I love seeing VP Joe fired up. A brief speech but a very passionate one. A very warm reception from the crowd. It ended with the crowd shouting, “run Joe run.”

I heard some of it before they cut away.

I see your comment on previous thread and love your words about FLOTUS being a great support to Dr. Jill. Today’s speech reminded us why VP Joe is so beloved. He’s honest and plain spoken about what matters. He’s not afraid to be emotional about the things he cares about.

        • 12 arapaho415

          GM Meta.

Of course we know how biased our tunnel-vision MSM is, but it amazes me that they don’t see (or refuse to acknowledge) that @VP will get the support of the Obama coalition because we trust Joe to never criticize (or slyly allude to — HRC style) @POTUS.

After 7 years of unrelenting negative spins/lies on anything Obama-related, we DO NOT want more of the same for Dems running for President in 2016.

      GM MTM.

Missed the chants, but am there in spirit.

I believe the MSM reports that Jill Biden is reluctant (after seeing the unfair, untrue VICIOUS personal attacks against @FLOTUS and @POTUS for 7 years, who could blame her), but Americans really need another person who is true to his beliefs and says what he means and means what he says to firmly implement everything @POTUS has accomplished so far.

I think @VP is at heart a pragmatist and will no doubt disappoint emoprogs who want everything, right now dammit, but voters know that whatever Joe Biden does to enact law will be in the interests of the general public, not multi-zillionaires and lobbyists.

      • 19 mtmarilyn
        September 7, 2025 at 10:46 am

GM araphaho415!!! I also understand her reluctance after everything they have gone thru. But I am so underwhelmed by those currently in the running. Someone brought up to me the possiblility of Kerry running. I think he would make an outstanding President. Don’t know if he would be interested.

        • 20 arapaho415
          September 7, 2025 at 11:00 am

Read somewhere that Kerry is not interested.

After hearing how torn @VP is, my heart sank. Thank God for Jill Biden — Joe Biden strikes me as the type of person who would throw himself between a loved one and danger, and would do so at a drop of a hat for Jill, his children and grandchildren. Jill would be a caring, committed and stylish FLOTUS, so I hope she will consider what a difference it would make for the US and the world for Joe to be #45.

If Joe doesn’t enter the race, I’ll vote (but with little enthusiasm) for whoever the Dem candidate is and wait for @POTUS and @VP to nurture and mentor new leaders to lead us forward — really hope that @PressSec Josh Earnest returns to Kansas and runs for statewide office there (crossing my fingers that he doesn’t remain in the DC-bubble) — Josh is so good, and so Kansas-nice with his dealings with GOP-propaganda WHPC jackals.

          • 21 mtmarilyn
            September 7, 2025 at 11:11 am

I didn’t think Kerry would be interested but I always have hope. I too will vote Dem and pray for the next generation. I didn’t realize Josh is from KS. That is my home state and I have such heartache over what is happening there. There is always hope!

          September 7, 2025 at 11:56 am

She can’t give PBO credit because it will upset her “base”. Just like the tea partiers, the extreme left finds the success of PBO challenging to their worldview, so they have created this alternate reality PBO who is a puppet to Wall Street. The level of their collective mental illness is evident in the fact that it was PBO who gave Elizabeth her start.

          • 51 prettyfoot58
            September 7, 2025 at 12:01 pm

Eric…in my alternate universe of hope…i had wished that the DEM party had been more open to the President…using the example of OFA to rebuild the organizing structure of the DNC…but they are inflicted with the same ODS that the right is inflicted with…hence when the President ran in 2012…he had to build his own structure in order to win….sigh…i often wonder what will happen when the nominee is chosen…will the DNC continue its trek away from the President

            • 52 EricFive
              September 7, 2025 at 12:13 pm

HRC seems to realize she needs the Obama coalition if she wants to win, but even she pines for the white working class vote. The DNC and Dem “leadership” want to revert back to the days before PBO. Winning elections takes a back seat to not being seen as the “Black folks party”.

She will need to get in the burbs. In the outer limits of downtown Houston. At least, that is what I went through when I was down there, not south but North and West.

All i know about Houston is it’s hot/humid in summer and cold in winter. It was the only city in TX i did not like however it was in the late 80’s and the ecomony was in the toilet at the time. Since then it has become more diverse industries and less reliant on oil. Why Houston?

      Things are Finally getting real.
These people have forgotten that PEACE is what most Dems…..probably 90% of Dems want and these people taking individual Oath to protect and honor US’s Constitution……..they not only betray their Oath, they are siding with a foreign leader over POTUS. That is beyond heresy. It is treasonous in my personal opinion.

Israel is fast becoming a partisan issue. The AIPAC Congressmen that are currently Dems may have to switch parties since Israel is their most important issue. They should not be allowed to hold Dem leadership positions in the meantime before the switch.

Electing a reelecting Bibi displays the moral rot going on in Israel. During WWII many country’s wrongly turned away Jewish refugees attempting to escape the horrors of the Holocaust. Now Israel is doing the same thing. Why is everyone supposed to have learned lessons from the Holocaust except Israel? It better keep the AIPAC money flowing, because Israel is not making any friends through its actions.

He’s running for President and should at least be intelligent on who some of the players are in ME to speak intelligently. To say you are “good at military” and don’t know anything about ME is ok for running for mayor or or dog catcher. American want more from a presidential candidate.

In the movie “12 Years a Slave” nothing upset a white racist more than being bested by a Black man. I think Bernie suffers from this mentality. He spent 26 years in Congress and has nothing to show for it, but now claims he could accomplish so much more than PBO if he were president. Nothing PBO does is ever good enough according to a guy who accomplished nothing.

Meta thanks for posting this. After all this time in congress, he is selling his followers a lot of pie in the sky crap. If the researched his record and saw what he did not do while serving in congress, where he had a better chance to do all of what he promises, he certainly won’t do it as President.
