Alice…i am soo discouraged..by The Dems…but i suppose it has really always been this way,,The President has been the hopeful light for our country…i wonder what his role will be in the 2016 presidential campaign..
Pf, President Obama has already told us what his role will be in the 2016 presidential campaign. He said he would do EVERYTHING in his power to elect a Democratic president. If that person is Clinton, Sanders, OâMalley, Webb, Chafee, or, preferably, Joe Biden, he will raise enormous sums, stump, rally the ground troops and call in all the very considerable political capital he has in every state. And you can be sure FLOTUS will be right beside him. PBO is not going to risk his legacy and the destruction of his achievements on one of the Barbarians running on the Republican side. He loves his country too much to see it slide into disaster. Heâs holding his fire right not because he wants to give Biden the space to jump in. But once a nominee is assured, you can bet that PBO will pull out all the stops. And thatâs my signal to jump in as well.
Jeff, Bernie will not win the nomination-of that you can be sure If bernbots decide to stay home, then the rest of us will just have to work harder to recruit voters who will come out. A lot of Pumas decided to stay home in 2008 and 2012 and I remember hoping the door would hit them hard on the way out.
Jeff, the answer to that is in our hands-literally. We pound the pavement to knock on doors, hit the phones until we get hoarse, contribute everything that we can and make sure we correct every lie and distortion that appears in the media. Thatâs how Dems get elected in this country and we know we can do it because weâve already done it twice-in 2008 and 2012. When push comes to shove, I donât need to be “inspired” to work for a Dem presidential candidate-I will be working from fear, which is a pretty good motivator.
Iâll vote for any Democratic Presidential candidate just to ensure that a Republican doesnât get into the White House. Given how the Republicans hate minorities, women, immigrants, etc., I have a personal stake in the next Presidential election.
Hey, JOâB, congratulations on being a grandparent and even a great grandparent. I only qualify with one little (but gorgeous) little granddaughter, but congrats to us both, as well as Donna Dem and all the other TOD grandparents.
Meta, I regard a poll like this as pure BS. Nobody knows what will happen in the Iowa ‘caucus,â which is not a primary and doesnât even occur until February. And the 2008 election showed us that New Hampshire does not matter. Sanders will not get the nomination, but heâs being used by the anti-Clinton media as a new club to whip her with.
This. Theyâve wanted a horse race from the beginning and if they have to manufacture one then so be it.
Democrats are not going to vote for a candidate whoâs so arrogant he doesnât even feel he needs to join the Democratic Party to get their nomination. Thatâs some serious chutzpah.
If Hillary wins, Iâll support her and if itâs Joe Biden I will do it with my whole heart. But Iâm not going to stand around while somebody tells me that the charlatan Trump is “authentic” or that Sanders is more real than Hillary. But are both BS artists in their own sphere.
Joe Biden can show that idiot Trump the real meaning of authenticity any day of the week. Give me a break.
Hillary seems to need handrails.
Right now, Iâm just fed up with all of it.
Meta, now is really a good time to get fed up because itâs many months before we cast a presidential primary vote and we will be worn to frazzles by then if we donât pace ourselves. There are important local and state elections in 2015 and thatâs where Iâm putting my energies in the immediate future. I am not a fan of Hillary Clintonâs, but Hillary holding on to handrails, walking with a cane or supporting herself on crutches is about one million times better for all of us than any one of the demented, hate-filled bozos on the Republican side.
Anyone who attacks Joe Biden for his grief has announced him/herself as sub human. Every single person in the US has known grief from the death of someone they love-a family member, a friend, someone they looked up to. Mocking a man whose heart has been broken is a sure way to create support for Biden and alienate yourself from the rest of mankind.
Meta, comical that anybody uses “ego trip” in reference to Joe Biden when the biggest egos on the planet are running on the Republican side and Sen. Ego Sanders is running on the Dem side. Mt. Everest would be considered a hillock next to Trumpâs ginormous ego, which literally knows no bounds.
my little brother died 32 yrs ago yesterday.. and I still grieved him yesterday. Anyone attacking Joe Biden for his grief, I agree is sub-human, without a heart.

…Sanders tells the lie that the President is so UNengaged….like the GOP he thinks that if he tells a lie often enough folks will believe it…hell he will even believe it
This paragraph sums up the challenge pretty well. I believe he can do it if he so chooses:
“He wears his heart on his sleeve and his rosary around his wrist. His story is well known. The politics of personal tragedy have pulled Joe Biden out of the shadows in the late autumn of his career and into the glare of a potential contest with Hillary Clinton who appears to be the direct opposite of the Vice President: stage managed, rehearsed, mechanical, accomplished but always cautious, somewhat duplicitous, often secretive and entitled.”
Meta, I love the good things this article says about Biden, but Iâm getting uncomfortable with the constant Hillary bashing by the media. We have absolute buffoons, idiots and flagrant bigots running on the Republican side and the media decides that daily dumping on Hillary is the way to go. Meanwhile the most outrageous lies, hatred, stupidity, and economy and climate destroying proposals issue daily from Republican candidates and go unchallenged by so-called journalists and pundits.
THIS! The WP has Hillary having the worst week in Washington despite the fact Bush is in single digits everywhere, Walker and Christie have disappeared from sight and Perry quit. The media will continue their relentless ripping of any Dem candidate in order to help the Rs win.
I agree. All the batshit crazy racist klowns get a total pass from the fifth columnist media while she is parsed and sliced in every little way possible. We need to be careful by not falling for the media shilling tactics.

First, he decided that drafting Dr. Cornell West as his most prominent black surrogate would somehow be a good idea, which would have worked if Sanders had a flux capacitor and a DeLorean set to 2007. Here in the present, Cornell West is about as appealing to black voters as a Rand Paul lecture on black party identification. West has been among the most unhinged of Obama critics.
and he is talking this crap to people on the left who spent ALL the years of PBOâs presidency attack everything he was trying to do. these people directed more venom to PBO (who was working on issues they claim to care about) than they did to a single gop (who are hell-bent on destroying everything in their path)
This is fantastic news and it will blow the minds of every Republican in the country! I love the Nobel committee-they are truly geniuses who recognize true worth when they see it.
Good to know. I just came here to check this out because I saw it in a tweet that led to an article. Always know that I can get the skinny here on whatever is going on.

This is an inetrsting article that PBO should gotten the 2013 nodel Peace Prize. It is just amazing what our Preseident has accomplished in foreign affairs, particularly in the Middle East.
Yes!! Does he have to give away all the prize money again? Like others so honored have never/seldom done? Of can he use it as he sees fit, which would be fitting! :bear:<3
Some people may not want to hear this, but Hillary is going to have a hard winning the general election in 2016. There is a segment of the country that simply donât like her and donât trust her. Her high negativity is a problem, and a losing number for a candidate of her caliber. I was one of the few people that predicted way back in 2011-2012 that Hillary is going to run for President in 2016, but that eventually she will self-destruct. She is a terrible candidate PERIOD. Democrats better pray that Joe Biden decides to run, otherwise Hillary will end up winning the nomination only to have a difficult time against the republican nominee. Iâm not saying she will lose, but donât be surprise if election night turns into another 2000 or 2004.
The polls that have Bernie beating in Iowa and New Hampshire are spot on. The guy is leading her in the polls right now mostly on the basis of people not feeling Hillary and not trusting anything she says. It doesnât help that she screwed up regarding the email situation. She should be grateful that blacks and hispanic democratic voters are not feeling Bernie Sanders, otherwise we will be looking at the democratic primary basically over before Super Tuesday.
Ironically right now, itâs the black voters in South Carolina that are likely to save her candidacy, thus preventing history from repeating itself.
So would that segment of the country prefer to put a nutty, racist, xenophobic, sexist, homophobic bigoted Republican in the White House where he can stack the Supreme Court with his Rightwing Justices who can undo the progress that President Obama worked so hard to achieve?
Unfortunately, we only have two major parties in the U.S. So if we sit at home and donât vote for Secretary Clinton, weâre turning the White House over to the horror which is the Republican Party. George Bush should be the last Republican President in our lifetime after what he did to this country (and the world).
I really hope that people put aside their feelings about Secretary Clinton and vote for her and consider the harm that will be done to people of color, LGBT, immigrants, women, etc., if Republicans get in the White House again. We have to be sensible about this and not get personal about our feelings in regard to Mrs. Clinton. She will be a much better President than any of the Clown Car Occupants.
I never believed she was not going to run. All that nonsense about not knowing was just for press attention. Sheâs been preparing for this all her adult life.
The Nobel Prizes were created by Alfred Nobel for promoting outstanding achievements in physics, chemistry, physiology or medicine, literature, and for work in peace. I love how this tweet says “over anything” and not “over anyone”. So appropriate because I canât think of any of the Republican candidates as having any humane qualities.
Another example of how the media tries to create/change the meme…they seem to be licking their chops in anticipation of this notion…proves that they have learned nothing about our President
Why is this a sanctioned question for a pollster?
USA in 239 years has never had a Coup.
The Civil War that took place in the Mid 1800s was Not a Coup. It was Treasonous Secessionists wanting a continuation of Slavery.
The Military in USA is under the POTUS.
With 3 CO-Equal Branches of Govât, Coup dâetat is impossible. The GOPers since Nov 4th, 2008 have been trying a form of political Coup dâetat with the support of the US Media and they have failed miserably.
43% of Republicans would support a military coup in the U.S. http://t.co/kO8M3JYmEd via @politicalwire

Now think about what this question implies and if somethig like this happened how the rest of the world would react given that most of our debt is held by foreign nations - mostly POC nations.
Except for what yâall bring over here, I am not following anything. Iâm #ridinwithbiden, and until that is a definite one way or the other, life is stick on overwhelm for MP for months now, so reading and listening here is almost an escape. When I can get here. Have said hat, for me, all we need to know about The Bern, is summed up in his initials: BS. Love you lot, the whole mob. 99td, thinking of you every day.
FTR: these are not typos, this is written by a woman who seems to believe she can still see quite well, thank you very much, without her glasses! Sound familiar?? ;)
Aloha, Nena. BS wanted President Obama primaried in 2012. It was pure lies and demagoguery on BSâs part.. shocking!
“SANDERS: Brian, believe me, I wish I had the answer to your question. Let me just suggest this. I think there are millions of Americans who are deeply disappointed in the president; who believe that, with regard to Social Security and a number of other issues, he said one thing as a candidate and is doing something very much else as a president; who cannot believe how weak he has been, for whatever reason, in negotiating with Republicans and thereâs deep disappointment. So my suggestion is, I think one of the reasons the president has been able to move so far to the right is that there is no primary opposition to him and I think it would do this country a good deal of service if people started thinking about candidates out there to begin contrasting what is a progressive agenda as opposed to what Obama is doing. [âŚ] So I would say to Ryan [sic] discouragement is not an option. I think it would be a good idea if President Obama faced some primary opposition.”
How about our POTUS, when the lady tells him that her wedding is October 3rd, he says that that is his anniversary. His and FLOTUS anniversary. Alot of men would not remember that.

Amen…thanks jackie G
{{{{jackieg}}}} Every damn bit of this:)
Very well stated!
If Bernie wins people wont vote and will instead stay home so a republican can win the white house?
Jeff, Bernie will not win the nomination-of that you can be sure If bernbots decide to stay home, then the rest of us will just have to work harder to recruit voters who will come out. A lot of Pumas decided to stay home in 2008 and 2012 and I remember hoping the door would hit them hard on the way out.
I hope youâre correct because I am worried more than ever about a republican winning the presidency.
The global markets will not allow a Republican win. The US has to remain stable and if a GOPer wins, the US will descend into chaos.
Iâll vote for any Democratic Presidential candidate just to ensure that a Republican doesnât get into the White House. Given how the Republicans hate minorities, women, immigrants, etc., I have a personal stake in the next Presidential election.

Somewhat. Time will tell.
reactionaries might think these polls are a big deal. They arenât but it doesnât stop people from believing in them.
I donât consider Simon Rosenberg a reactionary but I take your point. A lot can change before February but this is where we are now.
But Bernie is still having a hard time rallying the African American demographic. He will need Black votes to get the nomination.
how many delegates these two states net? two?

This tweet needs to be changed: Netanayahu will once again embarrass himself in upcoming US visit, while attempting to embarrass President Obama.
Uh huh . Iâm not retweeting that.
Another example of how the media tries to create/change the meme…they seem to be licking their chops in anticipation of this notion…proves that they have learned nothing about our President
Good afternoon, TOD. Donât recall if I previously share this. If I did, itâs worth another look…
He offered similar greetings in a tweet, last year …..
KaBoom!
Thank you Bobfr. So glad you were not too tired to post a zinger of a response to that tweet. Hope you get some rest this evening.
The GOPers since Nov 4th, 2008 have been trying a form of political Coup dâetat with the support of the US Media and they have failed miserably.
i agree…you have to wonder why it was asked…and then promoted by the irresponsible media
Who and why are these stupid ass questions are asked? I mean we know there are stupid racists idiots out there who hate this President.
Sound familiar?? ;)
In 2008 and 2012 how many Campaign events did Sander conduct for Then Sen Obama and Later for Pres Obama?
I truly canât recall even one.

I thought that was a truly lovely moment. So much of PBOâs world is connected to his love for MIchelle and his baby girls.
It is about to begin.
See you all Tomorrow ;) Knock on wood
New post.
