GOP-led Montgomery County election board shifts early-voting sites

The Republican majority on the Montgomery County Board of Elections, led by an appointee of Gov. Larry Hogan (R), voted Monday to shift two heavily used early-voting sites to less populous locations, prompting Democratic charges of voter suppression.
The board voted 3 to 2 to move early voting from the Marilyn Praisner Community Center in Burtonsville, which serves high-poverty East County communities along U.S. 29, to the Longwood Community Recreation Center in Brookeville, 13 miles to the northwest.
The panel also shifted early balloting from the Jane Lawton Community Recreation Center in Chevy Chase, about a half-mile from the Bethesda Metro station, to the Potomac Community Recreation Center, on Falls Road, 10 miles to the northwest.
Unlike on Election Day, when voters must go to their assigned precincts, early-voting sites are open to all voters in the county. More than 8,000 people cast early ballots at the Lawton and Praisner centers in the 2014 general election, more than 20 percent of Montgomery’s total.

I’ve missed a few days so I would just like to thank all of you who sent me Happy Birthday wishes~ thank YOU. I had a lovely day w/ 3 of my grandkids and all 3 of my sons together (on my birthday) for the very first time. One of my dils cooked crab soup.. and it was all extra nice and my grandson and I have birthdays together - me the 4th and he the 5th.. he turned 8- he called me “birthday girl” :) :) my youngest granddaughter is 16 months and a total comedian, just one funny show put on by her after another… they ask her “who’s crazy?” and she laughs hysterically while shaking her head back and forth really fast- like she’s crazy :)
Then came home and we rescued a crying bleeding skinny as a rail kitty who turned out to be a very young mama in the midst of labor- for two days. Her kittens were all stillborn, so that was difficult. She, however is a tough cookie and is eating/ resting and doing okay.. Me, I’ve got more furry friends than I ever really needed ;)(. She’s a beauty.. and will prolly be permanent as she needs spaying, defleaing, and fattening.

aww thank you Alice. She is quite lovely- a white calico with gold and black spots.. calling her ‘tough cookie”. I did list her at the “next door” blog, but asked that anyone missing a kitty must describe her… as she is in poor condition and either got lost quite a bit ago or has not be very well cared for.. so I’m very cautious about giving her back to anyone. She’s really been through a hellish couple of days.

Clearly, he (POTUS) added, “part of the psychology of Iran is rooted in past experiences, the sense that their country was undermined, that the United States or the West meddled in first their democracy and then in supporting the Shah and then in supporting Iraq and Saddam during that extremely brutal war. So part of what I’ve told my team is we have to distinguish between the ideologically driven, offensive Iran and the defensive Iran that feels vulnerable and sometimes may be reacting because they perceive that as the only way that they can avoid repeats of the past.

This is a really despicable article from Hillary supporter Kevin Drum. He talks trash about VP Joe and then admits he hasn’t got any verification for the story. Pure garbage.
But this is what the media does… they bait and bait with all the positive press and when they think a Dem that is viable is really going to run they turncoat and everything becomes negative. That script was written a long time ago and we know how they play this game. Build him up so they can then tear him down. They did it to Hillary (with help from her) and they are going to attempt to do it to VP Joe should he decide to run.
And notice how the media has hardly any criticism of Sanders….

The outrage at the absence of a POSITIVE campaign that sells the immense accomplishments of President Obama is finally catching wider attention.

Stifling debates while the GOP Owns the airwaves is not a path to victory.
If we are the only ones calling out the DNC then we would be in deep trouble, but I am hopeful that more people will start to ask the right questions.
