Just spotted this on the FedEx tracker:

“FedEx anticipates delays and disruptions in the Washington, D.C., New York, and Philadelphia metro areas because of the papal visit.”

First of all, for liability, FedEx would blame a chipmunk in the road! Second, I’m guessing residents of D.C., NYC, and Philly will be kinda glad when the Pope heads back to the Vatican! (Hang tough, local folks. If RWNJ heads explode over some of the stuff he mentions during his visit, it’ll be worth it.)

WHOA: SEIU and AFSCME decide to hold off, in part because of a prospective Joe Biden candidacy.

      September 22, 2025 at 2:22 pm

This seems huge to me. AFSCME was a Big HRC supporter in 2008.
      So, unions are holding off.
50 out of 759 PBO 2012 bundlers are also holding off.
Most of the Hollywood and Musical stars are holding off.
NY State has registered its first poll of HRC with Unfavorable higher than favorable.
The Clinton Campaign is reaching back decades to impugn Bernie and VPB.

Put it together and what’ve you got? bibbidyboobbedyboo—(Disney song, don’t know why it occurred to me.)

I was so trying to keep an open mind about Hillary. I had started to defend her (although my heart was not in it). I think Bernie, who has a lot of good progressive ideas, would be a disaster if he became POTUS - he has no temperament for it, he only engenders anger, not hope, and the world would never take him seriously. He has no curiosity or interest in the things outside of his economic justice sphere. He’s got a mean streak. And damn it, I’m a Democrat, he’s made no effort to make the Dems better or get Dems elected. His purity is dangerous.

I want Joe. I want a Biden/Warren (!) ticket so the leftier progressive would swoop up Bernie voters.

          Biden/Castro is my first choice.
          Biden/Warren isn’t bad.
And until a week ago when Bill de Blasio said there are enough (D) in the race, I would have liked Biden/de Blasio.
Now I think my NY Gov is sleeping with dreams of Biden/Cuomo dancing in his head.

Julian Castro maybe, but he may be too young. But I have a nagging feeling, Vicki, that there’s something wrong with Hillary’s candidacy……..

57 you and I are on the same wavelength. Yesterday, it was reported that the State Dept’s request for information from the FBI regarding information obtained from Hillary’s server was denied because they do discuss ONGOING investigation and will not even acknowledge that there is an investigation. While the House GOP KKKochroaches fumed, the reality is this is not good for HRC. FOIA information requested had to do with her assistant’s contract for work outside the State Dept. Now just let that sink in for a minute. the State Dept did not have any information in their records about the assistant doing outside work for the Clintons. If they did, they would have honored the FOIA request. I think part of VPB’s slow walk to declare may be the sadness he feels for HRC and those who have been waiting for her for years to make a successful WH bid. I think VPB definitely knows what it is that the FBI is investigating. I just keep asking myself why. The presidency was HRC’s for the taking. Even those of us who didn’t like her were going to vote for her so I’m just baffled by her decisions. They make her seem shady and messy.

idon, I’m questioning if she just can’t admit she doesn’t want this, after wanting it for so long. To find out that she only wanted 4 debates? She’s looking to me like her heart isn’t in it. I have friends who adore the Clintons, and they’re not feeling it with her. I have a sick feeling, I really do.

You know, she lost to PBO because she had an opportunity to show greatness, and she climbed into the gutter instead. I am prepared to get past what she did in 2008, but I truly question if she can do the job. Is she just the better side of mediocre, who married advantageously? I don’t know. I just don’t feel good about it.

Those unions know exactly what they are doing, Vicki :)

It’s so very important that VP Biden emulate the king of #RopeADope and that is exactly what he is doing … all the while giving Hill & Co., an opportunity to display just how mean spirited & lame they are …. and, they’re doing a #heckofajob of displaying just that ….

It’s so stupid, I read he said that people who can’t afford it will still be able to get it for free? The dumb a$$es that are supporting what he did don’t seem to realize there is NO reformulation that will be done to this drug and I don’t know if he’ll allow a generic since there was none before be jacked up the price. So if he plans to give it to anyone who can’t afford it what was the point of jacking up the price. The price in foreign countries is less than $2.00 and cost less than .05 cents to produce. I hope he is investigated and put in prison.

YES! I think he’s counting on Insurance Carriers paying, and with that kind of a price, they just won’t allow it on their formulary, because it’s cost-prohibitive, so it won’t be covered at all.
