AMK, these toons are phenomenal and frighteningly on point. Thank you for assembling them and for giving Chips a morning break. What an image the US must be projecting to the world at this point. On the one hand, we have a brilliant, cultured president with a nuanced understanding of international relations and on the other we have leading presidential candidates with the nuance and understanding of ravening beasts. I donāt imagine most Americans even realize whatās happening in this country. Theyāre too distracted by the minutia of bargain shopping for the holidays.

In contrast to the beasts running amok in the Republican party, Hillz will seem like a beacon of sanity when the time comes. Neither she, nor anyone on this earth will match PBO, but she wonāt be an out and out hate spewing disgrace like those other side. Husband and I were trying to imagine Trump representing the US at an international event and the images were horrific.
jackie, The “representing the US at an international event” is the thing I have been saying repeatedly. Yes, horrific image. And itās not just him. Itās ANY of the GOP……..each and every one is a first-rate clown. Yes, we are beyond spoiled, but I cannot imagine one of them representing us on the world stage.
I cringe. One way to fix that problem….VOTE!

Always imagine that late November means cozy weather (everywhere except coastal Phoenix, aka Los Angeles area — itās finally cooled off and recent days have been crisp with lows in the 40s), but itās still bright sunshine — really pining for cloudy weather along about now), good for chilling out with the TOD family.
My belief is that Trump has ZERO chance of being the GOP nominee, heās only gotten as far as he has by basking in all the attention — neither he nor his supporters are serious (IMHO).
And MSM stoke the fire because it gives them something to do other than real reporting.
However, this does ring true:
Sadly, Arapaho, it isnāt limited to Trump. There is not one of the R presidential candidates who isnāt a fascist at heart, although Cruz is actually something more insidious.
I still cannot help but feel, deep down, that the ‘Clinton Machineā has put their buddy Donal up to this, in a massive and desperate attempt to make her look SO GOOD, even repubs will want to vote her in. I will hold my thoughts on this until the truth is revealed, which it always is, in the end.

On topic, Iām nervous about HRC as Dem nominee… those old enough to remember the 1990s as adults have Clinton/Bush fatigue, and most are ill-informed, so may vote GOP as a rebuke to her.
Weāll really need to rely on younger voters who may be stoked by “the first female President,” and ALL Dems to spare our country the disaster a GOP President (with GOP House, perhaps Senate [?]) would be.
As we approach 2020, itās vitally important to leverage the progress our beloved Barack Obama has painstakingly accomplished without being distracted by obstruction, blind hatred and the GOP propaganda machine known as the MSM.
There is so much at stake in 2016 for the US and the world — do we regress to the petroleum-based dependency of the 1950s and sink deeper in debt by launching more land wars in Asia, or do we gladly move into the 21st century?

There is nothing in the animal kingdom deserving of being on comparison to these non-humans. I know what you mean, tho, JG, we tend to make a correlation in an effort to recognize they are certainly not human. Animals merely do what God created them to do, they do not manipulate or hate. The predators in the animal kingdom only take what they need to survive. This lot, well, you know all that.

Let me agree with you all, because it really pisses me of when I see that during the midterm election 30% of Americans bother to vote, but 100% can complain about everything. Or on Black Friday they can start lining up hours before the store open, and they can act like idiots over a tv ‘Made in China”, jobs which should be here in the U.S. But they donāt bother to get out to vote for the politicians who will work to bring those jobs back to the U.S.

Update from my daughter, who finally was released late yesterday evening. What a week, please, no more.

After 4 days, the diagnosis was a narrowing of the artery in my caudate nucleus - very deep in my brain, the part that controls voluntary movement.
The culprit, believe it or not - birth control! It naturally contains hormones that can cause this type of clotting, and side-effects. Strokes are not a common side-effect in young, healthy women, but far from impossible.
Iāll be on a few meds for a bit, but there is a potential for a full recovery, and in a little while, I can still scuba dive! And most thankfully, my brain is as sharp as ever.
Thank you again to all of my friends, happy, clients, and loved ones, I could not have imagined the outpourung of love I received from around the world over the past week.
Huge thanks to both this beautiful lady Erin Gimber, and my incredible boyfriend Keith McBride, your love and smiles meant so much.
Next time Iām in a hospital, I plan to be here helping, and hopefully encouraging others.”

Wow. I knew that one of the side effects of birth control pills were blood clots, but I didnāt think that it might lead to a stroke. Iām glad they found out what caused this, and that with the correct meds she will have a complete recovery. I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers on her way to a complete recovery.

I just saw on ABC video, the funeral for the 9 year old boy executed in retaliation. The hearst was some kind of pimp mobile and the color of the casket was bright red. What message is that sending? To me, the first thought I had was - “red”, the color of a gang. If that thought crossed my mind, what thought do you think the rival gang is thinking?
How does it end? When do we stop killing one another? Arenāt the white cops killing enough of us?
