If you’re referring to the National Anthem at last night’s GOP debate, the singer was Ayla Brown (Scott’s daughter).
She did a good job, but after TOD and twitter education, not impressed by #WhitePrivilege Barbie dolls like Ayla, Taylor Swift (her father is some mucky-muck at Merrill Lynch [might be some other disgusting ‘financial’ firm, not gonna waste time looking up]).
As a fellow boomer, just hate how plastic young songstresses are… prefer true talent like Janis Joplin, Joni Mitchell, Phoebe Snow, instead of the singer with the longest legs and shortest dresses.

Today my bug man employed to keep bees, spiders and insects at bay came to spray. My brother who also employs him was at my place as we were watching a Netflix series we watch for an hour most days. My brother lives next door. The bug man began criticizing the current administration in connection with his employee having problems with his medical care. I gave him many suggestions, but he was intent on his complaints. I told him he needed to have a Primary Care Physician to diagnosis and refer his employee for an Xray not just go to the Urgent Care Center for that kind of care. Anyway during the time he was at my house with my own brother encouraging the discussion I said if you are going to disparage this administration you will need to do it outside my home and why. It ended up he wanted more government help with medical and I had to say this is the first President that has gotten this much and it is a program to build on not throw it out for nothing to take its place. My thoughts are that regular people seem to never be satisfied but relish complaining about everything. We need to counter their complaints regardless of whether it will change their tune or not just so they may think before mouthing off.

I think that in addition to what you said to the gentleman who has health issues and needs help with medical bills, is hiding a deep fear and uncertainty.
I suspect that he is also frightened about the challenges of what this constant visit to ER financially means for him and his family in the long term.
I suggest that you offer alternatives about people/organizations that can help him see if he can qualify for help under ObamaCare.
If you can get to the website of GetCoveredAmerica you can put in your zipcode and see the office near you.
Please get the phone number of this local office and give it to him. Advise him that help at this office is free and they can help him get a more long-term solution.
The open enrollment will continue until the end of Jan so if he can go in in the next few days, he may get an answer and free personal help.
who knows, may be if he is successful at solving this problem, this would help him be less bitter.
a bonus would be if he can then think about thanking PBO and/or voting for the Dems who have fought so hard for ObamaCare;

You are so right about countering their complaints. A personal friend has daily posted complaints on facebook about the “ACA website.” Daily, I’ve asked for specifics; of course there was no response. Yesterday I suggested he contact a navigator or insurance broker; he responded that he has and they didn’t help him! His problem? HE HAS A VERY HIGH INCOME AND DOESN’T QUALIFY FOR A SUBSIDY! He doesn’t think it’s fair that low income folks get help, yet “he, a taxpayer” doesn’t… This man has been disparaging the ACA because he can’t get a subsidy! I pray that his complaints about “the website” didn’t discourage folks that need assistance…
Shoulda left the sound off. Now I’m kinda like a rubbernecker at a car crash, watching this debate. Finding it hard to look away. Ugh.

Carly Fiorina said generals retired early because PBO didn’t want to hear what they were saying - one of the generals she mentioned in this group retired in 2003….and NOT ONE OF THE MODERATORS found it necessary to correct her on that.
And I haven’t even mentioned the glaring ignorance about Patreus….

My thought is who would help after all those actions against them?
