LOL. He did really stfu’ed cooper, who was whining that most of americans wanted to know about the e-mails. Which ones, asshole, the assholes in the cable noise world?
Actually I think it was brilliant for Senator Sanders to make that observation instead of Secretary Clinton. She would have been accused of being self-serving and defensive. Good for Sanders for squashing the silly email “scandal”.
Perfect. Perhaps the media will get the message now. No one but Republicans are interested in the email “scandal”. Move the hell on to something important.
Speaking of K (I will not type the name) grifters, so said that Lamar Odom got involved with those K grafter although he had problems maybe if he meet a decent woman he would not be on drugs and hanging on to life in a coma.
Morning all. Next week, when our house is quiet, I’m going to take a long afternoon and catch up on all the TOD goodness. Meantime, we are closing in on local and state elections for 2015. We actually vote for Supreme Court justices in PA and this year will determine who is in place during the next census and redistricting. If Dems stay home, the Republican stacked Supreme court will give us ten more years of outrageous gerrymandering. It’s past time for Dems to start flexing their muscles in off years. Our collective laziness concedes too much to the forces that make daily life miserable for so many people.
Good morning, TOD ohana. Still smiling and singing (Audra and Brian are my all time favorites) from last night’s concert. I love how all of the performers were not newbies to the White House stage or to PBO and MO; they are all artists who have been loyal to and used their talents in service of this admin. I also love how talented people do not come to this White House only to eat the jumbo shrimp and to take selfies. Instead they are put to work holding workshops for students, doing mentoring, visiting the wounded in military hospitals, going out in the community to local schools and so many other things that benefit those of us who are not famous, or wealthy or are often over-looked. Our First Couple always look outward, believing as PBO told us in the beginning that it is not about him, it is about us. PBO is still and always will be a community organizer (there was a big national meeting of community organizers a few days ago). Remember how he was mocked for this during the 2007-2008 campaign? His community is the world and he has brought people together from sea to shining sea and from ocean to ocean. To the haters: how do you like me now, bitches?
YOU GO PBO…I STILL HAVE THOSE 2008 SHIRTS AND SWEATSHIRTS HANGING IN MY CLOSET…ACTUALLY I HAVE QUITE A COLLECTIION OF PBO MEMORABILIA AND YOU CAN’T HAVE THAT EITHER!
Oh my…Remember how Republicans constantly remind us that we need to get rid of all those pesty regulations and that corporations will police themselves? They can all F off now..
Good Morning! Ok, i have to get this off my chest: i am tired of all the garbage that insists that ” there is no room for VP Biden now because of ‘strong debate performance’ so he should forget it”. What a load of crap!!! I don’t know about others, but my concerns about candidates is NOT based on debating skills.
My concerns area about character, consistency, record of policy, and ability not to run from policy or PBO when the going gets tough, policy doesn’t poll well or bigots use dogwhistles
Well if Biden decides to run, I wish him well. I will be voting for whichever Democratic candidate wins the nomination. Compared to the other party, they’re all good.
Trouble is that we are still in the primary & each viable candidate should be given the space to decide their course of action. They should not be pushed out by the people who have vested interest in another candidate
Was determined to just lurk this a.m. (on my way to work) but had to give a hearty THIS! to your comment, GCL! I’m very happy and relieved about our DEMS’ performance at the debates (which I didn’t watch, as I’ve cut the cable cord, but which TOD has recapped well here), and how it contrasts with the other party. However, I’m still Ridin’ with Biden!!!
He’s just ‘biden’ his time, which he has every right to do. Thank you, MadameSoph, this is only 2015, people are too captivated by all the distraction meant to keep them from focussing on the incredible work PBO and VPB have been accomplishing each and every day.
In politics, timing it right matters. Remember, bill, hillary and rest of dem ‘establishment’ wanted Obama to run in 2012, instead of in 2008, saying he is still young, time is on his side, blah, blah, blah? But he said FU to all that since he knew 2008 was the perfect time to launch his candidacy, especially having received wide spread support.
Unfortunately, for Joe Biden, a personal tragedy spoiled his timing.
Yes, timing is everything. But until this year, when all jumped in at once, candidates waited until after labor day. In any case, i want VP to decide, not to appear to be pushed out
Newly Released Democratic Debate Ratings Prove That Voters Want Substance
by Alice Ollstein Oct 14, 2025 1:17pm
Despite assurances from the mainstream media that Tuesday’s Democratic debate would struggle to attract viewers — and suggestions its focus on policy would pale in comparison to the name-calling drama of Republican debates — the face-off drew the highest ratings in history for a Democratic debate.
Nielsen reported Wednesday afternoon that 15.3 million viewers — the sixth-biggest nonsports cable telecast in history. That also beats the next largest viewership in history for a Democratic debate — the historic January 2008 showdown between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama — by nearly a million people.

If this is the case, then the Dems (and DWS for all KINDS of reasons!) should use this opportunity to school America on the specifics of what has been happening in America for the last 7 years because the behavior of the Republican candidates is the same behavior they have engaged in every single day of their holding office. Chaos rules the day and lies and obstruction. A singular focus on smokescreens and diversion while sowing seeds of hate and division. They have no need to intense policy discussions, they just want to blow the entire place up! Hell, they don’t even believe that GOOD GOVT is even possible, so why even try! They scream to every TV camera they can find about “makers” and “takers” and “Cut! Cut! Cut!” It’s so THEY can TAKE, TAKE,TAKE! They are the biggest takers of all, but the smokescreen they put up and the MSM they have in on their rigged game goes along with all of it….follow the $$$.
Yes, Americans need to be sat down, slapped across the face and made to take their medicine…so many live in a self made feedback loop bubble…time to pop that sucker and get real.
They want substance? Good! Give them substance and a big dose of reality about what’s really been going on in their name, on their dime, because Republicans are having a tantrum, a power struggle and a food fight all at the same time. America, they just aren’t into any of us, really. Those Republicans left the barn and joined the Big Tent Dems a long time ago….
The President has already told you - the full faith and credit of the United States of America is NOT up for negotiation

GOP leaders divided over whether to pretend to stage another doomed debt limit hostage crisis
By Greg Sargent October 14 at 3:46 PM
So it looks like John Boehner may be contemplating a scenario that will get conservatives very, very angry but could spare the rest of us from a whole lot of noisy drama. Politico reports:
House Speaker John Boehner is looking to move a bill to lift the debt ceiling before he leaves Congress, a tactic aimed at helping his successor, according to multiple sources with knowledge of internal party planning.
Timing has not been decided, but the Treasury Department says the nation’s borrowing limit needs to be raised by Nov. 5, and Boehner (R-Ohio) would like to resolve the issue before a new speaker is sworn in. Boehner expects to step down Oct. 30. His office declined to comment for this story.
Boehner is in discussions with Senate leadership and the White House over a budget package that would include raising the debt ceiling, but House GOP aides do not expect the talks to produce an agreement. GOP leadership aides have discussed passing a standalone debt limit bill should the talks break down. Many senior Republican aides and lawmakers see a “clean” debt limit bill as the only real option.
Up along the east side of the Canadian Rockies, where the Canadians were smart to reserve all the incredible beauty and the glaciers as National Park, it has been long documented how the wildlife streams into the safety of the Park borders as soon as hunting season begins. I find it unfathomable that humans should be wanting or needing to kill wildlife in this day and age. That is some reptilian-brain dominance operating there, walking upright in human form.
I can’t wait to see this.
I went and checked on Amazon - you can rent it for $6.99.

Actually I think it was brilliant for Senator Sanders to make that observation instead of Secretary Clinton. She would have been accused of being self-serving and defensive. Good for Sanders for squashing the silly email “scandal”.

Wow, Rikyrah, just think what the world would be like if everyone who “made” it turned around and helped other people.
Yes, instead of buying very expensive exotic sports cars for a Kardashian/Jenner grifter-in-training who has just turned 18 (looking at you Tyga).

Nice! Now this is a hero.
This is what PBO says all the time. Reach back and help those up the ladder. Great story!

Wonderful summary of this amazing man and his equally amazing wife.
Volkswagen has been ordered to recall 2.4 million cars in Germany by the country’s automotive watchdog as a result of the diesel emissions scandal.
German media reports suggest the KBA earlier rejected VW’s proposals that car owners could voluntarily bring their cars in for repair.
Meanwhile, Italian police have raided VW offices in Verona and Lamborghini offices in Bologna.
Reports suggest Italian prosecutors are investigating alleged commercial fraud.
Separately, the man tipped to become VW’s North America boss has resigned.
