Hi ya, Ms. Chips!
My son took it upon his own authority to upgrade my IPad.
The keys look weird and everything is slower than slow. They never tell you what they are doing. Just when you think you have mastered the damn thing, they upgrade!
How is Danny doing?
Ah LDS, I just updated my iPad too, I havenât used it too much since so Iâm guessing a surprise awaits me :???: Love being able to use two apps at the same time, though, eg having a video playing in the corner while you do something else. Very neat.
Hi youâall. I have been using an ipad for a couple of years now and loved it, but recently, I have not been able to access this site quickly. I am not sure it is the ipad or the internet in general. Hence, I am not posting here much from home.
What do they think if they have Upchuck on five days a week it will naturally bring people to MTRepublicans on Sunday? Good luck with that. I barely watch TRMS and LW these days.
This continued incarceration of Nadiya is a blot of shame on Putin and Russia. I often think of how awful life must be for her and wish there was someway, somehow she and others like her could be freed.
What a day for Ukrainians! First, President Obama speaks out against Putinâs aggression; then when Putin speaks, the Ukrainian delegation leaves and now the tragic symbolism of the bullet-ridden flag. Putin may think his actions make him appear powerful, but they actually reveal him to be a sadistic bully. Everyone in the world knows his number.
My friend returned home yesterday and I went to visit. He looks great and is talking and moving almost normally! Thanks again for your support; I was inspired and touched by it!
So, Iâve been trying to catch up a bit this a.m. and you guys have been on fire! Iâll try to highlight my faves…
MSoph, that is such good new to hear. Thank you for sharing and tell your friend and his family that we are still sending prayers and healing thoughts his way.
VC, DesertFlower and GGail,
Thank you so much! Iâm serious when I say that I am convinced the TOD positive thoughts have made a difference! Heâs doing much better than I expected at this point.
I WATCHED THE ENERGIZERâS UN SPEECH…HE HIT IT ALL AND DIDNâT MISS A THING!…WE HAVE A SIGNIFICANT PROBLEM WITH IGNORANCE OF THE FACTS IN THIS COUNTRY…AMERICANS WONâT ADMIT TO WRONG DOING AND CERTAINLY NOT WHEN PBO POINTS IIT OUT!
I had just about written her off as just another self-serving Dem, promoting her own interests and not giving PBO (who she owes her career to) any credit. I was so p*ssed off at her after her Colbert appearance. She seemed to be taking the Sanders route: yelling about the ‘system being riggedâ and ‘middle class families not having a chanceâ and ‘we need a government that worksâ, all while making ZERO mention of PBO and the accomplishments of the last six years. Stephen asks her what we can do to change this and never does she mention “vote” or criticize the Repubs in Congress. Finally she mentions the CFPB and the good it has already done, but, again, NO mention of PBO - who fought for her and it. I decided I was done, done, done, with Elizabeth Warren.
Then I see the tweet about her speech on racial inequality and I was blown away! She really did some truth telling. Maybe Iâll give her a little more room for growth. I especially loved how she all but called out Bernie Sandersâ messaging with this:
“Economic justice is not â and has never been â sufficient to ensure racial justice. Owning a home wonât stop someone from burning a cross on the front lawn. Admission to a school wonât prevent a beating on the sidewalk outside,”
My friend was born in Gary, Indiana. When she was a young girl, the family was doing well and moved to a nice suburb in Michigan. Shortly after they arrived, someone burned a cross on their lawn. She is an executive with a major company, but she still gets pulled over way too often for minor bs reasons.
“None of us can ignore what is happening in this country. Not when our black friends, family, neighbors literally fear dying in the streets.” Warren said. “This is the reality all of us must confront, as uncomfortable and ugly as that reality may be. It comes to us to once again affirm that black lives matter, that black citizens matter, that black families matter.”
I noticed the words “once again” in that last sentence. These two words are a very important addition to this statement. So many times I have heard (sometimes well-intentioned) people with light skin, who donât know the experience of darker skinned friends and family, saying, “I thought we had solved all of this.” The words “once again”, to me, stress the fact that the struggle for equality and justice is ongoing and cannot/should not be pushed aside.
I have yet to watch the YouTube of the whole speech. Will do that in a few….
Thanks for the reminder NW! Colbert is on permanent DVR mode at my house! He is half the reason I bought my over the air TIVO (I cut the cable cord this year and Iâm loving it). I have to go to bed early tonight. So bummed I have to wait until Tuesday to watch our fabulous FLOTUS on my favorite show.
O.k. I have to give a shout out to Donna Dem for this HILARIOUS tweet! :-) Hope one of the comedy shows uses it. If anyone follows the show At Midnight, or the Nightly Show, you should share this with them (Iâm not on twitter, or I would):

**UPDATED: Barack Obama and the myth of the progressive âmajoritiesâ
JULY 16, 2025
To progressives who complain about Barack Obama âsquanderingâ the progressive majorities he supposedly had going for him when he was elected president, I refer you to the following chart (from Wikipedia):
I donât see the name of Bart Tupa (spelling ?) who gave me terrible headache during the ACA debate. He opted to resign knowing that his support for ACA would result in a terrible campaign against him.
Do you have a link for this? I canât seem to click on anything that takes me to the original. I want to share it. Was the update from recently or is this from the original 2011 article?
:D << See that huge smile? I went to pick up my car that I left at the mechanic earlier this morning because it had been leaking steadily from the front for a little while now. Of course, I was dreading the verdict/bill (usually when I take my vehicle in, they know to fix it since I can't fix it myself - IOW they don't need to call me first). Well, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that there was no charge - something about changing the gasket and topping up the tires! :D:D
Tell me about it! I should be alright now, until I have to put on my snow tires. :D
BTW, I notice you So-cal ladies painted the town this past weekend and had a good time at it! Good for you all. Iâm saving my Jojo wishes for tomorrow morning, assuming I get a day at home.
Impossible to be intellectually or ethically honest and argue against ….
If we did not have US military invasion of Afghanistan & Iraq, & USâs unwarranted support for the inhumane actions of the Zionist regime 1/2
— Hassan Rouhani (@HassanRouhani) September 28, 2025
…against the oppressed nation of #Palestine, today the terrorists would not have an excuse for the justification of their crimes. 2/2
— Hassan Rouhani (@HassanRouhani) September 28, 2025
Iran has done, and continues to do a bunch of detestable stuff and they should continue to be held accountable by the US and the International Community.
But, WE OWN what we did in the 1950s to that Countryâs vibrant democracy, and we most definitely OWN the murderous debacles that Bush & Cheney unleashed in Afghanistan & Iraq, and have undeniable responsibility for continuing to enable Israelâs incessant dehumanization & slaughter of the Palestinian people as it perfects its anti-democratic Apartheid Jewish State.
Wow is right, 57! I am blown away. As I said in my post above, I had all but written off Warren as playing the Bernie Sanders card. This speech. And thank you for the link so I could read in its entirety. It is even better than the snippets I read in tweets earlier.
I am now more open to her as a VP candidate and very happy to see someone like her speaking truth. This is what Sanders should have and didnât say from the beginning.
1st!
:-)

Didnât know you had an iPad Chips! đ
LDS I feel your pain with iPad. Itâs slower than slow but so much handier.
The apps are all updating too!
Hi youâall. I have been using an ipad for a couple of years now and loved it, but recently, I have not been able to access this site quickly. I am not sure it is the ipad or the internet in general. Hence, I am not posting here much from home.
Congratulations Don! Did you enjoy your fall NFL football week-end? I really enjoyed SNF! đđđ
May I take this moment to recognize Donâs first landing position from a field of fierce competitors. Congratulations for your performance!
Good afternoon, TOD!
I am still catching up from the weekend.
Please carry on…
Congratulations Don!
Staying home is a good thing.
Is this man ever tired?
Thanks for the updates BTs.
President Obama is such a wonderful person.
Deos anyone know how long the meeting is scheduled?
I had to stop myself at two of these. I donât like giving Chuck Todd this much time, and was feeling a little nauseous thinking about him. :)
Refers to Toddâs expanded MTP dailies. Couldnât bring his tweet here, because it had his face on it.
Shawna gets it.
You rule!!
What do they think if they have Upchuck on five days a week it will naturally bring people to MTRepublicans on Sunday? Good luck with that. I barely watch TRMS and LW these days.
With you on all of that!
These are related ….
No one is fooled …. Putin is a mass murdering tyrant of the 1st Order ………..
Very powerful image of what is the brutal reality.
This continued incarceration of Nadiya is a blot of shame on Putin and Russia. I often think of how awful life must be for her and wish there was someway, somehow she and others like her could be freed.
In summary …..

Look like Putin is trying to smile, but it seem like itâs hard for him to do. Like this Putin :)
Excellent.

I canât blame them. When you deal with toddlers, immature and unsophisticated reporters, you must take precaution.

:) :) Itâs a wonder you didnât see me dancing back to the car to drive home, Mme S!
Was that you? :-) >^..^<
Tee-hee-hee! ‘Twas.
Those are the very absolutely best kinds of reports VC - go treat yourself to some fried rice :D
Tell me about it! I should be alright now, until I have to put on my snow tires. :D

Itâs always a pleasure to read the text of President Obamaâs speeches:
Just read this Meta. Amazing. This is why PBO is a once in a lifetime leader. Will share with F&F. Thanks.
