See ya later!
real furst.
Congrats, AMK. I always like toons with cats unless someone or thing is being mean to them. Uh oh, I just gave you carte blanche to post something questionable.
It was almost like a dare, Judith. Ha. Mornin’!
can some one tell sargent, who I like btw, that he has done more than she has ever promised to do?
I’ve always like Greg Sargent but he has been pushing her hard since she got in.
oh, he has always been a clintonista from tpm days but he is smart and admits his errors.
Yes. Josh, too.
It was a fun place to hangout during 2006-07. When sargent left, I also left.
Yeah it was a fun place. I always felt around that time TPM really pointed the way as to what good investigative journalism in social media could be.
Agree that someone should send him that very helpful list that one of our posters here ( meta , I think) has posted that has been so useful in informing people I know.
Morning all!
oh puhleeze…. is this before or after POTUS called for making gun control a single voter issue? Did she just wake up this this week and realize that oh wait…we have an issue with mass murders by guns in the US so I will speak out on it. smdh!!!

R-E-A-L-L-Y…………………………………..YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW………………AND IN THIIS COUNTRY…THE THREAD IS ROTTEN!
But but but Sanders sez it’s a disastrous deal!
Of course he hasn’t read it yet. And he’s against ALL trade deals of any kind, ever.
Because that’s Presidential, isn’t it?
Thanks for posting this, Meta! Really important for as many of us as possible to jump on. My Congressman, Earl Blumenauer has spent the last year developing a many-pronged approach to gun violence. There are a number of bills teed up and ready to be introduced if the damned GOP would open their hearts and minds a crack. He has it outlined on his Congressional webpage:

I’m so glad to hear this. We need leadership on this issue NOW.
Environmentalists Praise Wildlife Measures in Trans-Pacific Trade Pact
WASHINGTON - Environmentalists praised wildlife protections included in the sweeping Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal announced Monday, calling them groundbreaking. http://www.nytimes.com/2015/10/06/business/environmentalists-praise-wildlife-measures-in-trans-pacific-trade-pact.html

Statement by the President on the Trans-Pacific Partnership
I’ve spent every day of my presidency fighting to grow our economy and strengthen our middle class. That means making sure our workers have a fair shot to get ahead here at home, and a fair chance to compete around the world. My approach to trade has been guided by a unifying principle: leveling the playing field for American workers and businesses, so we can export more products stamped Made in America all over the world that support higher-paying American jobs here at home.
Over the summer, Democrats and Republicans in Congress came together to help the United States negotiate agreements for free and fair trade that would support our workers, our businesses, and our economy as a whole. When more than 95 percent of our potential customers live outside our borders, we can’t let countries like China write the rules of the global economy. We should write those rules, opening new markets to American products while setting high standards for protecting workers and preserving our environment.
That’s what the agreement reached today in Atlanta will do. Trade ministers from the 12 nations that make up the Trans-Pacific Partnership finished negotiations on an agreement that reflects America’s values and gives our workers the fair shot at success they deserve.
This partnership levels the playing field for our farmers, ranchers, and manufacturers by eliminating more than 18,000 taxes that various countries put on our products. It includes the strongest commitments on labor and the environment of any trade agreement in history, and those commitments are enforceable, unlike in past agreements. It promotes a free and open Internet. It strengthens our strategic relationships with our partners and allies in a region that will be vital to the 21st century. It’s an agreement that puts American workers first and will help middle-class families get ahead.
Once negotiators have finalized the text of this partnership, Congress and the American people will have months to read every word before I sign it. I look forward to working with lawmakers from both parties as they consider this agreement. If we can get this agreement to my desk, then we can help our businesses sell more Made in America goods and services around the world, and we can help more American workers compete and win.
originally environmentalists criticized the deal but after it got ironed out environmentalists are praising it which is a good thing. Either way never count on Sanders to be for anything the president is for when it comes to things like this. Not that it matters because Sanders will never be president.
Thanks JER. I was able to use both hands to eat my lunch while I read this important statement by PBO :-)

Looks like Joe Biden will be announcing his decision this weekend. Hope it’s a yes.
Or Palin would be the President because something happened to McCain, something brought on by the stress of having her as the VP. Hey nobody knows for sure….
I’ve never watch Doc McStuffins before, never even heard of it before, but I did watch it this morning because FLOTUS was up there.
My great grandson loves that show! Will be sending this to him today. Thanks!
That was the best lunchtime treat EVER! :-)
Thanks JER!!!
FLOTUS saw it again last weekend and PBO is set to see it again in early November.
Must be a dam good play. Wish I could see it.
Thought I’d post a reminder :)

Good Afternoon TOD
I personally checked everyone of these “reasons” and to my shock they all actually happened in September 2015.
putin playing some dangerous games.

i agree…
All well and good…….sounds good, BUT those people will keep right on voting for the person with the R after the name. THAT is more important to the R voters than voting for the PERSON who will do the right thing! :( :( :(
Hello TOD.
It’s a fine day in MN. Sunshine most of all. Crisp and Sweat weather-like……..my kind of a perfect weather ;)
Congrats to Chips and Amk on their respective First :star: and FURST :star: :)

I feel so much better now that this fool has cleared his Sandyhook Truther belief? Not!
and this too
Thank you so much Nena for sharing this info. I am so proud of Rep. Elijah Cummings and his fellow Democratic members on that GOP propaganda committee for standing up for TRUTH.
Thank you Nena20409 for sharing this info.
;)
The sad thing is that no one holds them accountable for votes like this. Karma has caught up with them since the voters of that state ignore their own interests just to keep an R in office.
It’s what I said ~~~~ only vote for the person with R after the name. NOTHING else matters! Can’t fix stupid or ignorance.

2 videos, 47 yrs ago……Guns in USA…..and our inability to find reasonable solutions.
This was at the very Community College where Mass Killings took place last Thursday.
FLOTUS will christen the submarine Illinois on Saturday 10-10-15. Live video and webcast of the christening will be online at http://www.ebchristening.com
I am a student of history. What Alabama is doing is reminiscent of what the South did once African Americans gained the right to vote after the Civil War and during the 1960s. One of the most effective mechanism they used in the 1960s was to close Court houses to make sure Blacks would not be able to register to vote.
BBL
of course not. It’s the republican thing to do.
Democrats Release Benghazi Panel Info After McCarthy Remarks
The Democratic members of the panel then accused the Republican members of using “a series of selective leaks of inaccurate and incomplete information in an effort to attack Secretary Clinton with unsubstantiated or previously debunked allegations.”
In particular, the letter claims that the committee unfairly portrayed its private interview with former Clinton staffer Cheryl Mills by demanding that the interview be treated as classified information and then leaking parts of the interview to the press. The Democratic members included previously unreported excerpts of the interview with Mills in the letter, and they told Gowdy that the State Department and Mills’ lawyers have five days to identify parts of the interview that should remain private before making the entire transcript public.

Boom….Pow….ZaP !!!!!!!
Forgive me for commenting on this because it was about those losing family members to guns, but there goes HRC crying in NH again. Early, this cycle. I’ll never forget when she went for the tears way back when. Just seems so fake to me. Almost like she’s thinking, “Well, President Obama looked like he was going to cry, and he got good press, so … ” Sorry if I’m being totally unkind, but I’m not buying it.
I’d like it to stop attacking our fellow democrats at every turn. I am wondering if people want a republican in office or something.
You expressed my sentiments. While I respect everyone’s opinions, sometimes I find that we are working against the ultimate goal: to keep the WH in a Democrat’s hands. We indulge in purity just as the T-baggers do. That type of infighting will make some Dems ill disposed to go out and vote if the nominee is not their personal choice. The result will be only to have a Trump, a Rubio, or a Fiorina in the WH. God help us!
It’s a primary, Jeff. We’re choosing among all of the primary candidates, and this is an invitation-only blog. I personally try not to comment much about HRC on twitter or elsewhere, although it’s not easy. Your advice will work in the general, of course.
jacquelineoboomer - I agree.
The woman has no morals. Where ever the wind blows she is right there. That is the truth of it. It has nothing to do with “attacking”. It is fact.
Folks are getting a little too comfortable with spewing their racists thoughts. Fortunately, this time, Karma did her job…
Wow, this is crazy.
it s a fundraising promotion…you have to sign up individually for each debate….
I get that but I’m also hoping the details will be released to the general public so we can be informed.
i cannot get over how they are treating this 2016 election..maybe it was always like this…truth be told i never paid that close attention till the President ran…
i never was a big fan of the DEM party machine…it was never about community organizing or community empowerment….it was always a nasty bit of politics
I’m sorry to say I agree with you. It’s freaking me out. And PBO won instead of, or even in spite of, them!!

If that was the case, USA will be the Number Safest Country in the world.
320M Guns in a Nation of 320M people…..a gun for every person.
Instead, We the People are nearly 5% of the World’s Population and with 31% plus World’s Gun casualties.
And the uncle of the girl killed says it wasn’t a gun issue - rather it was a parenting issue. Imagine if there hadn’t been a gun in the house.
And then this too
Chat away
