VC, I’ve decided that TOD is like a game of ‘double dutch” jump rope. You have to jump right in the middle of the swinging ropes and not worry about what went before. Sooner or later someone will repeat an important point as long as you keep jumping that rope.

· Payment for health care for nearly 5.9 million veterans cared for at VA hospitals and health centers
· Education assistance for nearly 1.1 million veterans
· Home loan support for nearly 630,000 million veterans
· Earned payments to American small businesses, who earned more than $91 billion dollars for goods and services rendered last year, and used those dollars to support more than 550,000 jobs
· Payments to nearly 1 million doctors and other health care practitioners who provided health care to Medicare beneficiaries
· Payments to schools for nutritious meals – 30.5 million children participated in the school lunch program
· Payments to almost 50,000 National Institutes of Health grantees, who are conducting life-saving medical research and providing an estimated 300,000 jobs

I’ve been tracking some of the analysis in Canada on the CBC. Seems that Harper really played up the anti-Muslim bigotry and beat the drum about banning the use of the niqab (face veil). Analysis is that all backfired in a powerful way because most Canadians see their country as an accepting multi-cultural society. Would that US culture was more strongly inclined that way.
Wish it was the case Bill - but the leader of the NDP came out in force saying allow people to wear what they will and lost their vote to the liberals. I haven’t found what Trudeau had to say about the issue.
