That is how I see it, so even if they think they can erase this man’s accomplishments in this country, the whole world has been taking note, and the internet never sleeps. The Age of Obama, not merely the Obama era, or the Obama years, the Age. He and his work will reach far far into the future, I am certain of it.

yes…i know…this is what the DEMS are in denial about…they have had 8 yrs to deal with this issue of voter suppression and the impact on the DEM electorate…even if they were not interested in empowering blk folks and other folks of color…self preservation should have kicked in..that the suppression impacts on their electorate…

Good morning, TOD! Taking a quick break. Like Roberta, I couldn’t sleep, so I’ve been at it since 5:30 am. October has flown by in a blur and I’m up to my ears in paperwork! As today is the last banking day of the month, I guess I’m grateful for this morning’s insomnia…
Sometimes, being a public servant can be a b*tch! The last day of my full face collection period ends tomorrow, 10% penalty starts Nov 1st; installment face collection period ends the last day of each month, 10% penalty on untimely installment payment(s) starts the 1st of the next month. Tale of two customers:
Customer “A” owns two properties, attempted payment in September, however, checks were returned to customer due to errors. Upon receipt of my correspondence, customer called irate, yelling, screaming, etc. I patiently listened, then gave bottom line, pay up in accordance with PA tax collection law or I would file liens; if she felt you merited “special” consideration, law required her to pay up, then appeal to taxing authority (school district). Yesterday, I received her next attempt at payment. Check for 1st property is $14.43 too much; I’ll deposit and have school district issue refund. Check for 2nd property is $155.00 short — she failed to include 10% penalty for late September installment. As there is insufficient time to return the payment before adding a 10% penalty on the October installment, I gave the customer a courtesy call, offering the opportunity to pay the balance in person today, otherwise, I’d return the payment and a 10% penalty would be added to the October installment (an additional $155.00). Not only did this woman cuss me out, she put her Mom on the phone to tag team me. These are landlords that reside in a neighboring, more affluent community — however, they exhibit the behavior of trailer trash guttersnipes! Bottom line, we are meeting at the bank this afternoon (I will NOT have these folks in my home office), as I know that I can go from zero to b*tch in less than 3 seconds, I’ve invited the cops to drop in 5 minutes after the designated meeting time… Please be prepared to start a bail fund!
Customer “B” made similar errors to Customer “A.” My call to them was received with gratitude that I would offer them the opportunity to pay the difference and avoid additional penalties. I’m stopping by their office at 11:00 am to pick up their check… The Customer “B’s” remind me of why I’m a public servant…
I got it off my chest, so no biggie; however, since it did show up — GET THAT BAIL FUND STARTED! Customer “A” has already called twice this am; I referred her to the school district…
