Good day TOD! On this ridiculous GOP debate day, I offer an incredible read on the President’s strategic vision and rebalancing of the US interests around the world. It truly explains why he has been so hell bent on the TPP and the many errors in the US past he has sought to correct going back to the 1940’s. By far the best and most in depth analysis of his FP goals I’ve read anywhere. BUT a very long read, and one which is so far beyond any R brain I suspect they would find it difficult to understand even one paragraph. It does however, highlight just how much of a grand chessmaster PBO has been in his strategic vision for the country, even greater than I had understood previously. I have read it once but will need to read it several times again to get the full import from it. A couple of highlights from “Grandmaster of the Great Game”:
“In ways that have eluded Washington pundits and policymakers, President Barack Obama is deploying a subtle geopolitical strategy that, if successful, might give Washington a fighting chance to extend its global hegemony deep into the twenty-first century. After six years of silent, sometimes secret preparations, the Obama White House has recently unveiled some bold diplomatic initiatives whose sum is nothing less than a tri-continental strategy to check Beijing’s rise. As these moves unfold, Obama is revealing himself as one of those rare grandmasters who appear every generation or two with an ability to go beyond mere foreign policy and play that ruthless global game called geopolitics.

I read this article yesterday and it is a tutorial of how President Obama thinks on a global scale. It is lengthy and it is very interesting I highly recommend that everyone read it.

Beth Van Duyne, the mayor of Irving, pushed elected officials to back a state bill banning Sharia law after reading reports about an Islamic tribunal set up in her town to settle personal and business disputes between Muslims based on religious principles.
“Sharia Law Court was NOT approved or enacted by the City of Irving,” the mayor posted Feb. 6 on her Facebook page. “Recently, there have been rumors suggesting that the City of Irving has somehow condoned, approved or enacted the implementation of a Sharia Law Court in our City. Let me be clear, neither the City of Irving, our elected officials or city staff have anything to do with the decision of the mosque that has been identified as starting a Sharia Court.”
Her post, and her calls to fight back against the overinflated threat, were promoted by Fox News and Glenn Beck…”
