[dropping kids off at the mall] “You live here now, I wonāt be back.”

This so reminds me of when my son was a teenager, but not old enough to drive. Heād occasionally ask if Iād drop him and a couple of his friends at the mall to go to the movies, on a Saturday night. Iād ask how they were getting home, and he told me more than once that one of the other boyās parents would be picking them up. Then, later, Iād get “the call” that the other parent couldnāt make it, so could I pick them up? (Never thought of that “You live there now” thingie, but I digress.) Then Iād spend the ride home chastising him for not making better arrangements and why was I always the only parent yada yada yada and heād say he didnāt know that was gonna happen yada yada yada and weād go back and forth. One night, one of his friends said from the back seat of the car, “You two sound just like Donny and Marie.”
I think I forced myself to grow up a little that night. Donny didnāt change much. Ha.
One of my friends was always the Mom to pick up daughter & friends late on Sat nights. She said there were 2 reasons
1. She wanted to be sure the daughter got home safely
2. She would be quietly driving & hear all sorts of things while the girls chatted that her daughter would never otherwise tell her :)
I agree with both of her points!
LOL. Youāre a good woman, Ms. JāOB. :)
As are you. :)
I have been noticing a lot of folks, both online and off, talking about wanting PBO to have another term. I realize most of this is in jest, but it underscores an undeniable truth that folks are getting braver in expressing publicly, i.e., we have been BLESSED to have PBO as our leader. Some people are āwaking upā but more I think are feeling increasingly confident in voicing their support. Strange as it sounds, it has actually been controversial to support the President of the United States during the age of Obama (controversial in the eyes of the MSM/GOP and the sheeple who follow their lead). With PBOās policies increasingly bearing fruit and his increased Executive actions following the 2014 midterms, the greatness of his presidency is becoming harder and harder to refute. This is giving formerly cowed individuals the confidence to publicly voice support and pine for a third term. Folks are starting to realize we will lose a great deal as a nation when PBO finishes his term.
Spot on analysis Eric.
From your lips [fingers] to Godās ears Eric.
I think they also see who might be the next president, what they are talking about - and they realize that for the past 6 years they have had the most amazing leader who is just so far in front of any of the wannabes.
seriously, if I could vote for him again, I would

Interesting point, Eric. Republicans were hoping for massive Obama fatigue throughout the country that would make people āembraceā the GOP candidate. Instead weāre seeing an increase in Obama love, inspired not only by his obvious greatness, but also by the frightening lunacy of the Republican candidates. The more hatred and bigotry Americans see spewed on a daily basis, the more they will cling to the goodness of President Obama-something that I think would work in favor of a Biden candidacy.

Reidās statement on the Iran vote is hilarious:
http://www.reid.senate.gov/press_releases/2015-09-05-reid-statement-on-iran-floor-procedure-2
Ahh, yes, you can tell olā Harry had fun writing that!
Eek. Thatās one year I didnāt miss! Todd thinks “updates” will fix it. Uh, no.
“ITK hears the addition of the 61-year-old actorās voice is part of several updates moderator Chuck Todd has made to the show. Todd celebrates his one-year anniversary as moderator this week.”
KopyKats…NBC/MSNBC are so unoriginal. They want a deep African American voice like CNN who uses James L. Jones.
Iād forgotten about James L. Jones! Plus, the first thing I believe the new “voice” introducing MTP will remind everybody of is his Allstate commercials!
Oops. I think itās James Earl Jones. Didnāt shout out at me, at first!
Youāre right, James Earl Jones…..
Great actor!
Apart from the fact I was quite turned off by the language used in the title of this letter, the hypocrisy of the DNC chair floors me!! Itās letters like these Wasserman-Schultzā staff is busy sending out while she makes choices that gum up what PBOās trying to accomplish. I guess she and her staff assume that since the majority of Dems donāt vote they are also unaware of her dismal performance.
You probably got your own version but tossed it unopened. If you havenāt read it yet, do read it now and tell me what Dem progress Wasserman-Schultz has “worked so hard to achieve”.
=======================================================================================
“Vicki —
Iāve always loved the back-to-school season. I love feeling the air get crisper (at least what qualifies for crisp in Florida). And even more, I love getting back to work with my colleagues at the Capitol.
But Republicans in Congress are dead-set on rolling back the progress that Democrats like you and I have worked so hard to achieve. Theyāve already said that theyāre going to try to repeal Obamacare, after more than 50 unsuccessful attempts (and two Supreme Court rulings in the lawās favor). They want to completely defund Planned Parenthood, an organization that provides necessary health services to women across the country. And if they donāt get their way, theyāre just fine with shutting down the government — again!
Iām going to be frank: That pisses me off. As a woman, a mother, and a cancer survivor, I say that we canāt stand for this kind of irresponsible behavior — and itās exactly what weāll see more of if Republicans retain their majority in 2016. The American people deserve better.
If youāre with me, chip in $3 right now to help elect more Democrats.
…………………………..
Thank you, Vicki — I appreciate your support more than you know.
Debbie
Debbie Wasserman Schultz
Chair
Democratic National Committee
=========================================================
 I guess she hasnāt read any of my tweets suggesting if she cannot support the president itās time she quit as DNC chair.
She, and all the DEM candidates that ran away from PBOās record want to preach to us about “rolling back progress” when many of them could not say the Presidents name…..I delete ALL the begging for money emails and throw away all the letters.
Iām a pretty frank person, but Iām not the Chair of the DNC. She actually used “That pisses me off” in her letter? (I unsubscribed a long time ago.) How classy, how cute. I wouldnāt send her 3 nickels.
That was the eye-catching heading for the letter, JOāB!! I was very much affronted by its crassness.
Sheās trying to be “one of the cool kids.” Not a good look on her! Thatās okay among “friends,” but … I donāt know … who am I to judge, I guess. Iām just sick of her, in general.
So many of these politicians are so tone deaf, and Iām not talking music! They hesitate to support a president who has been chosen by millions and who is doing an awesome job, yet they have the nerve to send out fundraisers linking themselves with these very millions whose leader they are messing with (Democrats like you and I). You and I are nothing alike, Deborah. When I am the chair of an organization I chair, I support my team, and if I have issues with my team members I sort it out with them under the radar!
I too am, and have been, sick of Wasserman-Schultz. She has been a great failure as team leader as far as I can see!
Bye, bye, Debbie! << My wish!
And take Schumer with you away from the ‘chairā!
Eek. Heās not gone, yet?
You heard something? Tell me he isnāt still in line for Harryās spot, please.
Iāve heard nothing. But heād better not be!
Jacqueline, I deleted that email the moment I saw her name. I know she is intelligent enough to know that she has “pissed” off a lot of folks. I could not believe that she was sitting there nodding her head when VP Biden mentioned the dysfunctional congress.
She also acted like a schoolgirl with a crush around VP Biden that day … which made me gag. I think sheās overwhelmed by her “importance,” all of a sudden, or the renewed limelight. It would be more “important” for her to resign her chairmanship.
You know what COS, before Pres. Obama came on the national stage I used to take for granted that most of these politicians were “intelligent enough”, what with their degrees from here, there and everywhere, and the fact that they were in a leadership role for which people had chosen them. These past years have disabused me of that belief. I donāt care what, or how many, degrees these guys have, the vast majority of them have shown themselves to be idiots! It seems like many of them cannot wait to fall back into the uninspired political rut in which they had moved previously. In over 6 years of seeing him in action and having the opportunity to work with him, they still do not understand their leader and have learned precious little in how to govern despite having a master teacher. Fie upon her/them!
Ha! I got the same and responded that until she supports the President she can take me off her list.
Thank you!!!
There ya go! Now you can sleep “unencumbered” tonight! <3
:D :D You know me well - gotta clear my mind to nurture the best possible chance for sleep!
Indeed! And if we have more ‘truthā being spoken about our misspent past, more honest accounting, and more leaders of PBOās bent, weāll have more and more of this kind of citizen and citizenship manifesting itself. My eyes are tired so I put the full article on my ‘laterā list.
I think Iām going to bed. Bonne Nuit, tout le monde! Sweet dreams, Ms JOāB>
Was coming back to say goodnight, but see I missed ya! Goodnight, all! Sweet dreams.
good night TOD ….
Thanks for posting this, Bob! I love how Sen. Reid operates….especially calling McConnellās B.S. with his own words….this is also a reason Iām very worried about Schumer, he doesnāt represent the Democratic party nationwide….let alone his own caucus.
Good night, Bobfr.
GāNight again, JOāB! :D
Sleep is being elusive tonight, so Iām still playing computer solitaire (Offspring taught me the day before he left to return to his studies). Though Iāve played over 100 games I wonāt share my winning (30%) grade yet though. ;)
