      So why is HRC coming out with a plan this week? Is she implying that there is no current plan?

        Hopefruit2, HRC is coveting approval from the corporate media. I will not be surprised if, in her major speech tomorrow about Syria and ISOL, she comes out supporting U.S. Invasion and occupation of Syria and Iran.

        • November 18, 2025 at 6:31 am

          I think that Hillary Clinton believes the criticism from the media re: the last debate- that they did offer solutions to a complicated issue,namely what to do about DAESH …the President said yesterday that folks are always popping off with criticism but offered no viable solutions…so enter Hillary Clinton….to offer a viable solution…what we may see from her speech is her vision of the role that she thinks that America should be playing in the 21st century…will be interesting to see how different it may be from the President’s vision. I suspect in her speech she will claim the credit for the successes of the President’s Foreign Policy and saying i told you so for things that he is being criticized for…

          it would be too much to assume that she will stand with …sitting Democrat in the White House…

          the drums of war are beating louder and louder….The DEMS who are WAR Hawks are joining that chorus…the other DEMS are silent. …

            Yeah just like her support for a no fly zone in Syria that all the experts and Dept of Defence says can’t work because ISIL has no planes and it would need 100 thousand approx perosnnel on the ground with tanks , ships etc. to support the US/Allied aircraft etc.

      I’m so friggin tired of the press meme that POTUS was less than brilliant prior to 2016. . Such a load of bullshit.

        I think the President is a cool customer and always has been when it comes to strategy. He’s warm at heart and wears it on his sleeve also. I know that the braggarts and liars of the world don’t understand purposeful nuanced action toward a goal that helps others and includes them. That’s why they just can’t fathom our President. However on this blog people get it and in other places. I would not want our President to be goaded into giving up his strategy to the enemy. The only way to get that out of him if it means losing ground in his efforts is the Edward Snowden way. How did that work out. As far as I am concerned we have a bunch of traitorous cowards in the opposition and sometimes on supposedly the same side. Its amazing that the President forges ahead with coalition building anyway. Love him for it. Guess the canonization of Snowden was a mistake many will regret.

    HAVE I NOT BEEN SAYING THIS????

    Have I not been saying that they long for the delusional world of Mad Men?

    ……………………………………

    White Americans long for the 1950s, when they didn’t face so much discrimination
    November 17 at 1:30 PM

    Yes, you read that headline correctly.

    In a new poll released by the Public Religion Research Institute (PRRI) on Tuesday, a whopping 43 percent of Americans told researchers that discrimination against whites has become as large a problem as discrimination against blacks and other minority groups. And an even bigger share of Americans — 53 percent — told pollsters American culture and “way of life” have mostly changed for the worse since 1950.

    FIRST LOOK: “THE WIZ LIVE!”

    Posted on November 17, 2025

    “NBC embarks on its latest musical holiday tradition: a three-hour LIVE event production of the groundbreaking Broadway show that brought Oz to life in a funky sing-along journey down the yellow brick road.

    “The Wiz Live!” is adapted from “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz” by L. Frank Baum, with a book by William F. Brown, and music and lyrics by Charlie Smalls. The production opened on Broadway in 1975 at the Majestic Theatre and won seven Tonys, including Best Musical. The original massive Broadway hit spawned a feature film starring Diana Ross and Michael Jackson. Now, an award-winning creative team, the imaginative Cirque du Soleil Theatrical and a diverse cast of showstoppers create an eye-popping new take unlike anything ever seen.

    I read the GQ interview. Our President is so smart and witty. He is about 10 steps or more ahead of everyone else, especially pundits who think they are cool.

      And in my own opinion, I felt that Bill Simmons was intimidated, envious and jealous of the man that is President Barack Obama. It showed when he began by stating ” there’s Obama—big smile, big handshake, some ball-busting comments to put everyone at ease”.

      All in all, PBO gave a great interview. He must be used to men being intimidated by him now :-)

        WOW…I think this needs to be front paged! POTUS is not holding anything back and telling the plain damn truth about the GOP and their fear-mongering allies in the MSM. Since this presser was late, most people might not even be aware of it. Thanks Araphaho for posting. :)

    I am glad that PBO pulled no punches - enough with this shameful anti-refugee rhetoric already

    Portugal’s ‘Gandhi’, 54-year-old Antonio Costa, who has emerged as the front-runner for the post of Portuguese Prime Minister, has a Goan connection.

    Kin and supporters of the left-leaning former Lisbon mayor, who won Portuguese hearts and earned the humble moniker after he transformed the fortunes of Mouraria, a drug-infested and prostitution-ridden neighbourhood of the Capital, cannot contain their joy as Costa appears to be just a step away from taking over reins of the debt-ridden former colonial country, which ruled Goa for 451 years.

    “Yes, we are definitely proud of how he has managed to reach the top echelons of the Portuguese political sphere,” Antonio’s first cousin, Anna Kaarina Jussilainen Costa told Firstpost. [ ….]

    what has struck me about the law enforcement action that has been going on in Saint Denis in Paris is:

    - how closely confined the area people are working in ;

    - how many other apartments are near the center of action and hence how many more people could be hurt during the process;

    - the number of law enforcement people who are in that area ;

    - the confused expressions of the people in the area - people must be scared ;

    - reports saying that both the Minister of Defense and the Prosecutor are right there;

    -
