He is on a roll with this pathetic whining and bluster called gop debate. And they got nine more of this. Now be happy dws didn’t budge on no. of debates.
Trump comparing “negotiating” the debate from 3 to 2 hours to the Iran deal was especially hilarious. To be told by the moderator that it was always going to be 2 hours.
One of these sociopathic clowns will be the nominee and half of America, which thinks Team GOP is more important than competence, will vote for the most disastrous candidate in American history.
Morning everyone! Happy Thursday:) From my reading, the one debate question they should have asked, and didn’t is…. “You want a little cheese with that whine????””
They get some snowball question from the moderator and then cry about the Democrats getting “better???” treatment.
I can’t believe their audacity when after they beat up on HRC for 11 hours in their continued, unsuccessful attempt to bring down her poll numbers, they blame the media for the somewhat positive commentary she got as a result.
egg.sack.lee. Apparently the questioning hadn’t even started when that bible baboon did preemptive strike on the 3rd rate msm just to shut them up. And all the other whiners took the hint and jumped on them. If there was a honest bone in the media, they should be calling out the thugs from now on 24×7.
This was the candidate the media praised as the triumphant performer in last night’s debate?
There’s no denying that when Rubio sticks to his memorized talking points, he knows how to deliver them well. I’m not sure what this has to do with being an effective president, but it’s a skill that seems to work on television.
But when the same candidate in the same debate shows that he can’t think quickly on his feet, and his understanding of the issues can charitably be described as superficial, perhaps that matters, too?
My husband wanted to watch, so I was one of those who held their nose and watched [most] of the Amateur Show (a.k.a. the GOP debate) last evening. We both thought that Trump and Carson would be held to the fire and forced to show their knowledge…or lack thereof…about real issues and not be allowed to get away with their usual inane comments.
Instead, what I saw was the “candidates” — specifically those who were outside the middle of the stage — acting on their determination to not be ignored…yelling over the moderators, yelling over each other, attacking each other, continuing to bring HRC’s name to the forefront…. not presidential behavior. Also saved Trump and Carson from themselves (somewhat).
They continued to push the falsehood that the economy is worse than it was when President Obama took office in 2009. They continued in their attempts to avoid answerability by denying comments or actions they had made, or whining that everyone else does it. Some continued their backstabbing/cowardly conduct…claiming love/respect for the other candidates they had in recent days tried to discredit. I saw feigned bewilderment as to the caliber of candidates at the top of the polls The same vain, egoistical bewilderment that keeps them from believing that someone else is perceived to be better and more deserving than they are. The same childishly stubborn bewilderment that keeps some of these candidates in the race even though it’s long been obvious that they have no hope.
In their attempt to raise their standing, candidates continued to attack the media in Gingrich fashion. Their complaints about the questions being presented were as sincere as a used car salesman. They pretended to want more significant questions…questions that “addressed the issues that Americans care about”. I noted that many of the questions posed to them were requests to expound on comments *THEY* had made… about a stance; about a plan; about a promise; about each other… IMO, if they want serious questions, they would be more serious as they go around campaigning or making public comments. [What does Trump ever talk about besides his standing in the polls, or how “spectacular” he is/will be, or how everything is a “disaster”? ] They could care less, and were probably relieved, that they were able to side-step having to answer a serious question that would highlight their lack of knowledge and understanding and maybe even bring to light their true intentions. It is painful to watch them try to explain their stance on various issues…to justify how their “solutions” are feasible. It is impossible for them to do so without injecting the name “Obama” or — given their assumptions of the Democratic nominee — HRC, as if that is all the explanation they need and makes their “pie in the sky promises” more than words to garner support from the people/groups to whom they are pandering. Instead, they were looking for opportunities to play to the audience to extract a moment of cheers/applause. They were looking for opportunities to create (a) sound byte(s) and get free media exposure from the replay. How many of those sound bytes will show them saying something other than attacking the media, the President, HRC, and each other?
I shudder to think that one of these individuals could become the GOP nominee…and be one step closer to potentially being elected POTUS.
Sw, thank you for this clear description of the fiasco being played out by the Republicans running for president. I think you should be awarded for persevering through all the muck-it’s more than I would do even out of love and loyalty to my husband. If Americans defy all logic, common sense and concern for themselves and their future and actually vote one of these schmucks into office, then this country will get what it deserves. But I hope that all of us working together, combined with the brilliant support of President Obama and VP Biden, will give us a positive outcome in 2016. That’s why I will support the Dem nominee in every way that I can. Voting is not enough when so much is at stake. We have to work for the nominee and our Senate and House candidates as if our lives depended on it.
Can someone here go visit Crooks and Liars and bring over the story about Carson titled:Ben Carson’s Pathetic Attempt to Separate Himself From Mannatech’s Snake Oil Claims” I’m still trying to figure out how to cut/paste on this birthday Chromebook…may have to ask one of the 5th graders in my class to help me out here:) Anyway…worth the read. What a grifter this guy is.
It’s a black teenage girl, if the girl look like Trump’s daughter and the cop were black those clowns on that stage would have a whole different story. Including that idiot Ben Carson.
Good morning. My hiker husband is slated for back surgery this afternoon. Hope is it begins around noon or shortly after and should take 4 hours. I will update more late afternoon or evening. Prayers appreciated. We are getting ready to heaad to the hospital now.
TN, so sorry you have this ordeal today. All prayers and positive thoughts for a good outcome for your husband. I hope you have good news to report this evening.
I don’t know how to respond to this. But, I pray he gets the help he needs.

Man Calls 911, Turns In Drugs After Hearing President Obama’s Speech
Wed 9:14 PM, Oct 28, 2025
By: WSAZ News Staff
CROSS LANES, W.Va. (WSAZ) — Like many West Virginians, a man from Cross Lanes watched President Obama address the drug addiction problem during his visit to Charleston on Oct. 21.
Later that day, he called 911 and said he needed help for a drug addiction and asked that deputies be sent to his home.
The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office released details of the incident Wednesday in a release that ended with, “We applaud this person’s self-initiated efforts and wish him well in his recovery.”
The Sheriff’s Office said after repeated calls back from 911 operators that day, their deputies went to the man’s home. They said he put his hands on the wall and said he needed help.
The man, in his mid-30s, then showed Deputy J.A. Smith a cooler full of drugs that included included digital scales, 16 Suboxone packs and patches, marijuana, 19 grams of ecstasy and 158 pain pills.
The man admitted he was a heavy drug user, had watched the President’sspeech and wanted to live a drug-free life for his mother.
The Sheriff’s Department said Wednesday that no charges will be filed against the man. Instead, he was taken by ambulance to a treatment center where he voluntarily entered a drug-addiction rehabilitation program.
I hope he gets better.. this story contrasts our beloved PBO and his ability to bring out the best in people, vs the GOP’s superhuman ability to bring out the absolute worst in people.
Total number of Guantanamo detainees = 113
Number of detainees now cleared for release = 53
Number of detainees Law of War detainees or “forever prisoners” = 28
Number of detainees never charged awaiting parole board = 22 (including 10 at war court)
Number of detainees at war court = 10
Trump, the fading front-runner, was preemptively complaining about the way CNBC would conduct the debate. He had previously complained that the debates were too long and had too many people.
Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) has been complaining that the Senate is too “frustrating” for him to go to the trouble of showing up. Jeb Bush, noting other “cool things” he could do, has been complaining that the campaign is too nasty. Ohio Gov. John Kasich complained about his rivals, saying “I’ve about had it with these people.” Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) complained that his own campaign was forcing him to do “dumbass” live-streaming of his activities. And Trump just complained that “evangelicals let me down” in Iowa. The campaigns even complained about the size and quality of their holding rooms at the debate facility.
The Republicans seem to be testing a strategy of winning by whining.
I work with a great young woman. She’s 26. Competent, committed, willing to learn. Smart. I adore her.
Her boyfriend is an insurance broker who let his own health insurance lapse! He’s been having what appears to be mild seizure-like episodes, and over the weekend had a full blown seizure while they were at the movies, requiring paramedics and two days of tests in the hospital.
His wealthy parents will pay for the hospital stay. But he knows he can’t go on this way.
And thanks to PBO, the brave Dems in Congress, he will not be denied insurance because of what is obviously a serious medical condition.
How is this a bad thing? What is wrong with half of the country, and the other half who thinks voting should be a love affair instead of a long term duty to keep America from going over a cliff?

Congrats!
Can’t believe I am Furst :-).
Morning Roberta, morning everyone! Gotta run, back in a while!
Congratulations. May it be a good omen for your day.
Good Morning, Roberta. Congrats!
Is everyone still out of it this morning? Must have been a long night watching the debates. LOL
Either that or, “I don’t want to talk about that; I want to talk about something else.”

abusive, codependent relationship, fer sure!

Florida Rep. Daniel Webster is encouraging House Republicans to not vote for him for House speaker, according to multiple GOP sources.
Webster is Rep. Paul Ryan’s only competition for House speaker. Ryan (R-Wis.) is expected to win the job easily on Thursday.
