I always catch myself thinking that Malia is quite a lot like her dad. Not just in looks but also the way she approaches and talks to people, how she actively communicates. Not every girl her age does that.

Like many Americans, I was deeply disturbed by the footage of the fatal shooting of 17-year-old Laquan McDonald. This Thanksgiving, I ask everybody to keep those who’ve suffered tragic loss in our thoughts and prayers, and to be thankful for the overwhelming majority of men and women in uniform who protect our communities with honor. And I’m personally grateful to the people of my hometown for keeping protests peaceful.

My concern continues to be …the DEM voters…WE do not vote against things…we vote for things…this concentration on the fascist trump is good…and let the press and GOP fathers reckon with it….i want to know what are we voting for….how do we organize to get out the vote….that is what my concern is
I was addressing envelopes for Knox County Dems and had Chris Hayes on in the background. Rather quickly began paying closer attention as he began playing quotes from 2or3 Republican candidates, all calling Trump a fascist or saying what he is suggesting is fascism. One was the ad from Kasich. Howard Dean was his guest and they discussed how frightened the R’s are and they really do not know what to do or how to deal with Trump and the mess they have created.
So the constitution is no longer valid?? his is the beginning of sedition and treason…strong words?..i do not think so

“I know how quickly word travels, so I wanted to let you all know what’s going on.
Over the past few days my left hand, leg, and side of my face started jerky twitching.
I went to the ER yesterday at Little Company of Mary hospital in Torrance. They admitted me and did all sorts of tests, one of which was an MRI.
This morning I was woken by a neurologist who confirmed that the MRI showed I had a stroke. They’re not sure when, but it was recent.
The whole staff here have been wonderful. I cannot thank my friends who have been praying for me around the world enough, you know who you are, and your prayers are being felt.
I’m not upset, I am grateful. Grateful for each day I’ve lived so far, and for all the days to come.
I am grateful for modern medicine, and for those who have studied so hard to practice it.
I am grateful that God loves me so much He’s given me this obstacle to overcome, and the opportunity to grow in the process. I’m excited about diving into a healthier lifestyle, and hopefully supporting efforts already underway that aim to raise awareness of the importance of heart health.
I am so blessed to have such wonderful friends, family, and clients. And I have a new friend, his name is Twitch.” (Refers to a little soft puppy a friend of hers brought to the hospital today!)
My daughter turned 29 only 2 weeks ago. I can’t describe what this is like, but so many of us here are parents, and we know and share the turns of fate as they arise in our lives. Many blessings, it has been a very long day. {{{{{ TOD }}}}}
Dear Pamela - as a parent & a dear internet friend, I am thankful that your daughter received help and love - our love for our daughters knows no bounds, it is always there and they are always in our thoughts.
