Since the assassination of JFK, nearly 2M Americans have been killed by guns. More deaths than by the deaths of those who were killed in wars since this Nation was formed.
I would not be surprised if other countries start issuing travel warnings for the USA.
They already do & have been for quite awhile.
The polls say people WANT gun control but it must be for some “Other” state than the ones where the pollster lives. GOP voters give DEM congress low approval ratings and DEM voters gives GOP members low approval ratings. I put the onerous on the GOP legislators not DEMs, it is the majority of GOP who refuse to do anything about gun regulation. I fear for my 14yr old niece who will be going to college in four years and could become a statistic if nothing is changed real soon.

Parents and grandparents have to be afraid to let the kids go to school. I know I am and when my daughter called me for the second time an hour ago my first response was fear. (We chat often but usually not twice in one day.)

Hours After Lie Filled Republican Hearing, Planned Parenthood Burned In Arson Attack
Last night, following the Republican Party’s televised despicable false attacks on Planned Parenthood which included deceptively edited videos and false graphs, a Planned Parenthood in Thousand Oaks, California burned in what authorities have determined was an arson attack. This came just weeks after a vandalism attack om the same facility.
The Los Angeles Times reported, “Ventura County sheriff’s Capt. John Reilly said Thursday someone likely used a rock to shatter a window at the Planned Parenthood facility in the 1200 block of West Hillcrest Drive, then threw gasoline inside the office and ignited it.”

MSNBC is reporting that an American C130 transport plane has crashed in Aghanistan.
What is there left for the president to say? We all know what needs to be done, but we d o not have the will to do it. If enough of us were truly sick and tired of being sick and tired, we would defeat the handful of profiteers and their minions. If I were PBO, I would not say anything more about this.
PBO is pissed! (So am I) We all should be angry. Congress needs to taken out to the shed and beat down!!! Make it stop!
If young Black males were going around shooting up schools, movie theaters, malls and places of worship, you can bet this issue would be handled differently.
They all would be killed instantly, CEB, but the gun nuts would still be supporting the NRA. This disease goes way deep and, as I’ve said over and over and over again, the way to bring it in check without in any way abrogating “2nd Amendment rights” is to make it a major Federal offense for any gun/ammo manufacturer, seller, owner or/and user carry liability insurance. The insurance companies will ensure compliance, I can guarantee you, because they’d go broke if they didn’t.

Report: Oregon Shooter Asked Victims About Their Religion
An Oregon newspaper reported Thursday that a woman who was in a community college classroom where a massacre took place said the gunman asked victims about their religion before opening fire.
From the newspaper:
Kortney Moore, 18, from Rogue River, was in her Writing 115 class in Snyder Hall when one shot came through a window. She saw her teacher get shot in the head. The shooter was inside at that point, and he told people to get on the ground. The shooter was asking people to stand up and state their religion and then started firing away, Moore said. Moore was lying there with people who had been shot.
