year PBO & Congress agreed they could have gone to ANY doctor and VA would reimburse them. We need to look into WHY this happened instead of blaming PBO. The GOP & DEMS like Shumer/DWS need to stop trying to make more veterans who need VA services due to PTSD and vote for peaceful solutions.
