agree. they covered all the issues and they answered mostly with knowledge and intelligence. None of the hate and crazy so present with the repubs, thank goodness. And they smartly didn’t take the bait (for the most part) of attacking POTUS as CNN was wanting them to do.

i must say that i am feeling a lil bit better after watching the debate…..if the VP does not run….or if he decides to run..how much more substance he will add to the mix….

    October 13, 2025 at 11:00 pm

Has Hillary been reading TOD? Seems like she’s not (or trying not to at this time) saying she’s against PBO policies, but going to improve upon them, per se. No specifics on how or what, or did I miss that part? Jim Webb needs to go away. How did Martin O’M do? His last statement was ok. Jeebus, BernS seems to be on a stuck record, & advertising himself.

      You’re right about HRC.

        October 13, 2025 at 11:17 pm

Ah, great, missed most of it except last half-hour. Something ran down my backbone listening to her & watched her eyes, body language, etc. My thought was: is this for real or is she trying to get PBO supporters to come to her side so she can win, then eff you all ‘cos expediency, y’all. She still has a ways to go to get me to go 100% in for her. Joey, where art thou?! :)

      October 13, 2025 at 11:08 pm

yah her ending was kinda blah and unnecessary - considering how far POTUS has brought us. But I get that it has to be about her right now and how wonderful she’ll be as President, true of them all. None will measure up to President Obama. But tonight was a stark reminder that we do have to keep a democrat in the White House- when we compare this group to the insanity of the republican debates- there is just no comparison.

All in all a good day for dems and Hillary especially. Now I am slowly gaining some confidence that we might get to keep the WH after all. Hope she doesn’t blow it till 2016.

Webb and Chafee should just pack it in. Martin O’Malley’s stock should rise after this. I hated Anderson Cooper’s stupid question about not running for Obama’s third term and wish one of them had turned that right around and said, “So what would be bad about that?”

  42. October 13, 2025 at 11:20 pm

Who needs to watch a debate? I get everything from Twitter.

    On tonight’s menu:

Juicy 90% lean / 10% fat cheeseburger grilled on my brand new stovetop grill, seasoned with seasoned salt and pepper, garnished with tomato and red onion, on a toasted bun

    Mrs. LL’s homemade potato salad

    You’re welcome

With no Joe in the run my choice is:
    1- Martin O’Malley
    2-Hillary Clinton
    3-Bernie Sanders
Chaffee and Webb do not enter into my need to prioritize.
Any Dem will win my vote over a GOP candidate and their policies in the General Election.
